I am suffering from insomnia sleeping disorder and restless. Please suggest me what to do?

Dear, These are Causes of lack of sleep : • stress • Anxiety • Depression • Pain • irregular schedule of sleep such as sleeping during day time & working during nights. • Excess intake of alcohol , caffeine (tea, coffee) • Due to drugs , Due to high blood pressure Due to lack of sleep there are many complications arise such as lack of concentration ,irritability, fatigue . So these are some instructions & methods for good sleep : • Frequent oil massage of head with oil relax your mind and enhances sleep .You can also do foot massage daily it destress you . • Do not take stress . Do meditation and long breathing pranayams to relax the mind. • Do not take caffeine, tea & alcohol in excess and these are stimulant ,(activate) your brain result in lack of sleep. • Avoid drinking alcohol & smoking. • Avoid sleep during day time as it makes it harder to fall asleep at night. •Try to sleep early at night . Do not think during sleep . Do exercise and long walk daily . • Avoid to take sleeping pills because these are habit forming drugs and these drugs disturb your normal sleep pattern. • Take a bowl of curd daily in afternoon and one glass of milk at night daily .

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. You have not mentined the age, so difficult to say whether weight is low. If you are below 50 yrs, then the weight is low.(ideal body weight = 80 kgs). Above 50 years it has to be 72 kgs. Your BMI at present is 22.54 kg/M2 which is very good. The glucose levels mentioned are fine. Fasting should be < 100 mg, PP is ok. There is no mention of HbA1c%, which should be <6.8 for very good control. You can add some protein foods, plus do regular strength building exercises (using weights and joining a gym). Jogging & running helps in keeping fit. But does not add weight or muscles. Thanks.

You should take homeopathic. Treat ment for that case but for homeopathic treatment you need to give full details of complaint because homeopathic medicines selected on the basis of physical, mental health and homeopathy traet a person as a whole. Instead of it you can apply methi seed paste on your hairs and you can also apply gooseberry i. E amla paste plus lemon over your hairs. Or you can apply aloeverra gel over scalp region. You can give massage to your scalp by mixing olive oil plus coconut oil plus almond oil every day. To make your hair black you can also eat one coconut piece daily and gooseberry too. One more you can also apply curry leave paste over your hairs.

You should get counseling done. Depression has a particular pattern of thoughts and one gets stuck into the pattern. Take actions in life which you have not taken in past for the fear of outcome or social evaluation. There is dissatisfaction created by your mind for not having or not becoming something and the mind also tells you to get rid of this. Do not fight your depression, it will get magnified that way. Get up and do what you want irrespective of the outcome!

I have pain in both knees during walking. During rest ei. Sitting ,lying on bed there is no pain .some to much pain during walking. Taking medicine of all therapy. No relief. Hello. Your complains suggest you have osteoarthritis of the knee. Which can be. Treated with medications life style modifications and also exercises. However it is better to look at your x-rays of the knees first so that we can plan a complete therapy for your problem.

Dear, Causes of irregular periods are : * Due to Anaemia (low Hb level in body is anemia ) * Due to hormonal imbalance * PCOD * Stress * obesity For making regular your periods these are some instructions given below: • Take proper diet full of nutrition . Eat green leafy vegetables and seasonal fruits and a glass of milk daily. Eat a fruit daily . • Do Not take stress because stress causes imbalance in hormones of female and make your menstrual cycle disturb and make your ovulation disturb . Do meditation or long breathing pranayams for 10 minutes to maintain hormonal balance. • Do jogging and running exercise daily .Start these exercise for 3 to 4 minutes daily then increase time slowly . If you are obese loose some weight this is also a cause of irregular periods. • Do skipping regularly for 2 to 3 minutes daily. Stomach pain occurs during periods is due to contraction of muscles of uterus. For take relief follow these methods: * take i/3 rd piece of ginger boil it in one glass of water, when half glass water remain then take it with one teaspoon of ajwayin. * use warm water bottle put it on your stomach area with wrap in the towel. * take rest properly do not do hard work. Do not do running and jogging before 7 days from periods coming date . * Do massage with lukewarm mustard oil around area below stomach and back .

DEAR Lybrate USER. You have to follow some basic things, so that you get better results. 1) take solid diet two times in a day and liquid diet two times in a day …2) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals …. 3) don’t drink water before meal for one hour and one hour after meal…4) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods…. 5) avoid late night sleeping habits …. 6) do exercise regularly in form of walking, jogging, running, cycling, aerobics. For 15-30 minutes as per your strength…. A) take 30 ml of divya shawasari pravahi liquid (patanjali ayurveda) after meals. B) take 30 ml of aloe vera juice along with 30 ml of lukewarm water at night before sleep. C) take 50 ml of trifala juice and 20 ml of honey along with 50 ml of lukewarm water early in the morning on empty stomach. D) take 2 tablets of NASHTA-PUSHPANTAKA RASA along with trifala juice and 2-2 tablets of AAROGYAWARDHINI RASA+CHANDRAPRABHA RASA after meals. Do all these things for 90 days. This formula of treatment effective. Consult to me for further suggestions. THANKS.

I am 32 years old and I get to sleep at night with no regular timings. Some days I get sleep by 11 PM and some nights I don't get sleep by 11. Even if I hit the bed at 11 and though I am tired still some nights I don't get the sleep in time. Then I am forced to do masturbate which gives me sleep. Otherwise I am awake for long hours and all my office routine next morning gets disturbed as I fail to wake up early. I want timely sleep with out masturbation everyday.

Hi, I do care for your concern. Try to have regular exercise, which would help a lot. Try to take more green leafy vegetables, have your dinner at least two hours before going to sleep. Doing meditation will add to the help. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts I can help.

Hello. Sitting for long hours doesnot warrant the chances of arthrites, instead there are definite causes for this disease. Basically the food which are spicy and that which vitiates blood can cause arthrites.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Going n exercising in gym with iron or rubber or any other material, will not lead to erectile dysfunction or any other sex problems. In fact gymming will release more testosterone which is sex hormone responsible for sexual desire n libido. Gymming or exercise improve sexual function. If you are doing hardcore exercise, please take advise of a competent dietitian who is having expertise in body building diet plan.
