I am 30 years old and pregnant. This is my second baby. When I was first pregnant I have suffer during seventh and eighth month the problem of leakage of water. And now in second time my problem is same as it is. What is the reason and solutions.

DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), PGDHHM, MBBS

Most likely causes fof leakage is infection either urine or local vaginal infection. So get complete blood count, urine test and vaginal swab to look for cause. Treat the cause and have complete bed rest with foot end elevated to prevent leakage.

HIV test if negative proves you are AIDS free, but you need to be examined by an urologist to rule out other infections which may be transmitted by sex.

How to get rid of the pain in periods The uterus gets swollen during the periods Any solution to get rid of it.

BHMS, DEMS
Homeopath, Pune
Some pain, cramping, and discomfort during menstrual periods is normal. The medical term for painful menstruation is dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea occurs in women who experience pain just before and during menstruation, but who are otherwise healthy. Women who have had normal periods that later become painful may have secondary dysmenorrhea. This condition is usually accompanied by a problem affecting the uterus or other pelvic organs. Home treatment= using a heating pad on your pelvic area or back massaging the abdomen taking a warm bath regular physical exercise eating light, nutritious meals practicing relaxation techniques or yoga taking vitamin b-6, vitamin b-1, vitamin e, omega-3 fatty acids, calcium, and magnesium supplements while reducing your intake of salt, alcohol, caffeine, and sugar to prevent bloating raising your legs or lying with your knees bent. If home treatment is not successful in relieving your menstrual pain, homeopathic treatment will give you best result without side effect.

I am married before 6 days and have continuous unprotected intercourse with husband n taking sperm inside if now I took ipill will it effect for not getting pregnant?

MBBS, MD Psychiatry, DNB Psychiatry
Psychiatrist, Nagpur
It depends on whether you had sex in your safe or unsafe period. I-pill has to be taken within 72 hours of any unprotected intercourse. However that is only a emergency contraception. If you wish to have contraception for a longer time then visit a gynecologist and start a contraception of your choice. Till then to avoid pregnancy you may use barrier methods like condoms.

Your developing baby is protected by the amniotic fluid in your uterus, as well as the strong muscles of the uterus itself. Sexual activity won't affect your baby...so it is completely safe to sex during pregnancy....

I am a mother of a one year old child. We are not interested in another baby soon. Also I am afraid of using surgical pregnancy prevention like copper T. As condom do not help in enjoying sex can you please instruct me any pregnancy preventing pills. We haven't yet tried any. Because of this we are afraid during sexual intercourse.

MD - Homeopathy, BHMS
Homeopath, Lucknow
Dear lybrate-user, if you do not want copper t or condoms then you have to concentrate on your menstrual cycle. The normal fertile period is from 12th day to 20th day of the first date of menses. These 8 days are not safer period, rest are safer period you can enjoy on those days. But prevent your self without any precaution in these 8 days. One homeopathic medicine is saclorin. Take 1 tablet weekly to lower the chance of pregnancy. Thanks.

Me & my gf had unprotected sex on 7th. She has MC on around 9th or 10th. Is there any possibilities of getting her pregnant. Because I know 9 days before & after of MC is not a fertile period of a girl. Is that right. please help fast.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
As she already had menses after sex, she is not pregnant. You r correct in fertile days but sperms can live upto 7 days so it is better to give ipill in such situations in future. Right now she does not need i-pill.

My age is 24. I have big doubt. The skin in my penis is not moving back. One day I forcefully moved it back with some pain which has not moved totally & regained its position. What should I do. My friends told me that skin on penis should move in order to have a good relationship with partner. Do I need any operation. Please clarify. Am afraid of it. Thanks a lot.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Bundi
No need to afraid. This is phimosis. Do not forcefully move it back otherwise paraphimosis stage will be troublesome. Get small 10 minute surgery done by a good surgeon. Its called circumcision. Till then put tap water from some ht above glans penis/ urethral opening, straight. If you masturbate, do some lubrication od glans so that lubricant enters inside skin and penis. This is in no way recommending routine masturbation.

Unless and until we get a physical examination of your pelvis done it's hard to comment as to what can be the cause. I request you to check yourself up with a lady sexologist or gynecologist and come to a diagonosis. Whatever the issue we can surely help you out. So don't delay amen. See a good doctor.
