Rosemary oil: another oil which doubles as a fragrant oil and an essential oil, this one is derived from the rosemary plant. It is very useful for dandruff problems and a flaky, itchy scalp. Rosemary oil stimulates the hair follicles; as a result, hair can grow longer and stronger.

I m suffering from back pain from last past years. please suggest me some kind of therapy?
Hi. Backpain is a common problem. It is mainly due to bad posture and activities like bad reading position, bad chairs n bad bed etc. Stand n walk upright without stooping. Sit in a proper chair. Take 5-10 min breaks every 2 hrs. Sleep on a flat bed. Do exercise daily. While sleeping keep a rolled towel under your knees. Back pain gets relieved by lifestyle modifications. Do back strengthening exercises. Thank you.

First, you have to understand that men have a refractory period. This is the time following an orgasm during which a man cannot get another erection. The refractory period varies widely between different men. Some may be able to achieve erection again just a few minutes after orgasm, while others may need hours. The more often you are having sex, the longer your refractory period is likely to be.  perhaps trying hard to get an erection, you are becoming tense and stressed about the matter. Of course, stress is not conducive to getting and keeping a good, hard erection, so it is not surprising that even if you do get erect again, you lose the erection in a few minutes. After your fist orgasm, just relax. Embrace your wife, play with each other, but don't try to force yourself to get another erection right away. If you are still sexually excited and filled with desire for your wife, your penis will get hard again all by itself, when your body is good and ready to have sex for a second time. I am sure your erection will be strong and will last long.

Hi, i am very thin and eating a lot but I can't gain my weight what can I do?

DUSM
Unani,
Hi, i am very thin and eating a lot but I can't gain my weight what can I do?
You have mentioned that you eat too much of food but still skinny eating too much of food does not help to gain weight you should eat food rich in protein and calories. The right combination of healthy food, exercise, right breathing rest and sleep, go a long way in a happier. Focus on eating each meal containing a protein then do regular exercise. Follow it up with a heavy and healthy breakfast. Take moderate lunch and dinner. Add Banana, Milk, Eggs, including yellow yolk, Mango, rice gram, peanut, butter are helpful in gaining weight. Potatoes, bananas are a great choice because they?re high in protein and calories. Dried Fruit:Dried fruit is a rich source of fiber. Moreover, it has a high content value of vitamins and minerals which are necessary for overall health

I am 40 years old male, I am suffering from neck ache on on side along with lower back ache in the waist.
Hi, thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. You have persistent back and neck pains. If you have localized neck and back pain with no other symptoms like radiating upper limb pain and leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc and with no other associated constitutional symptoms like evening rise in temperature, loss of weight, excessive sweating at night etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back and neck while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and neck region and few blood tests for evaluation. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

How to lose weight without avoid junk food?
Because I am staying in pg and that's why I have to intake junk food. So ...
Don’t worry. You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. As soon as you start seeing the results, you will be surprised as well as motivated to go beyond your weight loss and adopt and a lifelong healthy attitude. For a start please follow: 1. Watch what you eat – Are you eating too much junk, drink excessive alcohol and eating too much white food and sugar? Please cut it down to as low as you can from tomorrow. Cut down tea/coffee if you are too addicted to it. It is creating havoc inside your body. 2. Lifestyle – Are you a late sleeper and late riser? You can’t imagine what this schedule of yours is doing to your metabolism. It is degrading your digestive system from inside and your looks from outside. 3. Physically active – If you are a couch potato who loves to watch tv whole day then throw that couch of yours in the street and get yourself a treadmill tomorrow. Yes it is as simple as that. Who is stopping you? You have to be physically active all day long if you want to burn those extra calories. Do daily brisk walk, Pranayam, atleast 20 surayanamaskar everyday to start seeing the results. Take break between office work to walk a little or rather just climb some stairs to get that food you ate in lunch have space and heat to digest and absorb. What’s the harm in using your washroom to do a little middle of the day squats. Do that – No one is watching you. The key is to stay physically active all day long, no matter what. 4. Eat healthy and eat on time: Not only eating healthy is important but eating at right time is equally imp too. Have an early breakfast and early dinner and have 4 small meals between breakfast and dinner. To guide you a bit, here you go: A. Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B. At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea c. Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D. Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E. Between 4 p. M – 5 p. M – Cup of Green Tea F. Evening (4-6 p. M) – Have some nice sprouts with tomatoes and cucumber. G. Dinner (2 hours before sleeping, preferably before 9 p. M) – Paneer & veggies salad with olive oil, Roti or brown rice with Daal. H. Have a glass of warm milk. Weight loss is 80% about what you eat and 20% about exercises. That said, both the things go hand in hand. If you want to lose weight in a more healthy way than be patient and just follow the regimen everyday. Slow and steady wins the race.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath,
My father is a heart attack patient so what diet should he follow ?
following diet guidelines will help you Cut down salt (common table salt) intake in your diet to avoid hypertension. Intake should not exceed more then 2 to 2.5 gm a day. ? Avoid foods rich in cholesterol: ground nut oil, ghee, butter, whole milk, eggs, lard (fats derived from pig meat), tallow (fats derived from goat or sheep mutton), oily fish, meats and red meat ? all non-vegetarian food contain cholesterol in varied amount. ? Avoid non-vegetarian food especially red meat. ? Increase intake of foods that contain PUFA`s (poly unsaturated fatty acids): flax / linseed oil is the richest source of PUFA`s. Other oils that contain PUFA`s are safflower oil, soybean oil, sesame oil, mustard oil and olive oil. As all oils are high in fats, its consumption should be limited. The intake of oils should not exceed 20gms a day. ? Sesame oil and almond oil hinders the absorption of LDL (low-density lipoproteins), so it is advisable to use / replace other cooking oils by sesame oil. ? Increase your intake of water. ? Take high fiber diet - whole grains, bran, oat, green leafy vegetables, peas, beans, potatoes, raw vegetables, salads, dried fruits and fresh fruits. ? Cut down the intake of sugar and other sweeteners. ? Avoid fat-rich portions of flesh foods. Instead have lean meat. ? Avoid fat-rich desserts and fried snacks like cakes, pastries, puddings etc ?
