The problem may not be related to your sugar levels. Sometimes, wisdom teeth (either upper or lower) can cause radiating pain and in such cases the pain can be felt all along the jaw line on that side right up to the chin. If the problem is severe, we might have to consider removing the wisdom tooth/ teeth.

How to clean teeth
Gently brush the outside, inside and chewing surface of each tooth using short back-and-forth strokes. Gently brush your tongue to remove bacteria and freshen breath. Most dentists agree that a soft-bristled brush is best for removing plaque and debris from your teeth.

I have a problem of recurrence canker sore. It usually happens every 30-60 days. Please advice.
CANKER SORES- HOME REMEDY TREATMENT They can be triggered by factors such as smoking, stress, trauma, or vitamin and mineral deficiencies. 1. Irritation from poor-fitting dentures, rough fillings, or braces can aggravate canker sores and should be treated by a dentist. 2. Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS): SLS, a component of most toothpastes, is a potential cause of canker sores. Try an SLS-free toothpaste for several months to see if such a change helps 3. Flossing teeth daily and brushing teeth and gums for at least two minutes two to three times daily may help prevent canker sores. 4. B vitamins ? B1, B2 and B6. Take a daily B complex. 5. Lactobacillus acidophilus: (Chew four Lactobacillus tablets three times per day to reduce soreness) 6. Chlorhexidine mouthwash used four times daily can speed healing of canker sores 7. Avoidance of certain kinds of food or beverages (e.g., spicy, acidic, sharp) that cause irritation to existing ulcers might help reduce discomfort. 8. Applying ice directly to ulcers for about ten minutes at a time might help reduce pain as well. 9. Canker Cover is a gel-like protective patch can be placed over ulcers. 10. Hydrogen peroxide might applied directly to ulcers and allowed to remain for about one minute at a time. Peroxides can be used up to four times daily for up to seven days, but more frequent or prolonged use might irritate the oral mucosa. 11. Salt water rinses (one to three teaspoons of table salt in four to eight ounces [120 to 240 mL] of water) or baking soda pastes may be tried to reduce discomfort. 12. Analgesics such as acetaminophen (T. Crocin) or T. ibuprofen daily (contraindicated in conditions with gastric ulcer, asthma, wheezing, and allergy), might also help reduce pain with canker sores. 13. Herbal Aloe vera or lavender oil applied topically to ulcers might have some utility in reducing pain and healing time TREATMENT FOR CANKER SORES Prescription Medications We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. 14. Amlexanox 5% oral paste (Aphthasol), is an anti-inflammatory agent. 15. Sucralfate suspension 16. Topical corticosteroids have been shown to reduce pain from canker sores. Systemic corticosteroids may be useful for patients with more severe or frequently recurring cases. 17. Topical tetracycline regimens may be useful for reducing pain and duration of ulcers. The downside of topical antibiotics is that they might increase the risk of thrush. Oral doxycycline 20 mg twice daily may reduce ulcer recurrence.

You have teeth sensitivity problem. . teeth sensitivity is a result of loss of outer most layer(enamel) of teeth..that can be due to : - Tooth grinding - Acidic beverages (such as soda) that cause enamel erosion and dentin exposure. - Brushing with a very abrasive toothpaste, brushing incorrectly and/or brushing more than three times a day could result in a loss of enamel. - A chipped or fractured tooth may expose the dentin.  here are few steps to avoid sensitivity of teeth: - Practice good oral hygiene. - Use a sensitivity toothpaste like Sensodyne. - Don't brush too hard. - Use a softer toothbrush. - Take care while consuming acidic foods. - Use fluoridated dental products. - Avoid grinding your teeth. - See your dentist regularly for professional tooth cleaning, dental care recommendations and advice on treating your sensitive teeth.

What You Must Know Before You Get ROOT CANAL Treatment

What you must know before you get root canal treatment

Root canal treatment also known as endodontics is performed to treat and heal an infected or badly damaged tooth rather than removing it. When your teeth start decaying, you do not feel any pain for a very long time. However, gradually the darkening of your tooth color may become prominent which could mean that the tooth nerve is dying or has died. That's the time you will need root canal treatment which involves cleaning of the canals inside the roots of your tooth.

