First, you make your mind to wake up early. So, set the time to get up early in the morning. Drink 1 l of water after waking up. Go for a walk for half an hour and do exercise for half an hour. Exercise should include stretches, cardio and abdominal exercises. Have a healthy breakfast in the morning like idli, dosa, upma or poha which are low in calories and help in weight loss. Drink juice or soup which are rich in nutrients or eat a full fruit which is rich in fiber. For afternoon, take 3 chapathis, 1 cup rice, gravy or sambar and a cup of curd and a salad. In the evening, take a cup of green tea and some roasted peanuts which are rich in protein. For dinner, take 2 chapathis with gravy and a salad. Dinner should be taken 2 hours before going to sleep. Sleep should not be less than 7 to 8 hours. In a day, try to drink at least 2 to 2.5 l of water. This plays a major role in detoxification and helps in weight loss.

Dear lybrate-user "Endometriosis" is confirmed whenever we subject any tissue sample for histopathological examination. I hope that has been done & endometriosis is a confirmed diagnosis. I doubt that "endometriosis" is existing INSIDE uterus. There is some sort of mis-interpretation of the facts. We can go ahead with the treatment despite having endometriosis (even after twice operated ). But the treatment is governed by the problem you are facing. It can be 1) Trying for conception 2) Painful periods 3) Pain all the time 4) Painful defecation.

It is likely to be the side effect of i pill. Consult gynecologist immediately as you need to take drugs to stop it now. If it occurs in next period too, consult doctor and diagnose and treat the cause.

Abdomen pain is normal during periods. If it is severe then follow this. Do meditation for mental strength by doing slow and deep breathing relaxation exercises in the morning. Take proper balanced vegetarian diet. Take lots of water and fluids.

Period which you got on 2/3/16 are menses and it came after the act. Menses have come for less days bcos of ipill. As you already got menses after the act you can not be pregnant, there is no need to do urine test. And also sperms can not travel through clothes so with the act you described, you can not get pregnant.

Tadpol Endoscope

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine
Internal Medicine Specialist, Faridabad
Tadpol Endoscope
The new device called the tadpole endoscope (te) takes inspiration from the mechanics that tadpoles use to swim and is like a micro-robot fish with a camera which is swallowed by the patient.

The tadpole endoscope stands out from existing wireless capsule endoscopes with its addition of a soft tail that allows it to be guided around the stomach remotely by a doctor, allowing for more comprehensive imaging and accurate location of problems within the body.

Cancers of the gastrointestinal (gi) tract, including esophagus cancer, stomach cancer and colon cancer, rank as the second most prevalent among all types of cancers in the world.

Three procedures are required for the traditional method of diagnosing cancers in the gi tract: esophagus cancer and stomach cancer can be diagnosed using gastroscopy; intestinal cancer can be diagnosed using capsule endoscopy; and colorectal cancer can be diagnosed using colonoscopy. All of these diagnostic procedures are expensive and put a lot of stress on the human body.

Created by engineers from the institute of precision engineering at the chinese university of hong kong, the te attempts to improve these existing methods by offering a reliable, non-invasive diagnosis procedure for the gi tract.

The process will work by the patient going to the hospital and swallowing the te which starts working immediately. Once the te is in the stomach, the doctor can control the te to swim around to gather images. By adjusting the posture of the patient, the doctor can view the whole stomach.

The te will then move into the lower gi tract depending on natural peristalsis. The patient can then be sent home wearing a sensor pad to record these images which the doctor can subsequently use to make a diagnosis.

So far, the te has been tested in a stomach model and a pig stomach without the image system. The authors hope that the viability of the propulsion model will take one step closer to the next stage of experiments before the device can be used in a working medical context. The research was published in the journal hkie transactions.

I have itching in my vagina and a white substance can be seen in the opening of Vagina. I was admitted in the hospital for 48 hours for viral symptoms. After which the problem has occurred. Kindly let me know the root cause. Is there any thing to worry about?

MBBS, MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Gorakhpur
The symptoms you have mentioned are suggestive of vaginal candidiasis. You need to wash your private parts with vaginal wash available in market as otc product. Don't use savlon or dettol for it. See a doctor and take proper course of medication as candidiasis has high recurrence so don't ignore.
