Hello Sir, I have immunity problem, always sneezing and nose snivelling every time. What to do?

1. Do steam inhalation with karvol plus inhalant capsule 2-3 times daily 2. Put otrivin nasal drop one drop three times daily 3. Take one tablet oflevo cetrizine at bed time 4. If you have recurrent attack of sneezing, you may be having sinusitis or allergic rhinitis 5. Take x ray/ct scan of pns to confirm sinusitis and consult ent specialist for advice and treatment 6. If sinusitis is excluded, then it is due to allergic rhinitis, do an allergy test after consulting allergy specialist/immunologist to find out the cause of allergy and follow the treatment and advice accordingly.

Not able to smell is known as anosmia. Which is caused by many problems like any structural defects in your nose, atrophic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis etc. Please visit an ent surgeon.

Hello sir, I am 24 year old and live in mumbai. My question is how to stop snoring. I think as per my age I have louder sound snore comes at sleeping. please help me.

Hi, please follow these tips to stop snoring: - reduce your weight if you are obese. - perform pranayama (breathing exercises) everyday. - quit smoking which irritates the mucosal layer of the nose and throat and causes blockage and results in snoring. - quit alcohol and sedatives which relax the throat muscles and results in snoring. - sleep on sides instead on back. - elevate the head by using a thick pillow which eases the breathing. - clear the nose before going to bed. - establish regular sleep pattern. - keep the bedroom air moist by using humidifier; as dry air irritates the mucosal membrane in the nose and throat. - perform throat exercises like repeating the vowels a, e, i, o, you loudly for 2-3 mins few times a day or keeping the tongue behind the teeth and moving it backwards - 3-4 times a day. - anti snoring appliances can also be used.

Hi I am having trouble with gaining weights since I was 16. So I started gym in 16 and do it about 4years not regular. But my weight never go above 57. I tried alot eat alot. I take whey protien supplement two times. 1st is locally made up not original but works well without any side effect. And the second one is origin number one brand ON I get it fron new your. Works great. But not gain any thing else. I got stomach infection 2times in 2years because of eating too heavy things in one time. Sick for a weak. I quit the gym in 2016 january. Because of negativity not gaining weight. I feel to dizziness laziness not energized every time every day. Pls help me.

Hye, Thanks for the query. Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help.

My weights 83 kgs with a height of 6 feet. And I want to lose weight as according to my BMI calculation I am in overweight category now. Please suggest me how I can lose weight upto 10 kgs as early as possible. I runs daily morning for 2 kms at normal speed but then after doing that I remained tired and feel dizziness for whole of the day and it affects my study a lot. Hye, thanks for the query. Firstly it is important to understand that weight /fat loss involves sensible eating. Just running as exercise without concentrating on eating right as per your body's needs is not going to help. You must know that losing weight is not about restriction or crashing your diet but about eating as per the body's needs. So, manage a nutritious diet fist so that you have the stamina to workout right. You have to eat the right foods at the right time. Eat small but frequent meals. Reduce your main meals by 1/4th the amount. Take a glass of lime water 10 minutes before meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips.

Ear pain or otalgia can be a symptom of ear wax or otitis externa/media or other ear conditions, its better to consult a nearby ent specialist for otoscopic examination leading to accurate diagnosis and treatment.

It could be due to wax in ear or ear infection 2. Take one tablet of crocin advance sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets per day for pain relief 3. Get your ear checked by ent specialist and follow the advice and treatment.

Hi doc, My mother is 63 years old. She has sugar and BP issue and tk meds daily for them. She face cervical issue once almost an year back. From last 1 month she is facing vertigo kind of issue like getting unbalance, few like can't walk n suddenly gets slow and fear of being faint. She is also complaint of slight pain in hands n legs. Causes of vertigo are many. They may be central or peripheral in origin. Cervical issue and uncontrolled hypertension may also cause vertigo. Cervical issue may also cause pain in hands. For temporary relief take Tablet vertin 8 mg tid, n consult physician n ent surgeon.

Avoid using pillow. Start sleeping on flat surface. Start neck exercises. Start1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before going to sleep. Massage on your neck with good ayurvedic oil. Start medications for hypertension. Sarpgandha vati 1-1 tab morning and evening with warm water.
