Must have established Osteoarthritis. Should get proper x rays and depending on the stage, either injection or surgery.

I think a clinical review is very important. For the knee there are other procedures also then replacement. Need to see the patient to give fruitful advice.

May be suffering from deep vein thrombosis. Don't delay, get a quick review with an Ortho surgeon and may be with a vascular surgeon.

24 year is not barred from developing early osteoarthritis. It may be just chondromalacia patellae, or arthritis. Pls be consulted properly for a better life and future.
