Stress is an emotional reaction triggered by a situation you face within yourself. It involves numerous neurotransmitter which rise and lower depending upon you act to the crisis. Long time stress not handled properly will be adverse to your health, thinking process, decision making and overall wellbeing/ happiness of your life. It even keeps you in distressed relationship and poor work output. When stressed very many cognitive abilities get disturbed, imagination may be one among many. I am not a smoker but 3 days back smoked a little too many menthol cigarettes total of 6 and spoke a bit too much as I was out with friends and ever since then every time I speak for a continuous 10-20 minutes my throat hurts and I feel dull pain on the left side of it and the voice becomes hoarse, would could it possibly be? I had similar symptoms three years back when I had lost my voice to laryngitis due to bulimia nervosa, I have completely recovered since then.

Give yourself some rest and wait and see if the symptoms eradicate. If not meet an ENT. Check for it and get treated if there s any throat issues. As you know in the condition of bulimia nervosa if you were into habits if compulsive vomiting there would have been too much stress to the throat area. You have mentioned you have been treated. By any chance, any time the habit resurfaces meet a psychiatrist and follow through. Take care.

I am 31 years old male, I have mood change frequently (anxiety and depression) having long time.
Moods swings may be caused depending upon the situation you face and how you handle it depending upon the previous learning and the ability to cope up with the stress. It is very common in certain types of personality disorders, depression and anxiety. Get yourself assessed and get treated if you are not able to handle by your own or it causes distress in you are causing distress to the known others. Take care.

If a child is behaving with so much anger outbursts we first question the parenting, whether all his needs from the beginning were met immediately before, and he is to throw temper tantrums to meet his needs. Any child learns patterns of behaviours from the known others, parents and environment. If the parenting and environment is fine you need to assess the child for IQ/ADHD or for other behavioural problems with a clinical psychologist.in this modern world with ao much of violent cartoons and movies if the child is exposed to many the child might mimic certain super heroes with his acquired knowledge and act to his needs of gratification. If the child falls under ADHD please provide him the needful pharmacotherapy treatment and behavioural therapy to change his behaviour. Take care.

Dr. How to judge a person if he/she is in depression? Doctor please suggest me something?

Dr. How to judge a person if he/she is in depression? Doctor please suggest me something?
Depression has its own set of symptoms like anhedonia, anergia, decresaed sleep, appetite, lowered concentration and attention etc and at its peak of severity the person might have suicidal ideas. The symptom and severity vary with person to person. Having hopelessness and sadness alone won't put anyone to be depressed but they are part and parcel of the symptoms. Thyroid in medical condition put the person more into the condition of depression due to neurotransmitter imbalance. Please get the person treated by a psychiatrist as depression is actually adverse to a healthy and happy life. CBT and mindfulness from a clinical psychologist will also help as an adjunct, take care.

I have 2 questions 1. Does masturbation cause memory loss or reduce in concentration level or reduce your capacity to...
The answer for the first question is scientifically no. If you feel you have memory lossand decreased concentration that might not be because of your masturbatory practices. It might also be because of stress, working scenario, depression and very many psychological conditions. Even if you quit this practices you might not be get rid of the symptoms as the root cause is not treated. Meet a psychiatrist/ clinical psychologist and get treated.

Am a 25 years old female. Got married 1 year back. My husband never showed any interest in having sex with me. It was just 5 or 6 tyms that we had a foreplay and never proper sex. He never tried to show any type of intimacy with me. I felt like he is avoiding me most of the tyms. He used to take care of me well, helped me very much in studies, took me out for shopping, bought me things and all but sometimes he behaves so rude that he even spits on me or bite me hard. He says it is for fun but I was getting hurt. He used to tel me that he loves his friend (boy) most in this world and he can't love anyone else more than that. He was very short tempered and I was not even courageous enough to question him. We got divorced 4 months back. I still love him deep in my heart and I can't forget those good things he did for me. Now I am very depressed and I feel guilty for what I have done. I can't sort out right and wrong. Can not concentrate in anything and crying every single day. My love for him is killing me. Will you please help me get out of this?

A husband and wife shares a beautiful relationship where apart from care and concern love and affection, physical intimacy also plays a greater role to get the family life to completion. Any person would be good depending upon how he treats the other concerned person in his life and how he was taken by the other half. You have come out of a relationship that too very recently. You will have to face very many concerns regarding self, family and society. You will of course be depressed and think about the past and worry as future will appear bleak to you. The decision taken is with a proper reason. There is nothing to feel guilty about it. It will take time for you to come out and it demands time. So give it that time to yourself. It will be alright once you gopast those memories still you are down take a course of antidepressants from a psychiatrist to pull yourself up. Take care.

You try to wear a proper goggle and mask if your working condition demands so. If still your eyes are swelling better meet an opthalmologist to check the condition.in the construction work you can't avoid dust smoke and all weldinghazards. If you are new it ll get accommodated after some time. Seek help from a concerned specialty person and get treated if it continues after protection too.

I can't perform work properly from one year I can't remember any thing .even if I have to remember any thing I can't remember just if any one can tell me something. My study is badly effected by this problem.in exams I can't write any thing. The pressure of exams is also .I had before this personal problem ,stress, anxiety etc.

You might have seen many but might not have said your symptoms properly. Some psychopathology mimiks depression it might not be so. If the time spent is little and if the doctor is carried away by the word depression then you will be treated by antidepressants and you would not have got a cure. If you have not seen better results prior you undergo psychometric tests from a clinical psychologist from your area and then meet the psychiatrist with the report. That might help as certain things unresolved, unexplored and unexplained might come out in these series of tests. Finally you need to get treated by medicines and if there is a need the Dr. might suggest you psychotherapy too which ll help you in addition to pharmacotherapy.
