I am facing a frequent pain at my lower back (just above hips / feels like deep inside the hips) its starts with one side of the body and in couple of days moves to both sides. I feel the pain when I sit, lean or rest. While standing and walking I do not feel much pain. What could be the reason? Do I have to go for any test. I feels this very often now a days.

Do x-ray of lumbar spine and posture correction must. Do hot fermentation and stretching exercise of spine. Avoid long sitting toward bending and lifting heavyweight.

Hello at first you go for proper assessment of your body. Because why pain is ariseing in your body. I am not seen u. But I can give you an advice. Dear you can follow these methods for relief from backache (back pain): * first correct your sitting posture. Do not bend your lower back. You can use lumber belt for support. * do regular back strength exercises. Move your clockwise and anticlock wise. * do not sleep on very soft bed, sleep on slight hard cotton mattress. * do tadasana and bhjangasana for back strengthening. If you can not understand these asans you can consult me. * take calcium rich diet and calcium and vitamin d supplements regularly. *do not take any heavy weight or heavy work. * if you are over weight then follow a good and effective diet plan to loose some kilos of weight. put hands and feets in warm water. apply zandu balm or any other pain relief ointment and then put foots and palms in warm water for about 20 mins to reduce irritation.

Asthma can be controlled only by use of asthma controller medication by inhalation with spacer. No cure for asthma in any pathy. Can pass urine during cough due to short urine passage in females. Do perineal exercise. Consult ortho dos for backach.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Your knee pain could be due to certain reasons but common ones are chondromalacia, pain due to knee instability, inflammation etc. If there is no history of any injury, and no s/s of inflammation or infection like swelling, skin redness or local warmth on touching, then I will like to advise you for conservative management initially in form of: - intensive physical therapy with focus on strengthening of quadriceps and stretching of other group of muscles - gentle anti inflammatory medications like tab etoshine or tab paracetamol can be taken in small doses for 5-7 days - adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation as per requirement - ice packs at home for 3-4 times in a day and see how it goes for around 2 weeks time. If your condition does not improve, then we will have to get certain investigations done. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket. And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

Mam, need more information. Possible cause- prolong sleeping over left shoulder, any sudden jerk, carry hand back (college bag) over left shoulder, treatment- do exercises for sits muscle which you can check on the google. Hope this will definetly helps you

One of the main causes of foot pain is wearing shoes that do not fit properly. You can also develop foot pain if you are injured during high-impact exercise or sport activities, such as jogging or intense aerobics. There are a few general tips that can help relieve your discomfort. These include: 1. Applying ice to the affected area 2. Taking an over-the-counter pain reliever 3. Using foot pads to prevent rubbing on the affected area 3. Keeping the foot that is causing you pain elevated 4. Resting your foot as much as possible you can take many measures to help prevent ongoing foot pain. For example: 1. Choose comfortable, roomy, and well-cushioned shoes 2. Avoid shoes with large heels and narrow toe areas 3. Maintain a healthy weight 4. Stretch before engaging in vigorous exercise 5. Practice good foot hygiene 6. Always wear some type of footwear when outdoors to protect your feet. For knee pain: there are many conditions that can cause knee pain. - ice is useful for the control of pain and swelling. It can be applied to the knee for 15 to 20 minutes as often as every two to four hours. -activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -if the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities should be avoided until knee pain and swelling resolve: squatting kneeling twisting and pivoting jogging aerobics, dancing playing sport you need detail assessment with a physiotherapist to find out what causing you this pain. Yes lybrate-user ji according to your height your weight is much much more. Your weight should be 64 kg. So you need to reduce minimum 21 kg. And for that you need to go to gym and exercise for one and half hours. Your knee pain is due to overweight and not due to exercise. And if you wil go to gym only for one hour than you will not loose your weight. So to reduce weight go to gym for obe and half hoyears along with you need to take care of your calory intake. Do not take any hard or cold drinks avoid fried food and sweets. After you loose some 9 or 10 kg they wil advice you some muscle strengthening exercise for your knee. So its a long term program. I think will take some obe year.

For calcium deficiencies you need to give her calcium supplements. Also check her vitamin d level. For knee arthritis pain a heating pad or cold pack can feel really good on achy joints. Use whichever one feels better unless you have an injury, in which case cold is best for the first couple of days. You can apply cold or heat several times a day. Just remember to cover the cold pack with a towel and keep your heating pad at a low setting to avoid burning your skin. Whether you use heat or cold, remove it after 20 to 30 minutes. Physical activity is essential for people with osteoarthritis, whether it means walking around your apartment. Activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -if the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities you should avoid until knee pain and swelling resolve: squatting kneeling twisting and pivoting see a physiotherapist for stretching and strengthening exercises of leg muscles. Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.
