What treatment is needed for the kidney stone?

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda,
What treatment is needed for the kidney stone?
Herbal decoction and some specialised ayurveda combo for dissolving and expelling stones without need of surgery. Our group of doctors have also shortlisted a set of exclusive combo developed for our own patients. Most of the stones come out before 30 days. Little variation may be because of size and location of stone i. E. Upper or lower calyx, urethra bladder etc.

I would suggest you that you should also note that is your problem associated wd burning urine if so you might be suffering from urine infection called as uti and these problems can also occur in diabetes. Do you have a family history of diabetes other conditions may include interstitial cystitis and overactive bladder. I suggest you to get urine routine if infection comes can be treated and if doesnot come you should visit a doctor to rule out any other disease.

Hello and welcome to lybrate. A stone size of 4-5 mm, usually flushes out in almost 90 per cent people, provided, one drinks 12-15 glasses daily. It also depends on position of stone in kidney. Get your ultrasound scan repeated in 1 month, to confirm the stone is out. Wish you a speedy recovery.

Hello there, hypertension is broadly divided into primary and secondary types, where the former variety is of more in incidence almost 90-95 %. However you were asked to get those tests done so that secondary hypertension can ruled out. Primary htn is caused by factors such as genetic and lifestyle factors and etc basically its not due to any other disease. Hope this helps. Keep on taking meds and proper diet and other changes would surely help.

I have delivered baby girl on 3rd October premature at 32 week 2 days weight 1.5 kg. The baby had sepsis and suddenly her kidney parameters are as below Protein urine random: 70.59 mg/dl creatinine Urine: 5.71 mg/dl Protein creatinine ration: 12362 mg/g Please suggest what are the long term impact on her kidneys. Her KFT test is within normal range.

MBBS, Basic Life Support (B.L.S), Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Fellow of Academy of General Education (FAGE)
General Physician, Bangalore
I would first like to reassure you that there will be no long term side effects on the kidney. sepsis can cause shock like effects on the kidney thus elevating kidney parameters. but this is temporary. . however, baby kidneys are strong and regenerate better than adult kidneys. as the child grows, the kidneys will repair themselves.

I frequently drink water and do urine can it be the symptoms of diabetes and should I do to avoid diabetes if so.

I frequently drink water and do urine can it be the symptoms of diabetes and should I do to avoid diabetes if so.
You don't need to worry about the diabetes unless n untill you get it confirmed. For that get an hba1c report done which will confirm your sugar status and will let you know whether you are in diabetic, pre-diabetic or non-diabetic range. You may get back once the report is done and do let me know if you have any other symptoms apart from frequency of urine and thirst. Thanks.

May not be as long as he stopped consuming iron. Iron toxicity is more of acute in nature and he must have just scrapped through. He must have been some 50 kg or more. Please check serum iron.

I am having pea size lump in the anus area. I feel it during stool discharge. I don't feel pain it is there for a long time. I have consulted doctor he told me it it is prolapses. Will it effect me or I will face any problem in future.

It may not be significant. However, it can aggravate if precautions are not taken. Constipation and long period of sitting on commode and straining at stools tend to aggravate prolapse. Avoid these things. Take high fibre diet with lot of vegetables & fruits & lot of fluids without chillies & spices.

I have stone in kidney 3 mm size. Is it curable by medicine. What medicine or caution I have to take.
Hi. Prevention of kidney stones may include a combination of lifestyle changes and medications. Lifestyle changes You may reduce your risk of kidney stones if you: Drink water throughout the day. For people with a history of kidney stones, drink 12-14 glasses of water everyday. If you live in a hot, dry climate or you exercise frequently, you may need to drink even more water to produce enough urine. If your urine is light and clear, you're likely drinking enough water. Eat fewer oxalate-rich foods. If you tend to form calcium oxalate stones, your doctor may recommend restricting foods rich in oxalates. These include rhubarb, beets, okra, spinach, Swiss chard, sweet potatoes, nuts, tea, chocolate and soy products. Choose a diet low in salt and animal protein. Reduce the amount of salt you eat and choose non animal protein sources, such as legumes. Consider using a salt substitute. Continue eating calcium-rich foods, but use caution with calcium supplements. Calcium in food doesn't have an effect on your risk of kidney stones. Continue eating calcium-rich foods unless your doctor advises otherwise. Ask your doctor before taking calcium supplements, as these have been linked to increased risk of kidney stones. You may reduce the risk by taking supplements with meals. Diets low in calcium can increase kidney stone formation in some people. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Berberis Vulgaris Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice daily for 4 weeks. Revert me back.
