How to prevent smelly excretion please help me I have this problem from past 2 years .tel me what to do?
Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Please do not panic or worry. The whitish substance is called smegma. Smegma is a combination of shed skin cells, skin oils, urine, sperm cells and moisture. It occurs in both male and female genital organs. In females, it collects around the clitoris and in males, smegma can collect under the foreskin. There is no evidence that smegma causes penile cancer, but its presence over a long period of time may irritate and inflame the penis, which may increase the risk of cancer. It may also make it harder to see very early cancers. Clean the area beneath your foreskin daily twice after pulling your foreskin back. Take care.

Please note the following for your condition: • Avoid big meals late in the evening. You need three to four hours to digest a big meal. • Spicy or sugary food, even at suppertime, is usually a bad idea. Spices can irritate your stomach, and when it tosses and turns, so will you. Having a lot of sugary food—especially chocolate, which contains caffeine—can make you feel jumpy. • Try a soothing aromatic bath before bedtime. Add 5 drops lavender oil and 3 drops ylang-ylang oil to warm bathwater and enjoy a nice soak. Consult me for homeopathic treatment.

Mr. Lybrate-user, yes that is right. To diagnose diabetes either fbs has to be equal to or more than 126 mg & pp equal to or more than 200 mg / 100 ml. So what is your query? values between 108 to 125 mg (impaired fasting glucose), pp 141 to 199 mg (impaired glucose tolerance, igt) which also is called as pre-diabetes. Thanks.

Weight Management for Diabetics

Weight Management for Diabetics

Type 2 diabetes, the type of diabetes which is common in adults, is a disease of insulin resistance, a condition in which the body produces insulin but does not use it effectively. When people have insulin resistance, glucose builds up in the blood instead of being absorbed by the cells, leading to type 2 diabetes or prediabetes. Insulin resistance is associated with excess body weight and often gives rise to metabolic syndrome, also called insulin resistance syndrome, is a group of traits and medical conditions linked to overweight and obesity that puts people at risk for both CVD and type 2 diabetes.

Losing excess body weight, therefore helps people with diabetes and prediabetes in several ways

-Weight loss results in less insulin resistance in the body so that blood sugar is better controlled
-Weight loss also results in decreased blood pressure and better blood lipid profile thus reducing the heart risk
-Weight loss results in positive changes in mood and behavior and gives a sense of control over the disease

Therefore, the guidelines, by expert agencies in diabetes care, recommend that

-Overweight/obese people should try to lose weight and get their BMI< 23; this target is suitable for people with less burden of excess weight (BMI up to ~ 25)
-For people who are morbidly obese (BMI greater than 27.5 or more in people of Indian subcontinent), initial target is to lose 5-10% of body weight within six months to year
-Gradual weight loss is recommended, for which a moderate calorie restriction of 500 calories is advised, but in severely obese people a calorie restriction of up to 1000 calories
-The radically restrictive diets such as low carb, low fat, Atkins etc. have not been found to be superior for either weight loss or sugar/cholesterol control over other diets
-Adherence to the calorie restricted diet is single most important factor for weight loss maintenance
-Recommended level of exercise for all adults (150 minutes/week of moderate-intensity exercise and 2-3 sessions of resistance exercise/week) help in greater weight loss when combined with a dietary calorie restriction of 500 calorie/day. But, for exercise alone to produce weight loss, 225-400 minutes of moderate intensity exercise is needed
-Drugs or surgery for weight loss may help in people with higher BMI (greater than 27.5 for drugs and greater than 32.5 for weight loss surgery), if you fall in these groups, you should discuss the use of these measures with your doctor

Thus, if you are diabetic or prediabetic and are overweight, you should get into a weight loss program to reduce your health risk.

Hello lybrate user, - 1st thing to do is changing the posture of mobile or pc usage, which might be the cause for the pain - also use thin and soft pillow - adopt neck exercises daily for 15 minutes - you can adopt what ayurveda says here, apply some medicated oils like sahacharadi taila and do hot fomentation for 15 min daily, which makes your muscles more flexible and strengthen the joints - do this for 10 days and if the pain still persist then take an x-ray and consult to the doctor in personal. Thank you.

