The solution for this problem is its reduced usage and while using computor/ TV use in proper light. There is nothing more effective than controlling usage to reduce and negate the effects. You can also reduce the intensity of the computor /TV screen by attaching a filter or by getting an eye-friendly screen. Above all, one must try to reduce the amount of computor usage or take frequent breaks. Homoeopathic medicine CINELUBE EYE DROPS ( HAPDCO) Pour 2 drops 3 times daily.

Diabetes predisposes the eye to a number of diseases like diabetic retinpathy- affects your retina or back of the eye. Cataract or safed motiabin - opacity in your natural lens of eye. Glaucoma or kala motia - permanent irreversible damage to nerve of your eye and if uncontrolled sugar- also to eye infections. It is recommended by indian medical and ophthalmological councils to undergo routine dilated comprhensive eye evaluation at regular intervals. Depending on you systemic control and history it may be once in 6 months to once in 2 years.

I have red eye problem in one eye and in particular portion. It occur in regular interval for last two three years.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
I have red eye problem in one eye and in particular portion. It occur in regular interval for last two three years.
Eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye (sclera) become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: • Eye dryness • Too much sun exposure • Dust or other particles in the eye • Allergies • Infection • Injury Eye infections or inflammation can cause redness as well as possible itching, discharge, pain, or vision problems. These may be due to: • Blepharitis: Swelling along the edge of the eyelid. • Conjunctivitis: Swelling or infection of the clear tissue that lines the eyelids and covers the surface of the eye (the conjunctiva). This is often referred to as "pink eye." • Corneal ulcers: Sores on the cornea most often caused by a serious bacterial or viral infection. • Uveitis: Inflammation of the uvea, which includes the iris, ciliary body, and choroid. The cause is most often not known. It may be related to an autoimmune disorder, infection, or exposure to toxins. The type of uveitis that causes the worst red eye is called iritis, in which only the iris is inflamed. Other potential causes of eye redness include: • Colds or allergies . • Acute glaucoma: A sudden increase in eye pressure that is extremely painful and causes serious visual problems. This is a medical emergency. The more common form of glaucoma is chronic and gradual. • Corneal scratches: Injuries caused by sand, dust, or overuse of contact lenses. Sometimes, a bright red spot, called a subconjunctival hemorrhage, will appear on the white of the eye. This often happens after straining or coughing, which causes a broken blood vessel on the surface of the eye. Most often, there is no pain and your vision is normal. It is almost never a serious problem. Because the blood leaks into the conjunctiva, which is clear, you cannot wipe or rinse the blood away. Like a bruise, the red spot will go away within a week or two. So,visit a local eyespecialist. The diagnosis of your problem in eyes can only be made by local examination of eyes

My father has retinitis pigmentosa. And I read that it is hereditary. How do I know that I have it or not? I want to know how should I avoid it or take precautions. Please help me I am worried.

Retinitis pigementosa is hereditary but doesnot necessarily affect all children or all family members. Till now, despite various claims, there is no therapy proven in clinical trials that can prevent or treat RP. For diagnosis, usually a dilated retina examination suffices. In some cases, advanced tests like OCT or electrophysiological tests may be need to diagnose the condition and monitor its progression and prognosticate it. Would suggest you go for a eye examination to a retina specialist and also genetic counselling (the retina specialist will guide you to one) especially important before getting married or planning a baby.

I have a black flat mole under my left eye since childhood that I wish could disappear. The mole is at distance of 5-6 mm below the eye. Please suggest a safe medicine and how to apply it without any harm to the eye. Thanks and regard.

Applying apple cider vinegar soaked cotton balls is of the effective home made remedies for removing warts or moles. Other remedies include iodine, aloe vera cream etc. But it is better to consult a dermatologist for the same just to make sure that the lesion you are dealing with is mole itself and not any other lesion. Also it would be lot safer and effective if done under a supervision of a specialist.
