Dear excessive weight gain occurs only when calories intake are more than calories burnt, It can put a person at risk of thyroid disease, diabetes , kidney problems, arthritis etc... Dear to decrease weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach daily. 3. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 4. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 5. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 5 min per asana. 6. Do brisk walk early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 7. Avoid oily and fried foods, processed foods, fatty foods like butter, purified butter, cheese, whole-milk yogurt, cream, chocolate, etc. 8. Replace refined flour with whole-wheat flour and rice with brown rice or parboiled rice. 9. Drink three litres of water daily

I have joined gym for weight loss, I do cardio and exercise, last week did weight lifting about 30-50 kg when I told this my Friends they said weight lifting is not good and then I consulted my trainer regarding this she told weight lifting is good for health and can loss weight quickly.

Dear Lybrate User. You are making some efforts to lose weight, however some of the efforts are not in the right direction. Things like Amla Juice or Aloe Vera have no effect on weight loss. These are just general health tonics. These products are mainly promoted as short cuts to weight loss, however there are no short cuts in nature. If you have to lose weight, then only a regulated diet and continuous exercise will help you. - Add more Fruits /Salads/Proteins to your diet. - Double your water intake. One glass every hour. - Cut down Oils/Sugar/Maida/Ghee from your diet. - Cut down Puris/Parathas/Pizzas/Burgers/Fried Rice. - Eat slowly and mindfully. Take 1600 calorie diet daily. - Reduce portion size. Take small bits of food in your plate. - Exercise daily - 'Intense' Cardio for 40-60 mins. - Reduce socialising/company of people who are addicted to junk food and overeating. - Love yourself and respect your body.

If it is chronic (means of long duration) then get a ct scan done bcz there may be polyps inside the nose. You can start tab. Montair-l daily at bed time and flomist nasal spray 2 puffs twice a day for 2 weeks. Review with ct scan report.

You should stop leading a sedentary life first of all. Start exercising, drink upto 4 litres of water a day, eat fruits and salad, have grilled chicken, green leafy vegetables, pulses, reduce oil and sugar intake.

One of the reasons that insomnia is high stress levels and time pressures associated with modern living. Many people complain of insomnia, with stress during the day making them too tense or worried to be able to fall asleep at night. Lack of sleep, in turn, creates more stress on the job and at home. However, it is important to know at the outset that not all people require the same amount of sleep. Sleeping cycles vary among people and throughout a person’s life. Restful sleep is one of the three pillars of ayurvedic healing, the other two being diet and lifestyle. Causes: There are many causes that a person is not able to sleep properly. Insomnia mainly results due to mental disturbances. Any type of body pain, uncomfortable weather or surroundings, some disease also results in to insomnia. Overwork and extreme worries may also cause lack of sleep. People who have a history of improper digestion, constipation and habits of eating irregularly are Treatment of Insomnia: Some lifestyle changes and herbal medicines can help treat the problem. You can try these time-tested remedies: •- Do some exercise everyday—but never late in the evening. •- Avoid caffeine in all forms, especially after lunch time. •- Avoid taking naps during the day. •- Drink buffalo milk. It contains rich amounts of an amino acid, L-tryptophan, which induces sleep. •- Take a nice, long, warm bath before bed-time. Charaka Samhita says that bath is the best remedial measure to counteract exertion. •- Read a book or do some repetitive, calm activity such as chanting a mantra. Japa etc. •- Avoid distractions that may hold your attention and keep you awake, such as watching a suspense movie or a thrilling game, TV serials. •- Make your bedroom comfortable. Create a quiet, dark atmosphere. Use clean, fresh sheets and pillow and keep the room temperature comfortable. •- To balance Vata, gradually introduce regularity into your lifestyle. Eating, sleeping, working, and exercising at the same hours promotes harmony. By varying routines with the seasons, you can better adjust to changes in the environment and climate. Ayurvedic Herbs for Insomnia The useful herbs for the treatment of insomnia are:- Brahmi: It is a powerful brain tonic, which supports and improves all aspects of mental functioning. It is a calming and tranquillizing herb. A cup of brahmi tea or powder or any other preparation with brahmi, taken at bedtime, will induce a peaceful sleep and its regular use will help to cure insomnia. Aswagandha: This is an overall tonic for greater vitality and longevity. It enhances coordination between the mind and senses which, according to Ayurveda, is essential for good sleep. The recommended dose is half teaspoonful of powder taken at night along with sugar+ ghee or warm milk. Panchkarma Therapy for Insomnia Recommended Panchkarma are Shirobasti, Shirodhara, Nasya. I had a dry nose bleed about two weeks back and even today the same thing happened. Its not a lot of blood, but when I spit after it there are specs of blood in my phlegm. Is this a reason to worry. The weather is very dry. Also I have a tendency to pick my nose a lot.

Hello Pallavi, It is common to get bleeding because of dryness of the nose. The most effective way to get rid of it is by applying some Ghee or coconut oil on the inner skin of your nose. You have to apply it atleast twice a day to see noticeable difference. Other than that, if you get bleeding from the nose, sit on a chair with your head bent forward a bit, pinch your nose hard with your index finger and thumb. Sit like that for two to three minutes and breathe through your mouth. This process will stop the bleeding.

Dear Lybrate user. Phimosis is a very common problem. In most of the cases You can clear the problem yourself. Apply oil on your foreskin and on the glans. Move the foreskin forward and back slowly without hurting you much. Because the oil is lubricant, it will be easier than without oil. Do this forward and back movement 20 times several times in a day. Repeat the same every day for around one month. You will get the elasticity and you will be able to retract the foreskin completely. Take care.

Try this for joint pains try this. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

Wash your face with any mild natural face wash. Wash your face 3-4 times. Use natural fruit pack. Take 1 pc carrot, 1 pc tomato 1 pc apple grind it mixed with honey n few drops of lemon juice. Use cold cow milk as a cleaner. Don't use medicated cream. Do not use any ointment in pimples. Do not prick those. Along with this if you treat by homoeopathy you surely b improved.
