Is it possible can you guide me in case she would have any negative impact on her body. Also, what diet she should follow in her initial days while in the state of recovering.

There are no noticeable or significant impact of this surgery on body. Some people develops little bloating after fatty meals, which usually subsided with time.

Treatment of rectal cancer depends on extent of involvement and whether it has grown beyond the rectum or not. But surgery remains the mainstay. In most cases it is possible to rejoin the two cut end thus a permanent colostomy can be avoided. However if disease involves lower part/ anal canal then permanent colostomy is the only option.
