Hi doctor, My baby girl is now 13 months old. Her birth weight is 2.8 kgs. Now her weight is just 8.9 kgs. Is this enough or what should I do for her weight gain? She shows very less interest in eating. She often falls sick for cold cough & fever. Please suggest what should I do?

Antibiotics are to be given after proper diagnosis. They are not the drugs for all types of diarrheas. Different etiologies need different treatment. I typically use zinc and ors in appropriate doses unless cause is found out.

If seizures have come with fever .then no more medics are required on continue basis .I would insist that you just meet pediatric neurologist as 2 drugs to control seizures are bit unjustified.

My baby is 7 month old, except breastfeeding he does not take any other milk and even do not take bottle. How I can help him to take formula milk through bottle.

It is not a great idea to shift to bottled formula milk after 6 months of breast feeds. Please continue breast feeding and start the baby with some home foods such a dal soup, fruit juice, mashed rice, banana, suji kheer, dalia etc. This will reduce the demand for breast feeds, however it is best not to give bottle feeds to a baby.

Many children have such problem especially to avoid schools. You csn get an ultrasound of abdomen done. If it's normal you can ignore it. Give for worms.

Hello visitor, let your son to immunised naturally so that you can find more potential power inside his body. Due to low immune response a child gets infections even if climate change. So need not to be worried about your 9 month old son. Some natural herbal products of holistic approach will make him okay. Feel free to contact me privately I can suggest more in this case.

Know How Homeopathy Helps To Treat Cold And Cough!

Know How Homeopathy Helps To Treat Cold And Cough!

Common cold and cough is one of the most common viral illnesses that have no specific treatment. Allopathic medicines provide palliative cure to just treat the symptoms, there is no definite antiviral for it. There is also popular belief having cold once or twice a year is a good way to cleanse the body.

Here is the homeopathic treatment for it:

  1. Influenzinum - It is a homeopathic remedy for flu. The medicine, which is diluted and potentized, strengthens the immune system to fight against flu viruses. It does not suppress the symptoms but makes your immune system strong to not allow foreign viruses affect your health.
  2. Aconitum or aconite - Used in the early stages of a cold that was sudden in onset and severe. There could be associated nasal discharge, fever and chills, chest congestion, itchy throat, and a traumatic experience. The person may also feel thirsty, anxious, and agitated.
  3. Allium cepa - Severe burning and watery eyes, nasal irritation, copious amounts of discharge, hoarseness, and headache. The runny nose improves in open air, but worsens when being indoors.
  4. Aconite - This homeopathic medicine is recommended when the most preliminary signs of common cold appear, such as getting thirsty frequently and being overly-anxious.
  5. Belladonna - Belladonna is for more severe signs of cold, such as high fever and persistence of a throbbing headache.
  6. Natrum mur - This medicine is effective for a runny nose, with initially clear snot thickening after a period of 24-48 hours.
  7. Pulsatilla - Yellow or greenish mucous, nasal congestion, mouth breathing are some symptoms where this is used. It is very commonly used in newborn babies, if the discharge colour is green or yellow. Associated symptoms include moodiness, easy crying, craving for attention, easily hurt and sensitive. Homeopathy does'cure' the cough and cold in patients, in the true sense of the word. That provides palliative care and holistic treatment of the condition too. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a homeopath.

Need to know her birth weight and present weight and development history. Perhaps, she is just late in development, or there may be issues which can be checked. Ask privately in this site.
