-eat healthy. Don't skip meals. -drink milk shake twice everyday. -eat bananas and eat protein filled foods. - do not smoke or drink much alcohol. -lift weights. This will naturally make your skin better as well. Follow cleansing toning and moisturizing regimen every night before sleeping. Also do mild scrubbing on face twice a week.

Mr Prashant, I am unable to understand your question. However, I am giving some explanation which may help. For T2 DM (which is usually seen older persons) can be treated by oral anti diabetic drugs or with Insulin injections or at times both are used together for better control. In addition exercise and diet control are also equally important. Because extra weight and inactivity both contribute to diabetes. Plus it is necessary to avoid sweets, direct sugar, deep fried foods, junk foods and pastries. Also person has refrain from red meat, egg yolk, alcohol and smoking.

I have small black hairs in the two sides of nose. Is it hormone disorder? How to remove it.

No it is not hormone disorder. Some hair are present in the nostrils and they are protective , therefore they should not be removed but if cosmetically you feel they do not look good , get some of them plucked.

She should start taking vitamin d supplements along with calcium. Uprise d (60, 000) iu. Once a week for for 12 weeks. Tab calcium sandoz 500 mg once a day for 1 month sunlight exposure for 15-20 minutes, (8-10am! sunlight only consult privately for any further help.

My mother has been suffering from many types of pain. Problem is that the wrist are no properly rotated. And paining always in both the joints of hand nd leg joints. He can not walk much time. Due to much pain created.

This is due to arthritis. Avoid eating dal, lady finger, kathal, tomato, spinach and other green leafy vegetables and curd. She may take rhus tox 200 5-6 pills thrice daily. You may take homoeopathic treatment.

Many people do desk job and this alone is not the reason for excess wt. Losing weight suddenly will only cause increase in wt later. You have to make effort to lose wt gradually over a period of time. This reduction will be more permanent. *Take protein rich food --- seeds, pulses, nuts, Also fruits, vegetables, greens and reduce carbs/cereals. *Green tea is also good. *Take lemon juice and honey in warm water in the early morning, empty stomach. *Avoid sweets, cakes, creams, fried foods, processed food and junk food. * Maintain food timings * Don’t miss breakfast. *Avoid heavy dinners and late night meals. *Avoid stimulants, aerated drinks sweetish juices, etc. And maintain good food habits. * Drink lots of water and keep hydrated. Avoid sugary soft drinks * Have adequate, timely, good night sleep *Even with desk job, you can spend morning and evening time for work out *Have vigorous physical exercise to improve absorption and blood circulation. Games like basketball, volley ball and stretch exercises like pull ups, cycling will be helpful. Obesity- Check whether you have thyroid and such ailments causing weight increase.

Incorporating healthy foods in the diet is not enough. One should understand factors affecting the absorption of nutrients from the food. Some factors are responsible for increased absorption of particular nutrient whereas some decreases its absorption. Calcium is the hardest mineral to get absorbed in the body. 30-80 % of the dietary calcium is not getting absorbed in the adult body.

Factors increasing absorption of calcium:
1 vitamin d: vitamin d works in the digestive tract to absorb calcium into the blood stream from the walls of the duodenum. Vitamin d also helps maintain normal blood calcium level.


2. Parathyroid hormone: it increases calcium transport across the membrane of intestinal cells.


3. Acid environment: hydrochloric acid secreted in the stomach during the process of digestion is required for the absorption of calcium in the duodenum. Calcium supplements could be taken with magnesium at bedtime or between meals due to the acid environment needed in the stomach to assimilate the calcium. Always consult a physician before beginning a new supplement regimen.


4. Milk lactose: it favors absorption in infants. Lactose is acted upon by intestinal microbial flora to form acid which causes lowering of ph which makes calcium more soluble.


5. Amino acids: supplemental calcium is often chelated, or combined with protein molecules called amino acids, to help the body absorb them during digestion. Lysine and arginine increase calcium absorption.


6. Exercise: exercise along with vitamin d intake helps calcium absorption thereby making bones strong.


Factors decreasing absorption of calcium:
1. Oxalic acid& phytic acid: foods that are high in oxalic acid such as spinach, chard and chocolate, reduce calcium absorption. Oxalic acid binds with the calcium to form a salt crystal, calcium oxalate which cannot be absorbed. Phytic acid, which is found in whole-grain foods and high-fibre foods, effects calcium absorption the same way.


2. Phosphorus: too much phosphorus in the diet causes precipitation of calcium in the form of calcium phosphate.


3. Stress: stress can have a negative effect on hcl production in the stomach and on normal digestive behaviour in the body, and can therefore have a negative effect on calcium absorption.


4. Caffeine, drugs like anticoagulants, cortisone and thyroxine reduce calcium absorption.

V lack of exercise and vitamin d deficiency leads to decrease calcium absorption.

Hello lybrate-user. For ideal body weight. World health organization who has defined bmi, body mass index. Its a special ratio of weight & height. Bmi should be within 18 to 25. Above 25, it will be over weighted. So your weight between 50 to 69 kg is ideal range. 62 weight is great.

Weight fluctuation can be due to following reasons: -stress -change in diet -illness -change in weather -water intake also, if you change your weighing scale, it can show a wrong weight depending on the settings of the machine.

Dear lybrate user, your first meal should be consumed within 15-30 minutes of waking up add some extra carbohydrates and proteins to your breakfast for proteins you can take cottage cheese, yogurt or partly skimmed cheeses, you can also include non vegetarian sources eggs whites for carbohydrates choose complex carbs, such as cornmeal, oatmeal and whole grains in breakfast and also 1 fistfull of dried fruits, nuts and seeds like almonds, walnuts, flax seeds eg for break fast can have yogurt+ oats +fruits with 1 fistfull of nuts like almonds+raisins+pimpkin seeds+flax seeds+walnuts etc or veg thepla+ curd/ milk and peanut butter+1 fruit good luck.

Madam, In my USG report fluid level is adequate and mild polyhudrous, that why doctor has suggested me do not use sugar and also for sugar test and CBC test. I am 9 mnth pregnant, I hd sugar test two times bt report was normal. My prevs. HB level was 11.3. please guide me about the effect of polyhydrous amniotic fluid. To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start exercising. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. Lift Weights, do free body weight exercises. 2. Eat healthy. Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food and any form of sugar. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your daily food intake should ideally consist of nuts, dry fruits, seeds, almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. 3. Consume good amount of fruits and vegetables. Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. 4. Eat whole grains. Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. 5. Supplementation. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. 6. Increase protein intake. Should I leave gym workout if I m feeling pain in my surgery area of inguinal hernia. I went to the Dr. He said there is no recurrence.
