I have 32 teeth in my mouth. Can I grow one more tooth? So, that I can eat my food quickly and I can smile bigger and I can get full paisa vasool from my toothpaste?

BDS
Dentist, Jaipur
Tooth grow does not depend on person. If you have tooth bud underneath gum than only tooth erupts. It is a myth that if you have more no of teeth than you chew much faster rate. How many teeth present in mouth is sufficient to chew properly.

Tips for Proper Brushing

Tips for Proper Brushing

Some easy steps to do to help your teeth keep clean:

  1. When brushing your teeth, position the bristles at an angle of 45 degrees near the gum line.
  2. Both the gum line and the tooth surface should be in contact with the bristles.
  3. Brush the outer surfaces of the teeth using a back-and-forth, up-and-down motion, making sure to be done gently in order to avoid bleeding.
  4. To clean the inside surfaces of the teeth and gums, place the bristles at a 45-degree angle again and repeat the back-and-forth, up-and-down motion.
  5. Lastly, brush the surfaces of your tongue and the roof of your mouth to remove bacteria which might cause badbreath.

Try to brush at least twice a day to prevent acid buildup from the breakdown of food by bacteria. However, if your work or activities prevent you from doing this, thoroughly rinse your mouth with  water after eating to minimize the amount of food that would serve as substrate for the bacteria.

Dental problem I have very yellow teeth. I dont like the colour I went to dentist, he said my colour of teeth is only yellow. How can this be even possible? What should i do to get whitter teeth?

Oral Implantologist (New York University), Advanced Aesthetic Oral & Dental Surgeon. BDS (India)
Dentist, Mumbai
Hii, There can be multiple reasons on why tooth colour is yellow ranging from heredity to medicine related & at times even because of mineral content in the water that we drink. We need to focus on the problem now rather than pondering over the reason. You can go in for bleaching or veneers. Bleaching will be comparatively cheaper than veneers but the whiteness attained will be temporary which will fade away in few months depending on the type of coloured food you eat & your oral hygiene habits. On the other hand veneers will be expensive comparatively but will improve your over all smile completely. Not only the colour of your tooth will become whiter but also any gaps or shape of your teeth can be changed to enhance your smile. These changes will be permanent.

If a tooth gets decayed to an extent that the inner tissue get affected, it can get very painful. See a dentist. Probably you would have to go for a root canal treatment.

No home remedies. Lemon baking soda might abrade your teeth and make them sensitive. See a dentist. Get cleaning done. 30 mins procedure.

Ask the orthodontist to kindly place the Metallic Ligature tags in place of Rubbers They would be less quite esthetic and hygienic.

I need some suggestions regarding my wisdom teeth. Every year in winter season it starts growing slowly. The wisdom teeth growing in very small area. Because of this lower jaw left side corner gum it's coming in between lower jaw n upper jaw. Because of this reason my gum swelling n not allowing to stretch. Infact getting very severe pain n unable to chew. Almost 70% came but the remaining part of wisdom covered with gums & gum swollen & radish. Please give reply as soon as possible.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Mohali
The wisdom tooth erupts in most of us till the age of 25 years. Due to evolution our jaw size is reduced and there is no space for the tooth to erupt. The best option for this is to get your tooth extracted. Consult your dental surgeon.

Actually it is difficult to say which is the best toothpaste can opt for colgate / pepsodent because it cause less abrasion compared with other toothpaste root canal is the only option if you want your tooth to be saved later I shd put a crown (cap) otherwise the tooth may fracture the last opt is extraction.

Patients should visit their endodontists (especially trained to perform root canal treatment) or general dentist after the root canal treatment to have proper restorative work completed on the tooth.

After RCT I had put cap. After 2 month now I am feeling pain in this teeth. Please suggest.

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
First visit your dentist who has done the RCT. Let him/her check. One x-ray should be done. On the basis of the report of x ray further treatment will be decided. If there will be minor infection then it can be treated by medicines only n if not then removal of cap n re RCT should be done.

Bad breath is due to accumulation of plaque on teeth, decay teeth, dry mouth, smoking, tobacco chewing, consumption of caffeinated or aerated beverages, oilly n spicy food, sore throat, bad digestion. Dear user. I can understand. Chewing Tobacco is addictive. It also contains 4000+ carcinogenic chemicals other than nicotine. Chewing can affect your mouth, throat, lungs, heart, stomach and brain in many ways. Cancer is one among the potential diseases chewing can cause. The best method is to leave it and sustain with your will power. There are other methods like Nicotine Replacement therapy and pharmacotherapy combined. Nicotine chewing gums too help as an alternative. But still you will need will power. You may consult a physician or deaddiction therapist or a rehabilitation facility for further advice. You can also opt for online deaddiction therapy. Take care.

Last 2days I am suffering from severe toothache. I tried some medicines. Buy it didn't work out. Help me to get out of this pain.

MDS - Orthodontics
Dentist,
Hi. If the pain is severe than definetly show to a dentist nearby. If their is food stucking in your tooth then it would be caries i. E tooth is decaying and get your caries removes and filling done. It looks as you are telling you might require root canal treatment. If you use pain killers than do a proper course of both antibiotics and painkillers for 3 consecutive days with taking both together morning and evening each day. It will temporary give you relief by subsiding your pain. But show it to a dentist before.
