Hello! I am 20 years old and my height is about 5'3" and weight is about 65 kgs. My problem is that I wakeup in the night 2 to 3 times to go for toilet. Although it doesn't happen in summer due to sweat. But in winter and monsoon it becomes really a problem. My question is that, is it normal? Or I have any issue with my kidney.

Masterbating does not increses the frequency of urination and to add to its perfectly normal to masterbate. It does not cause urinary infection or weakness. If there is no infection of urine on urine examination. Just relax.

I am a 19 year old male. For about 4-5 days now, I've been having pain around my anus. The pain began after a rather intense bowel movement. Since the pain began, sitting, shifting position in bed, and many other simple movements bring moderate pain. Pain is made worse with a bowel movement and with an erection. Pain has been made better with exercise, a hot bath, or by passing gas. I would like to know possible conditions, the severity of each, and treatment.

You might be having fissure in ano. That is condition when there is anal mucosal tear when you pass hard stools and due to spasm of anal sphincter. Take some laxative at bedtime so you pass soft stool and continue with sitz bath. If pain persists go and see your surgeon.

Can numerous fibroids and an enlarged uterus cause bladder prolapse? Why does my gynecologist think my bladder bulging into my vaginal canal is a fibroid even after I was sent to a urologist for stress incontinence issues?

MBBS, MS, DNB
Pediatrician, Delhi
Yes enlarged fibroids can cause bladder prolapse. It is more due to lax ligaments. Best way to know is get an ultrasound done and hve 2 nd opinion from other gynaecologist.

Do not worry. Give him/ her bananna's and high fiber diet. Get a x ray done to see the position of foreign body. Usually child will pass it in 2-3 days along with stool.
