Always being attacked by cold. What measures should I take? Recently my lungs bled for seven days. Etamsylate injection has to be taken almost 9 times a day Doctor says my smoking has done this. Now every bout of cold makes me frightened. Can I experience bleeding from lungs due to cold attack again? Now I have left smoking completely.

Maintain good habits, getting up early drink plenty of water (1 liter, go for a walk 4 to 6 KM, or spend for 1 hour by doing excerceises, jogging, do regguular PRANAYAMA breathing excecises for minimum of 1 month to 2 months & see how you improve your healtheath, I am suure you will get ridoff bleeding from lungs This is all after fully investigated for Heamoptisis (bleeding from lungs)

Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! It not only depends upon the amount of food you consume daily, but also about eating Sensibly, depends upon your genes, your body's proper metabolism, assimilation and absorption, the levels of stress/ tension in your life, and any underlying medical condition you have! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points (if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. Both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 3 months. Revert.

Doctor, I am a 56-year-old gentleman. I have a 4-5 year history of blood sugar and diabetic conditions. I had a heart trouble in June 2014 and had a byepass surgery in July. I am in recovery phase now. I am however suffering from sexual dysfunction, precisely (1) erectile dysfunction and (2) premature ejaculation. I am also suffering from other conditions such as loss of hair, weakening of eyesite (for reading), polyurea, weight gain, leg pain near ankle (might be due to vein transplantation during byepass surgery), etc. Is there any reliable cure for ED and PME? Is it advisable to have normal sex following byepass surgery? Please inform.

Your pme and ed is the result of diabetes and dyslipidemia. You will have this problem life long.Just like for your heart problem you can have drugs and do normal sex. There is no necessity to stop sex after heart disease or heart operation.Consult a sexual medicine doctor and get investigated. You can have sex just like any other man of your age group--but with the help of some drugs.

My Blood pressure is varying 140 -90 is it correct at my age 37. Or otherwise I have to take life long tablets?

It is correct. Donot need medicines. But of course life style modification is needed means salt restricted diet, brisk walking, fat free diet.

Greying of hair increases with nutritional deficiencies. So, make sure to have plenty of milk, milk products, fish, jaggery, spinach, lettuce, wheat, meat. Have calcium and iron supplements. You need to get evaluation for autoimmune diseases. Don't use dyes, bleaches, steam or blowdryers. Avoid spa. You can to start with use brown henna. Avoid swimming in pools. Drink milk and plenty of dairy products to replenish calcium needed for tyrosinase. Include cabbage, broccoli, brussels, kale in daily diet. Have vitamin and mineral supplements. Have spinach and jaggery, iron in it vil enhance melanin forming pathway. Stay away from hairdyes, dryers, spas, bleaches and hot irons. You can use brown natural henna to cover your greys. You need to eat right, include plenty of colourful fruits and vegetables. Avoid chemicals in your hair. Straightening devices can break sulfur bonds in hair. Blow drying vil enhance damage. Have plenty of vitamin supplements. Drink milk and have dairy products. Calcium, copper, iron supplements should b taken. You have to get checked for autoimmune diseases.

My 25-year-old brother has asthma. What is the effect of using an asthma preventer long-term? I heard that using it for years might cause bone shrinkage. Is it true? Are there any vitamins or supplements to help vision?

If steroids are given orally for long periods of time than only it will cause bone shrinkage but if given through nebulisation than it won't have any side effects

Hello my mother is 57 years old and she has a regular back pain from last three months and even she is not able to stand and sit properly due to this back pain and also a stomach problem she have.
