I don't feel energetic throughout the day. I sleep for 12-13 hours unintentionally. Though I do not do any physical activity then also. I do not feel like doing anything physically neither I want to study n like to socialize. I was not like dis before but I realy want to change now but I do not hav any motivation to do anything, whether its career wise or personal life or relationship wid family or friends. I know its not good but I dnt feel like to change anything. Please help me.

I think that you have depression and there are some major ramifications to take into account. I believe there may be some genetic predisposition or there has been some childhood issue, related to anger, that needs urgent attention. You must go and meet with a counselor immediately and if that person advises that you meet with a doctor you must do so and cooperate to your utmost. Please visit these professionals along with your parents. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least, 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive every day and learn to be contented with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.

Hi. Both surgeries have got same aim ,i e, removal of appendix. In conventional surgery there is a incision of roughy 6 cm on right side of abdomen. Recovery occurs in around 2 wks. In laparoscopic appendicectomy there are 3 small incision of 1 cm, 5 mm & 5 mm. Recovery is early. Pain is less. You can choose any1. Complications can occur with both the methods.

Before going for a diet Plan ask your doctor about the medications and how to adjust if you change your diet. Instead of a strict diet plan why not voluntarily reduce the amount of food you eat in small bits so that you will not face hypoglycaemia (low glucose levels ). The general rules of diabetic diet is still important. What is important is increase your activity level slowly and studily along with diet. It takes time, so be patient and reduce weight within your comfort level under the guidance of your doctor.

Masturbation is regarded as a normal, healthy sexual activity. In general, the medical community considers masturbation to be a natural and harmless expression of sexuality for both men and women. It does not cause any physical injury or harm to the body, and can be performed in moderation throughout a person's lifetime as a part of normal sexual behavior. It will not affect you or your ability to have children in the future. If you wish to reduce the frequency of masturbation: It originates from brain, due to thinking about sex. Hence: ·     Do not watch adult material. ·     Concentrate more on your studies or work. ·     Exercise regularly.

Diabetes is a progressive disease where there is early aging of certain organs like kidney brain heart eyes etc as they affected by the increased sugar levels early, and by preferentially. Even if the sugars are controlled well the disease in kidney can't be reversed though progress of disease can be delayed. Infections in kidney or for that matter the urinary tract has to be dealt with immediately. Follow up of creatinine and urea every month is ok. Kidney protective drugs should be used. BP medications has to be reviewed.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Glucometers are well calibrated, hene show correct glucose values. If one does not believe, then get the venous blood checked in a lab. Most of the diabetes patients on Insulin and mny on oral drugs do their glucose level checking at home on glucometers, what is called Self Monitoring of Blood Glucose (SMBG). Thanks.

1.You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2.You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4.Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5.Take light dinner. 6.Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. 7.Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Hello lybrate-user, if you want to live fit, you have to improve your immunity. Ayurveda can help to you live fit and healthy. Allergy is a disorder in which the body becomes hypersensitive to particular antigens which provokes characteristic symptoms whenever they are subsequently encounter, whether inhaled, ingested, infected or otherwise contacted. Normally antibodies in the blood stream and tissues react with and destroy specific antigen without further trouble. Different allergies afflict different tissues and may have either local or general effects. When a person's routine life is disturbed, he gets disturbed and agitated and functioning of endocrine glands gets adversely affected which ultimately causes, at time allergic reaction/metabolic changes. You should avoid Urad, banana, oil fried food spices. Saline water gargle should be done before meals. Non-irritating and bland diet, hot water, lemon,green and leafy vegetables particularly having sour and bitter taste. You can also doing this at home: 6-7 basil leaves 5-6 cloves (powder) 2-3 black piper 1/4 teaspoon ginger paste all this add in 150 ml of water then boiling mild flame and reduce to 100 ml. Later filtered and allowed to warm o it's own. Then add 2 teaspoon of honey and drink .it gives you relieved. Hot water steam will also facilitate draining from the nose and also provide relief in pain over forehead. For further treatment you take an online appointment for further details and treatment to get relief permanent.

There are drugs available that appear to alleviate some of the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease in some people. Whether you are someone with dementia or a carer, a diagnosis can help you to prepare and plan for the future.
Every person experiences dementia in their own individual way, but there is usually a decline in memory, reasoning and communication skills and a gradual loss of the skills needed to carry out daily activities.If you are feeling confused, agitated or forgetful, you should see your GP. If you are close to someone who is showing these symptoms, you could suggest that you accompany them on their first visit.

Becoming forgetful does not necessarily mean that you have dementia. Memory loss can be an effect of ageing. It can also be a symptom of stress or depression. In rare cases, dementia-like symptoms can be caused by vitamin deficiencies and/or a brain tumour.
The GP is the first person to consult. The GP may then refer the person being diagnosed to a specialist consultant. Assessments can include conversations with the person being diagnosed and those close to them, a physical examination, memory tests and/or brain scans.

I have decided to eat only banana for a month. Now am on my 8 days of eating banana only. I am taking 1 kg in breakfast, 1 kg in lunch and 1/2 kg in dinner time with 300gm curd. Dear lybrate user, -To keep fit you have to consume foods from all food groups that is carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals & water -eating only bananas will provide carbohydrates,fibre & some vitamins, if the body does not get the other essential foods then it can lead to deficiency state & deficiency disorders -have other fruits & vegetables & wholegrains, also include low fat dairy products, nuts -consult a dietician for proper diet as per your activity level, eating habits, your favourite foods, all this in a balanced way to avoid any health problems in future.
