My mother is 53 years old. She has pain on all joint & knot become lightaly swelling & defficalitly in propper movement many treatement taken but not got releif. My mother is very weak for taking to any adult dose medicine; creat side effect.

Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult agter 10 days.

Hello Dr. I had asked you twice for precautions of my symptoms. But eventually I got an answer for x-rays or doctors consult. I had wrote for my back pain ,what it was about and what I should done for it. On first reply I got to know my situation was about lumber disc prolapse ,then again I asked after a week than Dr. Suggested me for x-ray of my lower part .But when I went to Dr. In real for checkup he gave me few medicines of reducing pain of my lower back and told me if pain doesn't go than go for MRI for more specific queries of pain. His medicine worked for few days I was less in pain but after few days once again I felt waist jammed or sticked and my legs and arms are soon going to numb. What is the problem now? Why it happening in every 4-5 days after I feel good it starts happening./.should I go for MRI? Is there anything serious im my symptoms? What should I say to Dr. In my next check up? I am just confused I do not understand what I am going thru sometimes im fine sometimes I am agn in pain./

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and mannual therapy will help in painfree movement. Hello lybrate-user, to achieve weightloss - think long term. Weight loss achieved over short term, always comes back. There is a general approach and a specific approach as per individual patients metabolic profile. Try this general approach (see below) for 4 weeks. If this works then continue. If this is not enough then revert for further assessment and customised approach. With customised lifestyle modification approaches, people over 100-150 kg are also losing weight for long term. 1. Do not eat anything sugary or sweet. Zero sweetness in diet. 2. Eat plenty of salad in lunch and dinner along with other foods. 3. Do not drink any liquid calorie like cola or fruit juices. 4. Go for brisk walks or jogging for 45 minutes every day.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

It may be due to residual weakness in the ankle ligaments. If pain persists try getting physiotherapy treatment, ultrasound and specific stretching and strengthening exercises. At home you can do ice, calf stretches for pain. Good luck and speedy recovery.

If the knee pain in interfering with your day to day activities and you want to maintain an active life, then certainly you have much to benefit from surgery. A total knee replacement is safe today and does very well in terms of giving a pain free, active and stable knee joint.

Neck massage will give good results. Use little good oil or plain water and massage from either side on the mid shoulder blade. Use your thumbs and move it slowly upwards on the back of neck up to the lower level of ear. Repeat 5 to 10 times. Do not do from top to down. Finally move your neck up and down, sideways left and right. Results are excellent.

You have not mentioned any cough, bp position or other problems which may be associated. Primarily start taking warm water with holy basil leaves boiled in it daily twice. If you use milk then please boil one or two pippal in it (long pepper) and drink. Arjunarishta 20 ml bd with equal water daily twice after light meals. Take tarunikusumakar chooran 1 tsp at night daily. After a week only twice in a week. Report after a fortnight.

I am 32 years old male having pain in my heel both feet. The pain would rise when I get up from my sleep that would make me difficult to walk. Eventually it would subside after an hour or 2. But the pain remains if you press your heel with your hands. At this point it is bearable. Also I have a pain in my lower back. Just 2 of the bones in the lower back. I am not sure which specialist should I consult because my friends say either visit a medicine Dr. Some has suggested an Orthopaedic and others a neurologist. Please suggest.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Pain in cervical area. More affected in night. Pain may b shoulder level or it may b both upper limb. Some time local tenderness may seen. Headache may occur. Tingling and numbness may felt. Use thin pillow avoid weight bearing and use cervical collar. Hot formantation can be used. Avoid nech forwad flexion. Do isometric exercises.
