I am having ringworm/Tinea corporis in my underlegs,
Its in circle and some time it automatically dry randomly again ...
Fungus may be Candida albicans or dermatophytes or both. Moreover when fungus is in vagina or vulva or on glans & prepuce, you may also have trichinosis as well as infection with several low virulent bacteria like Ureaplasma urealyticum. Fungus is a plant and grows rapidly in hor humid environment. So it is more in raining season. If sweating occurs frequently, it again rapidly grows. If he has wetness in prepuce or she has wetness in her vagina due to overstimulation or due to any reason, again it grows rapidly and difficult to eradicate. Fungus produces lacs of spores when you try to eradicate it and no medicine can kill spores. We can kill only baby filaments coming out of spores. For that we have to give antifungal on and off for long times so all the filaments coming out of spores get killed and no intact spore remains there. Itching is due to allergic response to fungal filaments and spores. Spores cannot be killed but can be washed off with soap & water washing. Now how to eradicate it? Wash the infected parts & private parts 2-3 times daily with mild soap or with Cetrim soap. Better take bath at least 2 times daily Dry the infected & private parts in fan's wind (or hot blowers wind in cold climate) before wearing clothes. Buy a small table fan dry parts with that. Keep 2 small towels (soft ones, better parts of old sootee dhoti but well cleaned) with you always. Whenever you get sweating over your private parts, take one towel, wet it with water and swipe on your private parts. Afterthat use another dry towel, and scrub the parts. Then dry the parts in fan's wind or by blowing wind with some thin copy or newspaper or old manual fan. To keep parts dry is very essential Wear only loose aerated thin cotton clothes. Use Clotrimazole+Betamethasone cream like Candid-B 2-3 times daily after washing and drying the parts. DK gel contains Micanazole which is not as effective as Clotrimazole. Use Candid Vaginal tablets to insert in vagina in case female. In outer parts of vagina (vulva), use Candid-B cream. Also use Candid-B cream on penis during intercourse. Take Fluconazole 150 mg once daily for 3 days and then once weekly (better on every Sunday) for 5-6 months Take Vitamin A preparation like Aquasol (25000 iu) once daily for 7 days followed by Becadexamin once daily for 2-3 months. Vitamin A is very essential. It causes rapid growth of epidermal layers of skin creating new skin underneath so that fungal infected superficial layers get shed off rapidly and fungal eradication occurs very fast For viginal and penile infection, better use Nuforce 3Kit containing Fluconazole 150 mg ?(for Fungus), Azithromycin 1gm (for Ureaplasma uralyticum) and Ornidazole 2gm (for Trichinsis), one kit every Sunday for 2-3 weeks. Give Kit to both the partner simultaneously. You may also use Fluconazole shampoo and Selsun shampoo along with above treatment if you have dandruff or fungal infection on whole body.

Gall Bladder Stones and Benefits Of Its Surgery

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, FIAGES(Fellowship In Minimal Access Surgery), FMAS (Fellowship In Minimal Access Surgery)
General Surgeon, Ghaziabad
Gall Bladder Stones and Benefits Of Its Surgery

The gallbladder is a small organ found beneath the right side of the liver and it works by collecting and concentrating BILE, a digestive fluid produced by the liver. The bile helps in digesting fats in the small intestine.

Gallbladder problems are usually caused due to the presence of gallstones in the gall bladder. These are small and hard stones made up of cholesterol and bile salts. You are more prone to get gallstones if you are-

  • Female
  • Over 40
  • Are pregnant
  • Have a family history of gallstones

The gallbladder is not an essential organ, and its removal is one of the most common surgical procedures performed on patients today. This is a low risk surgery and can even be performed on pregnant women.
In short, the primary advantages of surgically removing the gallbladder over nonsurgical treatment are that it can rule out gallstones and prevent gallbladder cancer in the future. And the removal of this organ is not associated with any impairment of digestion in people.

Benefits of Gallstone surgery
There are no known means through which you can prevent gallstones. And once you get gallstones, you will suffer from:

  1. Sharp abdominal pain
  2. Vomiting
  3. Indigestion
  4. Fever

These symptoms present themselves as the gallstones block the flow of bile out of the gallbladder, causing it to swell. You may also become more prone to jaundice.

Disadvantages of non-surgical treatments-
Non-surgical treatments are available for gallstones, but these are temporary. They include dietary adjustments and reduction of fat intake.
These treatments have a low success rate and symptoms usually continue unless the gallbladder is removed. Hence, surgical removal of the gallbladder is the time-honoured and safest treatment of gallbladder disease.

Types of Gallstone surgery

  • Open procedures- Until the early 1990s, gallstone removal was done through open cholecystectomy, in which the gallbladder was removed through a wide incision in the abdomen.
  • Nowadays, laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the standard procedure. In this, small incisions are made to remove the gall bladder.
  • This type of surgery is done in patients who have inflammation in the gallbladder, but they have no gallstones. It is also being done in those who have gallstones, but no symptoms.Laparoscopy has replaced open cholecystectomy as it offers some significant advantages: shhort down time- You can leave the hospital and resume normal life much earlier, compared to open surgery.
    • Smaller incisions and less postoperative pain and disability.
    • Fewer complications.
    • Less expensive in the long term.

However, a few experts believe that the open procedure has a number of advantages over laparoscopy, like:

  • Faster to perform.
  • Less of a risk for bile duct injury compared with laparoscopy.

But all said and done, open surgery has more overall complications than laparoscopy. Another point to note, is that bile-duct injury rates with laparoscopy are declining steeply.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Mix castor oil and a little amount of baking soda until you make a paste. Place the paste on the surface of the mole. Leave the paste on the mole for a few hours. The paste will dry after a few hours. This can be done about twice every day.

You just need to mix apple cider vinegar with honey, and then apply it to your scars by using a cotton ball. Let it rest for 10 minutes and then wash off. Repeat this remedy 2-3 times a day.

Bedtime Skin Regimen - 3 Things You Must Follow!

Skin repairs and rebuilds itself at night time while you rest, so it makes sense to follow good skin care routine before going to bed every night. 3 most effective bedtime skin care tips that rejuvenate your skin.

  1. Cleanse and moisturize your skin: Your skin is exposed to kinds of pollutants, allergens, makeup during daytime. So cleanse your skin properly. Then apply vitamin E based moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated.
  2. Use clean pillowcase: Many pathogens and oil may reintroduce to your skin if you use unwashed pillowcase. Thus, make it a habit to use a clean pillowcase, preferably made of silk fiber, which keeps you away from the risks of pimples and other skin infections.
  3. Don't sleep with your phone: Your phone collects many bacteria and other microbes during daytime. Thus it is better to keep your phone away while sleeping to avoid any counter infections. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist.

To stimulate endothelial growth factor production for follicle and hair growth, you can use 0.5 to 1.5 mm rollers. You can use 0.5 mm once per week or once per month. On the other hand, 0.75 to 1.0 mm can be used once per month.