It is not a disease and need not worry Ejaculation of semen during sexual intercourse before or immediately after penetration. Premature ejaculation occurs when a man ejaculates sooner during sexual intercourse than he or his partner would like. Premature ejaculation is a common sexual complaint. Estimates vary, but as many as 1 out of 3 men say they experience this problem at some time. As long as it happens infrequently, it's not cause for concern. The primary symptom of premature ejaculation is the inability to delay ejaculation for more than one minute after penetration. However, the problem may occur in all sexual situations, even during masturbation. Premature ejaculation can be classified as lifelong (primary) or acquired (secondary). Lifelong premature ejaculation occurs all or nearly all of the time beginning with your first sexual encounters. Acquired premature ejaculation has the same symptoms but develops after you've had previous sexual experiences without ejaculatory problems. Many men feel that they have symptoms of premature ejaculation, but the symptoms do not meet the diagnostic criteria for premature ejaculation. Instead these may have natural variable premature ejaculation, which is characterized by periods of rapid ejaculation as well as periods of normal ejaculation. Psychological causes Some doctors believe that early sexual experiences may establish a pattern that can be difficult to change later in life, such as: • Situations in which you may have hurried to reach climax in order to avoid being discovered • Guilty feelings that increase your tendency to rush through sexual encounters Other factors that can play a role in causing premature ejaculation include: • Erectile dysfunction. Men who are anxious about obtaining or maintaining an erection during sexual intercourse may form a pattern of rushing to ejaculate, which can be difficult to change. • Anxiety. Many men with premature ejaculation also have problems with anxiety — either specifically about sexual performance or related to other issues. • Relationship problems. If you have had satisfying sexual relationships with other partners in which premature ejaculation happened infrequently or not at all, it's possible that interpersonal issues between you and your current partner are contributing to the problem. Biological causes A number of biological factors may contribute to premature ejaculation, including: • Abnormal hormone levels • Abnormal levels of brain chemicals called neurotransmitters • Abnormal reflex activity of the ejaculatory system • Certain thyroid problems • Inflammation and infection of the prostate or urethra • Inherited traits • Nerve damage from surgery or trauma (rare) Common treatment options for premature ejaculation include behavioural techniques, topical anaesthetics, oral medications and counselling. Keep in mind that it may take a little time to find the treatment or combination of treatments that will work for you. Behavioural techniques In some cases, therapy for premature ejaculation may involve taking simple steps, such as masturbating an hour or two before intercourse so that you're able to delay ejaculation during sex. You may try avoiding intercourse for a period of time and focusing on other types of sexual play so that pressure is removed from your sexual encounters. You can also try diverting your mind before ejaculation is ready to come and proceeding after a brief break, thereby prolonging duration of intercourse / action The pause-squeeze technique You and your partner can use of a method called the pause-squeeze technique. This method works as follows: 1. Begin sexual activity as usual, including stimulation of the penis, until you feel almost ready to ejaculate. 2. Have your partner squeeze the end of your penis, at the point where the head (glans) joins the shaft, and maintain the squeeze for several seconds, until the urge to ejaculate passes. 3. After the squeeze is released, wait for about 30 seconds, then go back to foreplay. You may notice that squeezing the penis causes it to become less erect, but when sexual stimulation is resumed, it soon regains full erection. 4. If you again feel you're about to ejaculate, have your partner repeat the squeeze process. By repeating this as many times as necessary, you can reach the point of entering your partner without ejaculating. After a few practice sessions, the feeling of knowing how to delay ejaculation may become a habit that no longer requires the pause-squeeze technique. Topical anaesthetics Anaesthetic creams and sprays that contain a numbing agent, such as lidocaine or procaine, are sometimes used to treat premature ejaculation. These products are applied to the penis a short time before sex to reduce sensation and thus help delay ejaculation. A lidocaine spray for premature ejaculation is available Although topical anaesthetic agents are effective and well-tolerated, they have potential side effects. For example, some men report temporary loss of sensitivity and decreased sexual pleasure. In some cases, female partners also have reported these effects. In rare cases, lidocaine or procaine can cause an allergic reaction. Oral medications Many medications may delay orgasm. Although none of these drugs is specifically worthwhile as people believe, approved medications may be prescribed for either on-demand or daily use, and may be prescribed alone or in combination with other treatments to treat premature ejaculation, some are used for this purpose, including antidepressants, analgesics and phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors
