Get your wives tests done like thyroid, harmonal profile and Ultrasound to rule out for any PCOs or any thyroid or harmonal imbalance. Also get your semen analysis done to see for sperm counts and motility.

A Holistic Approach To Fertility

DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), MBBS
Gynaecologist, Delhi
A Holistic Approach To Fertility

A Holistic Approach To Fertility

We have various associations and provides a supportive, personal and holistic approach. The different therapies include yoga, meditation. Each offers a different method of help and can be used in conjunction to conventional and evidence-based treatments, providing many benefits as part of an integrated health plan.

Couples who combine their IVF treatment with these therapies frequently report they feel calmer, emotionally stronger, and more able to cope with the demands of the IVF regimen, and importantly, feel more hopeful about the outcome.

Research has examined the interplay between fertility and environmental and lifestyle factors as well as the impact of specific complementary therapies.

Herbal Medicine, Supplements and Naturopathy

Herbal medicines and supplements can increase fertility, however they can also interact with drugs you may have been prescribed if undergoing IVF treatment and if used incorrectly, they can interfere with your fertility and chances of success.

We work closely with expert Naturopaths who are highly experienced in this area.

Herbal medicines should only be used in between IVF cycles and discontinued at the beginning of an IVF cycle.

Physical benefits of complementary therapies:

A healthy diet along with exercise helps to build a strong foundation for pregnancy and improved fertility.

Complementary therapies such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, meditation and yoga can help regulate your menstrual cycle, improve fertility, vitality and boost ovulation.

Improved health before conception can help enhance the quality of sperm and egg, lower the rate of miscarriage and increase fertility.

Emotional benefits of complementary therapies:

Infertility can cause great emotional stress, anxiety and pressure on couples.

Holistic care can be helpful in lowering your anxiety and dealing with emotional stress while also increasing the chances of conception.

We are here to support you!

You may experience intense feelings and stress at various times on your journey from initial contact right through to becoming a parent. We understand and our entire team is committed to supporting you and helping you to cope as effectively as possible.

We believe that Counselors can be an integral part of your journey providing additional one-on-one support when you need it.

Whether you need a little extra support as an individual or with your partner, We are always there for you.

We are all here to help guide you through your medical treatment, the uncertainty of the outcomes and can provide advice and assistance in dealing with family, friends, work and the fertile world during this time.

We believe in comprehensive care for the body, mind, emotions and spirit and will ensure you receive the best possible advice on the most appropriate complementary support for you.

Can Complementary Therapies support fertility?

Many people use complementary or alternative therapies to improve their overall physical and emotional health. This could include medicines, such as herbal, vitamin, mineral, homoeopathic, nutritional and other supplements, and therapies such as , chiropractic, naturopathy, osteopathy, acupuncture, homoeopathy, reflexology and aromatherapy.

There is limited evidence of the beneficial impact of complementary and alternative medicines and therapies on fertility. While improving your general health is clearly beneficial, we do not routinely recommend their use to improve your chance of conception.

If you would like to try alternative therapies while also seeking medical support for conception, it is important that you tell your doctor. While some complementary medicines may interfere with fertility treatments, acupuncture and vitamin supplements are generally not considered to be incompatible with treatments.

U should try for another 4 months. Have regular intercourse especially during mid cycle i. E. Approx 10 days after periods. Next 7 days have maximum chances of conception. If your wife is unable to conceive even after 6 months of regular unprotected intercourse. Then visit a gynaec for investigations. Don't waste time after that as ovarian reserve (total number of fertile eggs in ovaries) fall drastically after the age of 35 in females.

Eating With Freedom This Diwali and Look Fabulous

Eating With Freedom This Diwali and Look Fabulous

Eating with freedom this diwali and look fabulous

Yes, you read it right. It's the time of the year again when our phone beeps every few minutes, the message is the same, it's a happy diwali message; and images of sweets and savoury which tempt us. But the irony is that now we want to look skinny and not healthy and also we teach our children not to eat them and instead buy them cakes, pastries and chocolates.
We need to understand the secret behind our traditional foods prepared specially on some occasions like chikki and wheat pongal during sankranti festival, thandai during shivratri and ladus during ganesh festival which teaches us what to eat and when to eat and how to eat. So here's where I simplify things for you

The five ground rules

Rule no. 1: go local
Going local will automatically mean that you are eating seasonal produce. The benefits of what you eat seasonal are manifold for example you are eating kiwis which are not produced in india and by the time you eat that fruit, it is dead. Instead eat local guava or oranges which would have some nutrient value. Fresh foods are living foods they have energy and in turns give us energy. So, when you eat good, feel good and look good.

Rule no. 2: go traditional
Earlier most of our meals were home cooked and reserved for special occasions. So, I suggest to eat all the home-made mithai, namkeen and goodies during diwali. I suggest, pick the best ingredients, involve the entire family in preparations, cook with laughter, share what you have prepared with dear ones and relish every bite as it melts in your mouth rather than buying them from

When you eat good, feel good and look good.

Rule no. 3: eating correctly
Our lives are more hectic and in this process we lose our balance, and our body react to it by throwing up ailments such as minor cough and colds, migraines, pains etc. The way you eat reflects things about you as person. You want to make sure you eat with freedom and no restrictions. So there is no denying yourself, be mindful of your food. So set aside your meal time and eat in peace.
Eating with freedom this diwali

Rule no 4: vary your food
Make sure your food has different textures and colours and taste for example our very own indian thali. Stay away from processed foods. Say no to colored foods and artificial flavours and sweeteners. Eat home cooked food.

Rule no. 5: stay hydrated
With so much going on during diwali, most of us forget to drink enough water. Low fluid intake can make you feel weak. Many a time's people replace water with sugary beverages or aerated drinks. I advise to include healthy beverages such as nimbu pani with less sugar, iced green tea, buttermilk, and infused water.

Regular exercise is great for building muscle and losing fat, but if you want to see real weight-loss results, what you eat matters. But dropping pounds isn't about depriving yourself ? it's about choosing the right foods that satisfy without the calories. Revamping your diet is an important place to begin if you want to lose weight. Cinnamon Even just a small amount of cinnamon has been shown to help regulate blood sugar levels, curb cravings, and boost metabolism, so sprinkle some in your morning coffee or smoothie for a little boost. Apples are one of the fruits that are highest in pectin, a soluble fiber that helps you feel full and satisfied. Eat an apple as a snack, and you may just feel like eating a little less when it comes time for your meal. Green Tea Sipping green tea throughout the day is a great way to boost your metabolism and suppress your appetite while also hydrating you to keep your body in tip-top shape. Potatoes They may be full of carbs, but potatoes aren't the enemy. A 2008 study found that potatoes are the food that helped people feel the most satisfied. The skin of a potato is full of fiber and the starch doesn't have a ton of calories, meaning potatoes can be part of your diet ? just make sure you eat the skin and hold the melted butter, sour cream, and bacon bits! Soup Broth-based soups are a healthy eater's best friend; they fill you up, are relatively convenient, and are low in calories. Look for a low-sodium, BPA-free can, or make a big pot of these healthy soups to eat throughout the week. Pears Like apples, pears are high in the fiber pectin, which has been shown to help suppress appetite. Grab a pear (skin on) when you're feeling peckish to curb your cravings for vending machine fare. Salsa A simple, homemade salsa is full of fresh ingredients as well as flavor. You can add the condiment to salads or as a topping on lean meats like fish or chicken for a satisfying meal without high-calorie condiments. Oatmeal Swap your breakfast cereal for a bowl of oatmeal, and you just may see the pounds disappear. A recent study found that those who ate oatmeal instead of cereal consumed the same amount of calories but felt fuller longer and more satisfied, thanks to oatmeal's high fiber content. for exercise and diet chart consult privetly

Hi my wife Now 18 th month pregnant. First scanning made on 12 th Week in dat report amniotic fluid index is normal. In last scanning at 18 th week the anomaly usg scan showed amniotic fluid moderately reduced. So why it is reduced? Apart from all the scanning is normal but amniotic fluid index only reduced. So is it normal? In future it will be normal or not? Tell me details. We r worrying lot. So please ans me. Thank u.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist,
Hi my wife Now 18 th month pregnant. First scanning made on 12 th Week in dat report amniotic fluid index is normal. ...
When pregnancy occurs along with the baby, a structure named placenta is formed. This placenta is the one which forms the amniotic fluid. The baby passes urine which also maintains the amniotic fluid volume. So if the amniotic fluid is reduced it means there could be a problem with the placental function or baby's kidneys or both. Anomaly scan determines structure of a baby and its organs, even if it is normal it cannot say anything about function. It is better to take medicines to improve the amniotic fluid and if it does, to keep it in normal limits. If the amniotic fluid goes down further, to become severe oligohydramnios, at times it is an indication to terminate the pregnancy. So keep a watch and ask your wife to take 2.5 liters of water daily along with emdicines prescribed by your gynecologist.

Though chances are low it is better to use emergency pills when there is unprotected intercourse. Also do decide for future which method you want to use.