Why you may need the root canal treatment

Teeth consist of a soft core known as dental pulp. This pulp goes beyond the crown – the noticeable part of your tooth to the root tip inside your jawbone. The pulp contains blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissue. So when your tooth is damaged or has a severe cavity, bacteria can easily make their way through the pulp. Symptoms and signs of a sore tooth include a hole in your tooth, a swelling around the regions of your face and neck, gum swelling, tooth pain or a toothache and temperature sensitivity. If it is left untreated, the decaying material and bacteria can cause a tooth abscess or severe infection, resulting in a bone loss, pulp death and even loss of the tooth itself. The root canal treatment is the best way to save the damaged teeth and escaping the painful process of extraction.

What does the treatment involve?

The purpose of the treatment is to free your root canal from every possible infection. The root is then cleaned and filled to avoid any further infection.

Root canal treatment is a skilled procedure which is time-consuming and usually requires from 2-3 visits to your dentist.

In the initial stage, the infected pulp is isolated to drain out abscesses (if any), followed by the cleaning of your root canal which is then prepared for a temporary filling.

Your tooth is then left to settle down.

In the next visit, your tooth is checked to see whether it’s free from all forms of infection so that it can be permanently filled.

Why Dental Implants Work So Well

Tooth lost to either decay or gum disease leaves a dent in many areas - facial appearance, chewing, facial structure support, etc. Fixed dentures were a good substitute, however, with one major disadvantage. They required removal of natural tooth structure from adjacent healthy teeth. The next big search was to find ways to avoid this, and the result is the dental implant.

The tooth has a visible part called the crown and an invisible part called the root which is hidden in the jaw bone. While the fixed denture replaces only the crown, the implant replaces both the crown and the root.

How implants are done: Once a tooth is lost and the bone is healed to the desired extent, a biocompatible titanium post that is screwed into the bone. This material has the unique property of osseointegration - it fuses to the bone, which is almost like a natural tooth in its socket. This complete fusion may take about 2 to 6 months depending on overall health. After it gets absorbed well into the bone, a crown that matches the adjacent teeth is fixed on it. Implants can also be used for replacing multiple teeth or for overdentures.

There are certain reasons why implants work so well, listed below are some
- The material - Titanium is biocompatible and does not cause any adverse reaction in the body. It fuses to the bone completely and is not just put in place to fill the gap. That ensures that the support provided for the new crown or bridge is as good as the original tooth with a root embedded in the jaw bone
- Post-implant care: Required, but not to the extent required by dentures. There is very minimal difference between caring for an implant and caring for an implant
- Function - As the implant is completely fused and embedded in the bone, it functions as good as a natural tooth in terms of chewing efficiency and pressure that can be applied on it. This is not the case with dentures
- Gum health - Bridges have an adverse effect on the gums with a constant mild pressure exerted on them. Implants do not do that and therefore are more friendly on the gums
- Bone health - While bridges affect the alveolar bone health by allowing them to continue to degenerate, implants occupy the space in the bone and do not allow further degeneration. This is probably the most important advantage of implants.
- Aesthetics - Needless to say, the look of a well-done implant far surpasses that of the dentures.
Check with your dentist if you are an ideal candidate for implant, and if yes, it surely is worth the investment.

Visit a dentist. The method of acidic micro abrasion, followed by remineralisation procedures, assures a considerable recovery of the dental surfaces affected by fluorosis. Best way is capping or veneers for upper front 6 teeth & lower front 6 teeth. Until then use tooth mousse tooth paste. Apply this paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.

Hi, the process of filling the gap between teeth is known as orthodontic treatment, wherein you will be required to wear braces (an appliance with wires) for anywhere between 6 months to 1 year, depending upon the exact condition of your teeth. However, this treatment will serve as a permanent solution to your problem. You teeth alignment will become better and your smile will improve, these days, braces, similar to the color of teeth (ceramic braces) have also become available which are potentially much better looking than the conventional silver appliances. Looking at the exact condition of the gaps, I will be in a better position to answer your query and provide an estimate of the cost. Hope that helps.
