I am 20 years old. I did Not do a test if thyroid but my weight is gain to much it's 60 kg and before it's 42 kg. Sweating is also there please suggest me a medicine.
In how much time did your gain 18 kg weight. It is serious, you should immediately go for thyroid test. U can do the following-- 1. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). 2. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. 3. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 4. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 5. Maintain active life style 6. Avoid fast foods n fried foods 7.Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 8. Drink lot of water Eating every 2 hours increases basal metabolic rate also. If you follow this over a period of time you will see that your intake of food has decreased Now about point no. 5. You should join a gym for weight training. Do it 2-3 times a week with at least 48 hours in between 2 sessions.

Hello. I have hypothyroid. N anemia, vitamin b12 deficiency and vomiting persistent, which I am taking thyronorm. And vitcofol injection, and for vomiting persists Dr. Give me zentel. Are zentel is work for vomiting persistent diagnosis: or there some difrent medicine-Please suggest me.
Hello, Thanks for the query. Since you have hypothyroidism, please let me know the dosage of Levothyroxine being taken and current or latest TSH level. Also please tell whether the patient is a female or male? What do you mean by "Persistent vomiting? Do you get vomiting every day? After each time some thing is eaten? Or there is no relation to food intake? Is there hyperacidity? Please clarify. Albendazole (Zentel) is given to treat worm infestation like round worm, hook worm, pin worm etc. Thanks.
Hi, I have thyroid from last 2 Year. When checked first TSH was 8.7 and doctor suggested to take Eltroxin 50 mcg. Checked yesterday now TSH level has gone to 9.8, do I have to increase the dose or continue with same 50 mcg.
Hello, Thanks for the query. WHen one is on treatment with adequate dose of Levothyroxine, TSH is maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, at that level all the symptoms of hypothyroidism are in check. Since your TSH is 9.8 mU/L, means current dosage is not enough. There has to be an increase in the dose. Thanks.

Hi, I diagnosed with thyroid just 2 weeks ago, I started thyronorm 100 on doctor's advise. I recently noticed that I'm started suffering very low urine flow problem. Not sure if it is due to the medicines. I don't have any BP and Sugar problem.

Hi, I'm taking potassium iodine tablets by IOSAT for over a week 130 mg per day dose as I have too much whiteheads and underweight. I wanted to know how long should I take because I know these tablets block iodine to enter in thyroid and stops the thyroid function. I do not want to go in that condition where problem-too little thyroid hormone and then I have to take thyroid pills fr rest of my life. I can not give any pictures or any other information just let me know the duration of taking those medicines normally.
Whiteheads, Acne or pimples. Due to hormonal changes. Oily skin causes it. Common in adolescent age. May occur in adults also. Food like Oily foods, ice cream, chocolate and sweets increase it. Treatment depends on the grade of pimples or acne. So, please send photos by direct online consultation as it's a must to see which grade of pimples or acne for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

My mom is suffering from thyroid since from past 15 years but when we did FNAC test it gave a negative result.
FNAC test is done for histological diagnosis. Of it is negative even then a person may be hypothyroid.

Why these two test are done? Thyroid profile (T3, T4,TSH) on empty stomach And FASTING BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS.
Thyroid profile is done when your doctor is suspecting any thyroid problem and blood sugar test is ususlly done to diagnose diabetes for that fasting, pp blood sugar and HbA1c tests should be done.
