Hello lybrate-user, As you mentioned you are suffering from Fibroadenoma of the breast. It happens due to hormonal changes at your age and it is very common. It need not to remove as it is completely innocuous. As in your case, it is painful, you can get it removed. The procedure itself will be minor and can be done under local anesthesia. There has been the role of evening primrose oil, which is available in chemist shops in capsule form, and to be started at 1gm 4 times a day with Vitamin E capsules. These remedies can be tried, but in your case, surgical removal would be rather simple and curative option. Good luck.

5 Symptoms Of Heel Pain And It's Treatment!

5 Symptoms Of Heel Pain And It's Treatment!

Heel pain is a common problem in the body where the affected person experiences pain radiating from the heel bone. Heel pain usually progresses slowly over time, it is recommended to consult a medical professional, if heel pain turns severe. The pain tends to be most severe after one has been inactive for some time such as after waking up in the morning.

Causes

Heel pain is usually caused when tissues present in the bottom of the heel (Plantar fascia) is inflammed. These tissues connect the heel bone with the bones of the feet and acts as a shock absorber. Tears form in these tissues when they are damaged or when they get thicker. These tissues are at an increased risk of wear and tear for those who are over 45 years old. The risks also tend to increase if the person is obese or whose occupation requires standing for lengthy periods of time.

Among other causes of heel pain are heel bone fractures, fat pad atrophy (a condition where a layer of fat present under the heel bone is reduced) and bursitis (inflammation of the fluid filled sacs present around the joints). Peripheral neuropathy is a condition where damage occurs in the peripheral nerves (that transmits signals between the central nervous system and the rest of the body), this can cause pain in the heel.

Symptoms

The symptoms of heel pain include:

  1. Experiencing pain while jogging or walking
  2. A feeling of pins pricking the heels after waking up in the morning
  3. Inability to put weight on the heel
  4. Painful swelling
  5. Pain in the heel accompanied by fever

Heel pain can be prevented by taking certain preventive measures such as restricting usage of high heeled shoes without proper support and stretching the heel regularly. Medications such as painkillers are used to treat symptoms of heel pain. Consult a doctor for accurate medicines !!

Homeopathy and Vaginal Dryness

Homeopathy and Vaginal Dryness

Vaginal dryness is a painful and uncomfortable condition that can happen to women of any age. It is most common in menopausal women. Low estrogen levels during menopause can be one of the main causes of vaginal dryness. Childbirth, anti estrogen and lactation are some of the other causes of vaginal dryness.

Other medications like those taken during breast cancer treatment can cause vaginal dryness. Antidepressants and allergy and cold medicines too can cause vaginal dryness. Some other uncommon causes are the use of vaginal douches which disturb the chemical balance and the unusual autoimmune disease called sjö gren's syndrome.

Hormone replacement therapy (hrt) is usually advised to treat vaginal dryness. But many women do not opt for it as hrt can lead to breast cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Homeopathy can help you with symptoms of menopause by triggering the natural hormonal balance.

Most of the time homeopathic remedies focus on the bigger symptoms of menopause to handle the issue of dryness. Some of the most recommended homeopathic remedies are as follows:

  1. Sepia: if you have marked itching accompanied by dryness, if you get hot flushes that move up your body and mood swings, if you feel pain during coitus and are susceptible to vaginal discharge and yeast infections, then sepia is beneficial.
  2. Lycopodium: you may need lycopodium if you have hot flushes that move up to your face and if your sweat smells, and feels sticky. If there is inconsistency in urination and you get cramps in your legs, lycopodium can help in the long run.
  3. Natrum mur: pain during sex (dyspareunia) leads to low self-esteem and strained relationships. Natrum mur is the best medicine to treat vaginal pain that arises from dryness.
  4. Platina: vaginal dryness leads to both dyspareunia and vaginismus (inability to engage in vaginal penetration, for instance, penile penetration, inserting tampons, etc.). These issues can be treated with platina.
  5. Argentum nitricum: vaginal dryness can lead to bleeding during sex. Argentum nitricum is most beneficial if you experience pain during sex and bleeding thereafter.
  6. Bryonia: hot flushes with feeling faint, headaches and constipation are treated with bryonia.
  7. Folliculinum: if there are complaints of brown or yellow vaginal discharge, erratic menstrual cycle, constant cystitis and weight gain along with dryness, then folliculinum is prescribed.

T3 (Total T3) and T4 (total T4) levels are normally elevated in pregnancy. Hence nothing to worry. Hence it is free T4 estimation and not total T4 estimation which is recommended in pregnancy. Your TSH is normal. To remove your anxiety please get your free T4 and TSH tested and I am sure they will come normal.
