Hi, If the glass pieces are slighly bigger, it may damage the mucosal layer of the intestine which leads to internal bleeding. It is better to undergo an U/S scan of the abdomen to know the exact size and location of the glass particle and then be treated accordingly.

What is the right time and way to take Almond, walnut for Dr. citizens. I am on order line of diabetes.
Though certain nuts and oil seeds are healthy for diabetics depending on their glycemic index and micronutrient density, they are calorie dense too. Therefore they should be included under HEALHTY snacking and inbetween meals rather than with meals to break the calories and distribute them evenly throughout the day.

Lemon water is best taken the first thing in the morning. Avoid it at night. You can take a cup of green tea or chamomile tea at night. It will give you a soothing effect and also help you in controlling your weight.

Obesity is a global epidemic, affecting almost all areas of human health, from heart disease to cancer, and impacting upon most of the major causes of preventable death. However, in recent years, obesity has increased dramatically in many parts of the world with India ranking third in the world’s most obese countries. Although diet and lifestyle choices play a big role, obesity might be in your genes, according to a recent study.

With over 50% of obesity being attributed to genetics, obesity can be an inherited condition. We inherit a lot more from our parents and grand-parents than our skin, hair colour and intelligence, but also predisposition to conditions such as obesity. Understanding one’s genetic profile can help individuals understand their body type and tailor their diets to foods best suited to them.

The obesity gene – FTO

The FTO gene, commonly called the obese gene is a major contributor to obesity in individuals. One version of this gene makes impulse control difficult, affecting your food choice and makes it difficult to maintain a healthy weight. Several other genes such as MC4R, INSIG, TCF7L2, LEP, IRS, have also been found to contribute to obesity. While genes do play some role in causing a predisposition to obesity, they are not entirely to blame. According to a study published by Harvard School of Public Health, ‘Active adults who carried the obesity-promoting gene had a 30 percent lower risk of obesity than inactive adults who carried the gene’. In addition to genetics, there are several factors that play a role – unhealthy lifestyles, diet inadequate in nutrients but rich in calories, higher stress levels, physical inactivity, rise in conditions such as diabetes, hormonal imbalances, in fertility etc. 

Genetic tests are available nowadays to tell you what type of genes that you carry and your susceptibility to obesity. Personalised weight management programs are more effective than one size fits all approach that provides generic advice.

Simple dietary modifications can help you to overcome risks of gaining weight that might be caused due to your obesity genes:

  1. Drink 1 glass of water before every meal that you consume. This helps you to make you feel full and eat less.
  2. Slow paced eating (20-25 minutes) helps you to feel full and also aids in digestion.
  3. Protein rich breakfast such as two egg whites or 1 cup of pulses will help you to maintain your satiety.
  4. High fibre diet (at least 3-4 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruits) will help you to lose weight.
  5. Adding a variety to your diet will also help you to lose weight.

Hi, Your body is a gift of God. I know these days finding time is difficult. But you can pull out 30 mins daily in the morning somehow. Make it a habit for life. It will make your life better and make you fitter. Apart from that cut down your daily oil and sugar intake. 4 teaspoons oil and 4 teaspoons sugar maximum in one day no more. Eat more fruits drink more water. Avoid outside food. Right now your weight is Ok, it is not too much but weight gain happens slowly. Today you can build healthy habits which will last you forever. Make those habits today.

Few tips on diet say no to maida items like toast, khaari ,naan ,white bread. Can drink tea but without sugar say no to Buffalo milk and can drink cows milk can eat brown bread can eat sprout's can eat green vegetables, can eat chappati ,bajra ka rotla can eat one katori of rice twice a day with dal to avoid farsan food items can eat fruits say no to coconut water.

Hi, It is just 40 days after your c-section. Please do not lift weight, squat on the floor or bend forwards till 6 months of delivery as the sutured muscles need to gain strength.

Normally if is of burning sensation it is of nerve deficit or lesion or of pathological reasons better rule out gout arthritis or lumbosacral spine lesions etc, regarding home remedies do have ice fomentation or compression thrice a day for 5days of 15 minutes duration each time or do follow for private consultation via lybrate.

The things are possible with limitations but still the sugar is not appreciable many more things in body to be regulated as your physician might have advised so just consultation on line is not simple also not advisable her dietary scheduling and liking are to be regulated your mother is really lucky and blessed by god that does not have the higher rannge if proper consultation is dome may it be possible to have good controll by changing few things and till she can maintain with out medication later can switch on to medicines if taking we need to know many information to manage human onditions wish you all the best.

i suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. start exercise regularly for 3 month and then after 3 month leave it for 3 month at the time of exercise your diet will increase but same diet continue after 3 month when you stop exercise so thats why your weight will increase automatically now we discus about diet 2.take dates with milk in the morning breakfast 3.triphala kadha 4 tsp beore lunch and dinner 4.amala juice 4 tsp + 2tsp sugar + 2tsp honey in the morning empty stomach this take for 1.5 month only your weight gain will take definitely note=avoid over eating ......

People who go to gym need special food supplements which are rich in proteins and vitamins. Food which can burn body fat and also control the weight. Having just the protein shake and juice is not the end of the diet chart after gym. Here are the foods to include in your diet chart if you go to gym. Take a look. Diet chart for people who gym: 1. Have healthy and nutritious snacks before going to the gym. They provide energy, are not heavy on the stomach and keeps you fit to workout. 2. Food rich in glucose provide energy to the body and helps workout with ease. Have fruits such as banana, papaya, pineapple to name a few glucose rich fruits. 3. Dried fruits such as almonds, apricots, pears and cashew nuts to boost up energy levels. They are rich in carbohydrates, proteins, minerals and vitamins to keep you fit and healthy. 4. Food rich in carbohydrates are also healthy for people who gym. Include carbohydrates in your diet chart to get energy during workout. 5. Carbohydrates promote glucose levels in the body without increasing the blood sugar levels negatively. 6. Whole grains, bread and cereals are rich in carbohydrates and can be included in the diet chart of gym freaks! 7. To reduce belly fat you need to be particular about food choices & timings. Eat small & frequent meals. Include high fiber foods in your diet such as whole cereals & whole pulses. Drink plenty of water. Avoid refined foods from your diet such as maida, pasta. Keep check on your food intake.
