    A cough and cold is everywhere.

    Follow the given steps and avoid getting it.

    - always cover your nose and mouth while going in crowded places.

    - always wash hands properly after coming from outside.

    - avoid hand contact with eye, nose and mouth without washing hands properly.

    - stay away from a coughing person, or cover nose and mouth with a napkin.

    - if any family member of yours has a cough, make sure he/she wears a mask or, at least, covers mouth while coughing.

    - maintain good nutrition status by eating a lot of fresh fruits and healthy food. Take vitamin c rich fruits like lemon and amla to get maximum protection.

    - avoid outside food and cold drinks which may trouble the throat.

    - consult an expert doctor as soon as possible if you have any fever, sore throat or a cough.

    This season we are facing commonest questions like-
    I have cough and cold with some body pains. Etc.

    Please read carefully to treat and to be prevented
    From this seasonal cold.

    Tthis season has little bit powerful kind of virus strain for the flu or we call a common cold.

    1. Body warmts is much needed.
    Do not be a super hero, wear warm and thick woolen clothes, circle your neck properly.
    2. Vitamin c is the biggest fighting agent against cold. So drink lemon in warm water and eat amla as well.
    3. High protein diet (not fat) required like cheeze and soyabean or eggs.

    Cure for cold:
    If you already have cold.
    Follow simple steps:
    1. Only severe cold needs medication.
    2. Try to avoid fever lowering drugs. As it can lower your immunity as well.
    3. In very high fever you may take paracetamol.
    4. Very severe cold, headache, fever and viral load needs antiviral medication and dont delay taking them from a consultant (effects only if you take within 72 hours).
    5. Rest rest and rest. Its a must and can cure you without any effort.
    6. Warm liquids with turmeric and lemon 4 to 5 times a day can help a lot.

    In severe cases do not delay to consult a specialist.

    Any of these people are at risk of developing heart disease.

    1. Uncontrolled diabetes
    2. Hypertension
    3. Smoking (very strong factor)
    4. Obesity
    5. Family history of heart disease
    6. Stress and angry nature
    7. High ldl (bad cholesterol)
    8. Low hdl (good cholesterol)
    9. Sedentary lifestyle (lack of exercise)
    10. Older age.
    11. Indians are in high risk group,

    Some other factors like men are more susceptible, and post menopausal women are at more risk of having a coronary artery disease (heart attack).

    If you have single factors from above given list, you are at a lesser risk, but if you have multiple- (3 to 4 or more) factors. You must take a good care and heal the cause.

    Did you know that many times heart attack gives you warnings first!
    Heart disease or coronary artery blockade is a chronic disease, not always sudden!
    Heart may warn you by giving theses signs. Read carefully.
    1. Little bit of chest heaviness since few days
    2. Mild pain on the left chest with or without left hand/shoulder pain.
    3. Shortness of breath while walking fast or climbing stairs
    4. Shortness of breath especially on night time with pain.
    5. Sometimes severe pain on centre of chest, getting relieved automatically.

    So go for a health check as soon as possible if you have such symptoms and can avoid heart attack.

    It is a typical myth that heart problems can only occur in adults and aged people.

    Fact is - children can also be having heart diseases! which are called congenital or by birth heart diseases.
    These ones include- septal defects like- asd, vsd (hole in the heart), valvular diseases, heart malformations, pda and even adult like coronary heart disease.

    Signs and symptoms can be-
    Easy fatigue,
    Difficulty in breathing
    Sometimes bluish discolouration of skin
    Chest pain
    Palpitation etc.

    If you are a diabetic or have a risk of getting it, this are the simple things to remember to control blood sugar levels.

    1. Exercise regularly. 30 mins in the morning and 30 mins in the evening minimum.
    2. Avoid extra calories. Even extra carbs can be converted to sugars and damage you.
    4. Avoid white things. Sugars, rice, sweets, maida.
    5. Sugar free sweets are same. Don; t eat it!
    6. Check blood sugar regularly- at least once a 15 days of you are a diabetic, and once every 3 months if you are above 40 years.
    7. Never to stop or change your diabetic medication without your doctor's advise.

    Admit only to a hospital which has cardiac angiography or plasty felicities.
    Every minute is crucial.
    It saves a lot of time, and can save his/her life.
    If not available, admit only under a cardiac physician or to a hospital having
    Emergency/indoor facilities.

    Follow below given steps-

    1) make the patient comfortable, lie him down and prevent any falls.
    2) check whether he is breathing well and conscious.
    3) give him tablet disprin as soon as possible
    4) give an antacid also like- pantocid d or anyone.
    4) give a tablet sorbitrate- if available to put below tongue and not to swallow.
    5) if blood pressure can be measured and comes low, elevate his legs and let
    Him lie flat.
    5) call a medical help as soon as possible.

    Many people nowadays have common question. Is my chest pain related to cardiac disease? or is it a heart attack?

    Heart attack.
    What is it?
    - heart attack or angina-typical chest pain occurs when one or more blood vessels of heart get blocked and heart's own blood supply stops- heart muscle suffers of oxygen and nutrition deficit and gets damaged or dies!

    What are the symptoms?
    - a severe chest pain like some one stabs in your chest with a knife. Some people feel severe compression or heaviness in chest. Pain of heart attack can also be felt in left side of body like- in left hand, shoulder, lower jaw etc.

    Associated symptoms are- breathlessness, heavy perspiration, nausea, vomiting etc.
    As soon as you find these symptoms. Just rush to nearest hospital.
