Hello Doctor, I am 44 years old female. I have pain, weakness, weight lost, chest tightness, heart palpitation, chest...
No, these are not symptoms of perimenopause stage. I advise you to take proper balanced vegetarian diet. Take fruits and vegetables in daily diet. Take 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. Avoid garlic and red chilly at home and avoid non veg and eggs. Do meditation for mental strength daily. Follow this and give feedback.

New technique for Cesarean Section reduces complications: Non formation of bladder flap: Creation of the bladder flap, i.e., dissecting the urinary bladder from the lower segment of the uterus is a standard part of CS. However, it is yet to be established whether the formation of bladder flap is advantageous. If direct uterine incision is made, the loose connective tissue between the uterus and the urinary bladder allows the spontaneous descent of the bladder. During this process, no vascular injury occurs.

Hi I am a 28 year old married male. I would like to know the ways in which my wife will not conceive other than using condom or ipill. The way should not create a hindrance when we will be planning for child after a year or so. So just want to know other ways of family planning than using condom or ipill. Thank you

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Greater Noida
Dear there are three known ways - condom, I pills and copper t. We can suggest fourth option with wonderful result and free of cost that is" good faith in partner - don't leave serum inside. You are safe as long as you do not want baby. Human life is beautiful and by virtue one of the most intelligent and important - enjoy it before baby and after baby also. All the very best. If you have any other doubt, may seek question in private.

When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement
My purpose is to. Today;

Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn, pass all your tests, problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lesson you learn will last a life time.

At the end of day lie in your bed and ask yourself "how was your day?"

PCOS

PCOS

PCOS Treatment?

Treatment for PCOS is not curative. Treatment focuses on controlling symptoms and managing the condition to prevent complications. The treatment will vary from woman to woman, depending on specific symptoms.

A healthy diet and regular exercise are recommended for all women with PCOS, particularly those who are overweight. This can help to regulate your menstrual cycle and lower your blood glucose levels.

Women who don't want to become pregnant may be prescribed birth control pills. These can help treat acne, regulate the menstrual cycle, and lower levels of male hormones, such as testosterone, in the body. If a woman with PCOS is suffering from infertility, fertility drugs may be administered for helping her to ovulate.

Anti-androgens are drugs that reduce male hormone levels. These can help stop excess hair growth and reduce acne. Diabetes medications may also be prescribed to lower blood glucose and testosterone levels.

Surgery may be recommended for some women with PCOS. Ovarian drilling is a procedure in which the doctor punctures patient's ovary with a small needle that carries an electric current, in order to destroy part of the ovary. This is a short-term solution that can promote ovulation and reduce male hormone levels.

Potential Complications of PCOS?

Women with PCOS have a higher risk of developing:

  • hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • high cholesterol
  • anxiety and depression
  • sleep apnea (when a person stops breathing periodically during sleep)
  • endometrial cancer (cancer caused by thickening of the lining of the uterus)
  • heart attack
  • diabetes
  • breast cancer

If you become pregnant, your doctor may refer you to a doctor who specializes in high-risk pregnancies. Women with PCOS have a higher rate of miscarriage, gestational diabetes, and premature delivery. They may also require extra monitoring during pregnancy.

The earlier the PCOS is diagnosed and treated, the lower is the risk of developing these complications. Avoidance of tobacco products and participating in regular exercise can also reduce the risk of some of these co-morbidities. The patients must talk to the Gynae about what PCOS means for your overall health and how you can prevent serious complications.

Hi, my wife is 38 years old and have two daughters (11 4 old F/M child). She is having pain in breast nipple point. After consulting the doctor she is taking B-LONG Tab 1 per day. She is thinking that have breast cancer. Can you please advice?

MS - General Surgery
General Surgeon, Pune
Most common symptom of breat cancer is lump in the breast or the abnormal nipple discharge. The suspicion is high if the discharge is reddish. In those cases sometimes even mass is not felt but still the possibility of the breast cancer is very high. Breast cancer pain appears generally at late stages. The usual cause of nipple pain is small crack in the region which can be treated quite easily. Please consult a surgeon nearby who after examination will answer your questions and take out your fear.

Usually Infertility treatments do not stop at just giving tablets, if patient does not conceive in a reasonable amount of time say 3-6 months then, tests are done to ascertain normalcy of ovulation, fallopian tubes and sperm count. In fact even if all of these tests are normal, the treatments are kept continuous, with occasional breaks every 3-6 months. So, seek a good infertility specialist and get their expert opinion and adhere to the treatments done. You WILL conceive with due efforts in the right direction.
