Do contrast bath therapy Take hot water in a bowl & cold in another bowl. First immerse hand upto wrist in hot water for 3min then immediately in cold water for 1min, keep repearing fir 20min, twice daily While your hand is in water keep moving wrist actively Apply pain relieving gel & wrap vrepe bandage Avoid lifting heavy weights & do not overexert

Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg apply hot fomentation twice daily. Up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Hello- Knee pain and sound / crepts from knee suggest of inadequate quantity of synovial fluid in knee joint. Follow these tips- 1. Maintain healthy weight: 2. Cold and heat therapy: Acute pain in the knee can be relieved with cold therapy. Applying ice to the affected area not only reduced pain but also minimises swelling. For chronic pain, heat therapy would work better and help ease stiffness. But you need to discuss the frequency and intensity of these therapies with your doctor or physiotherapist. 3. Herbal knee protecting supplements: (Ostolief nutra) 4. Exercise: Strengthening exercises work on the stability function of your knee by making your knee muscles stronger. The best knee strengthening would be walking or jogging. 5. Maintain a good posture: 6. Try physiotherapy: 7. Diet: ‘A​s far as diet is concerned better to have high protein diet then having carbohydrates or fat proper maintenance of weight is key for avoiding knee pain.

I have arm pain in three month I am use many pain killer but not work when it's move I feel pain.
Pain in the arm can result from a number of factors. Abnormalities or injury of the skin, nerves, bones, joints, blood vessels, and soft tissues of the arm can all result in pain. Arm pain may be the result of referred pain from another part of the body. Please go to a physiotherapist to assess and treat the underlying condition. If pain is caused by an activity, modify or stop the activity. Rest the arm and resume activity gradually. Monitor the response to the activity. Pain experienced in the right arm is usually not serious, but when it is coupled with other symptoms like pain in the leg or tightness of the chest, it may be more serious. Try some home remedies: ice will reduce pain and swelling. Apply ice or cold packs immediately to prevent or minimize swelling. Apply the ice or cold pack for 10 to 20 minutes, 3 or more times a day. Elevate the painful area on pillows while applying ice and anytime you are sitting or lying down. Try to keep the area at or above the level of your heart to help minimize swelling. Apply heat and begin gentle exercise with the aid of moist heat to help restore and maintain flexibility. Some experts recommend alternating between heat and cold treatments. Gently massage or rub the area to relieve pain and encourage blood flow. Do not massage the area if it causes pain. Do not smoke or use other tobacco products. Smoking slows healing because it decreases blood supply and delays tissue repair. Please consult a physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your arm pain. Best wishes.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Hi! today morning I hav cut myself with a iron rod. It was not rusted & my cut is not too serious enough. Should I go for a tetanus injection?

An anti-tetanus serum is not required in routine injuries. It is only recommended in an intensively crushed and dirty wound, in which case it is given within the first six hours after the injury. A routine tetanus toxoid is also not necessary if one is previously fully immunised. In case one is not, then the toxoid is administered within the first 24 hours after the injury.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1. Ruta 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week. 2. Rhus tox 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update. Keep a gap of 15 - 20 minutes in both the medicines. *take rest or move about once in 1-2 hours in case of working in a constant position. *maintain a good posture while reading or working with computers. *take a high fibre content diet like vegetables, fruits, etc.
