Hi, Fever may be simple/ self-limiting viral infection, or it may a symptom some serious illness like typhoid/ malaria/ Dengue/ TB or many more like that. It is decided by symptoms provided by you, and a battery of investigations. Therefore, follow the advice and consult doctor with detail symptoms. 1. Wear light and cotton cloths, it helps in cooling of body. 2. Take Tablet Paracetamol 500 mg (as and when required; after food) for fever (more than 99 F) for 3 days. Maximum 3 tablets with gap of 8 hours can be taken in a day. 3. If fever persists, do cold sponging (with cold water even ice water if needed) to lower down temperature. 4. Drink plenty of fluids. 5. Take adequate rest and proper sleep. Going to work, working out may just make you feel worse as the extra action adds stress to your body. Inadequate sleep decreases immunity of body, which causes worsening of illness. 6. Take proper diet preferably homemade like dalia, khichdi, rice, dahl, chapatti, vegetable soups or steamed veggies. 7. If fever is more than 5-7 days, Get done investigations CBC (Hb, TLC, DLC, Platelets, ESR only), Widal for typhoid/ RDT or PBF for Malaria/ and Sputum AFB if you have cough or chest pain from nearby Laboratory. Consult again if symptoms persist or worsen. ***Get Well Soon*** “Cold sponging is the best treatment if fever is uncontrolled.”

From last one year or so I was unable to get sleep during nights. This started before the day of my main exam where I couldn't sleep for a minute. And from then I was unable to sleep when I have an important work the next day. I usually sleep by turning head towards bed. When I turn to sleep normally seeing roof, my legs will make me uncomfortable and tend to bend or like L shape.

Please note the following for your condition: • Avoid big meals late in the evening. You need three to four hours to digest a big meal. • Spicy or sugary food, even at suppertime, is usually a bad idea. Spices can irritate your stomach, and when it tosses and turns, so will you. Avoid fatty fried and spicy food keep your skin absolutely clean and dry and for your headache do take proper rest and sleep avoid stress and strain and eat healthy balanced diet.

Sweating related more to climate & weather. In winters we do not sweat much inspite of heavy exercises. Fat & weight loss should be the major concern & not sweating. Yoga is one of the best forms of exercises which leads to fat loss, muscle toning & relaxation as well. You may use a weighing machine to keep a track of your weight.

Dear lybrateuser, - Your head pain could be migraine as it is episodic - the most important thing I'd to know the cause or trigger which causes it - it could be due to loud noise, flashes of light as when watching TV, weakness, improper sleep, any strong perfume or smell, you have to try to find out when & how it starts - have a well balanced diet with more of fruits & green leafy vegetables, whole grains & lean proteins, have snacks in between meals - have 7-8 glasses of water for proper hydration - sleep well for at least 7-8 hrs at night - do regular exercise like walking - consult a doctor as you may require medication .

How to Overcome Snoring

1. Loose weight. Can reduce fatty tissue in the back of the throat and decrease or even stop snoring.

2. Exercise can also help to stop snoring. As well aiding weight loss, exercising your arms, legs, and abs, for example, also leads to toning the muscles in your throat, which in turn can lead to less snoring.

3. Quit smoking. Smoking irritates the membranes in the nose and throat which can block the airways and cause snoring.

4. Avoid alcohol, sleeping pills, and sedatives because they relax the muscles in the throat and interfere with breathing.

5. Establish regular sleep patterns. Create a healthy bedtime ritual with your partner and stick to it.

6. Clear nasal passages. If you have a stuffy nose, rinse sinuses with saline before bed. If you have allergies, reduce dust mites and pet dander in your bedroom or use an allergy medication. Pt nasoclear nasal drop inboth nostril before sllep.

7. Keep bedroom air moist. Dry air can irritate membranes in the nose and throat, so if swollen nasal tissues are the problem, a humidifier may help.

8. Change your sleeping position. Elevating your head four inches may ease breathing and encourage your tongue and jaw to move forward. Sleep on your side instead of your back.

 9. Try an anti-snoring mouth appliance.

10 throat exercises to prevent snoring

A. Repeat each vowel (a-e-i-o-u) out loud for three minutes a few times a day

B. Place the tip of your tongue behind your top front teeth. Slide your tongue backwards for three minutes a day.

C. Close your mouth and purse your lips. Hold for 30 seconds.

D. With mouth open, move jaw to the right and hold for 30 seconds. Repeat on left side.

E. With mouth open, contract the muscle at the back of your throat repeatedly for 30 seconds.

Dear, These are some instructions & methods for good sleep: • Frequent oil massage of head with oil relax your mind and enhances sleep. You can also do foot massage daily it destress you. * Eat food with a bowl of curd and after that off the light and go to sleep because after eating meal our brain become relax and sleep comes. • Drink a glass of milk at night daily. * Avoid the excess use of laptop and phone during night. They also cause sleeplessness. • Do not take caffeine, tea & alcohol in excess and these are stimulant,(activate) your brain result in lack of sleep. • Avoid drinking alcohol & smoking. • Do not take stress. I have BP & sugar. I am taking medicine for BP (Telefirst-H & Homo-16N & ecosprin-75) . For sugar not taking any medicine ,controlled by diets only. What should be the frequency of check for BP &Sugar .Also the other check up needs . I am working as manager in Pvt industry. I am fine now. If you are suffering from acidity for 4 years with no relief then I believe you have not taken right medications. If inspite of medications you are having this problem then you need to undergo upper gi endoscopy. Take otc drug ranitidine 150 mg twice daily for 5 days and see for effect. Maintain strict routine of meals. Avoid oily/ spicy/ outside cooked food.
