I have lower back pain since 2012 and it is increasing day by day I have consulted all bone specialist but no effect. Can you help me?

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket . And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back . you may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * Gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * Surya Namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * In diet vegetable protein of cereal , B complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise.

I am 17 years old and I am having backache from last 6 months. What should I do.?

Six months is a long period for backache at this age. If it radiates to the legs, it is more alarming. Use a hard bed with thin mattress and a lumbo-sacral corset. Give local heat, apply local pain gel and take pain killers for 7-10 days. It may need to be investigated if pain persists. Consult an ortho. Surgeon in your vicinity.

Back pain can result from bad posture, a sudden jerky movement, a lumpy mattress or poor lifting techniques. It can also be caused by injury in a work place, by a sports accident or by muscular spasms. It often occurs during pregnancy or, because of decreased flexibility, as people get older. There are also many diseases and pathological conditions that can lead to back pain. These include abdominal or pelvic disease, anxiety, arthritis, cervical or lumbar spondylosis, dermatological problems, kidney disease, rheumatic conditions, tumours and scoliosis. Our modern, sedentary lifestyles have a profound effect on the development of back pain; indeed one of the most effective ways of preventing it is simply to stay active. Top tips for back care: For back pain, better to see your Doctor sooner than later. Take regular exercise – your Doctor can say what’s right for you. Hours in one position can cause problems – avoid computer ‘hump’. During repetitive tasks, vary your rhythm and take frequent breaks. Adjust car seats and on long journeys, take regular breaks to stretch. Pace yourself with heavy work such as gardening – don’t risk a disc! Watch children’s posture – they shouldn’t carry bags on one shoulder or spend too long at a computer without breaks. Avoid strain when lifting, particularly small children and shopping. Your bed could be part of the problem. Seek Doctor advice on choosing a new one. Take a hot bath or shower, soaking in a hot tub, or using a heating pad, hot water bottle, or heat wrap that provides continuous, low-level heat are all ways to bring healing warmth to your lower back.

I am 51 years suffering from gaote arthritis in ankle. There is swelling and pain. What to do? at present I am talking pain killer like diclofenac injection or tablet or chimolarte tab.

Kindly show me your investigation reports. If it is really gout, then febucip 40mg (cipla) bd should help you. Also take contact me again for follow up. You have to change your life style no smoking, no alcohol, no non veg food, no late nights, no severe work outs/dances etc. Etc. You will need other supportive medicines as well.

Back pain is caused due to various reasons. A detailed evaluation is needed to diagnose exact problem. However you can start doing some exercises to relieve from your back pain. Do back strengthening exercises thrice a day. Do back stretching exercises if you feel any tightness. Modify your life style, sitting and standing postures. Sit erect and make sure your feet is touching the floor. Avoid bending forward repeatedly. You can also do hot water fermentation with added salt in it for instant pain relief. It will give soothing effect. Follow this and revert back.

Knee pain. I am trying to lose my weight and now I reduced 10 kg. Still knee is paining v.much. No strength to climb the stairs.

Congratulations for embarking on the healthy way and loosing 10 kgs. You should start specific exercises for the knee which focus on strengthening your quadriceps and hamstrings. Avoid stair climbing /squatting and sitting cross legged. Do swimming and cycling instead. You may need Cartilage supplements based on further evaluation. Regards.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Suggested you should control your sugar nd bp. In addition if you r overweight try nd reduce it. Do some quadriceps strengthening exe. Roll a towel put it under your knee. Lie down straight. Press the roll of towel under your knee with knee hold it for 20 sec. Repeat it 15 times. Twice a day.
