You should not try to make children fat as obesity is associated with many complications. If the weight is around 9 kgs it's normal.

What exactly is a spine block injection? Will it work long-term for low back pain due to disc problems? What causes Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and what is the best method of treatment? Most of the times bed wetting is inorganic. The approach in this case will be to look for organic causes which are those that needs treatment with medication or surgery. These are usually not needed. If the condition is inorganic, behaviour therapy could be instituted.

After every bout of loose motion, feed your child a few teaspoons of a drink he enjoys. Some good options include water, coconut water, buttermilk, lassi, barley water, lemonade or nimbu paani and lemonade with mint or nimbu pudina paani. If your baby is breastfeeding, continue to feed him. Breastmilk has fluids and nutrients that improve digestion. You may also want to buy an ORS or Oral Rehydration Solution pack from your local chemist. Give your baby a few sips every hour. This will help him stay hydrated. Make sure you prepare the ORS exactly how it is prescribed on the packet. If your baby is vomiting, wait for 15 to 30 minutes, and then give him a few teaspoons of water. Once that goes down well, give him clear liquids like coconut water or watery rice gruel.

I HAVE A 7 YRS OLD DAUGHTER. THREE YRS BACK SHE WAS ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL FOR 2 DAYS FOR DEHYDRATION. FROM THEN ON SHE HAS A LOT OF ITCHING ON HER BODY. IT KEEPS OCCURRING IN 2-3 MONTHS GAP. PLEASE SUGGEST SOME REMEDY

Possible reflux with sickness is common concerns, discuss with your paediatrician to start medicine for the same and till then give small volume but regular feeds to control vomits. More liquid to avoid dehydration.

My 3 year old son shows very strong resistance to take antibiotics (because of the bitter taste) and refuses to take them. When we try to forcibly give him, he spits it out. At times it happens that he gulps the medicine but immediately vomits. Please suggest solution ?

He is right, antibiotics may not be always required for each and every illness, they have their own problems, and are very bad to taste, please try one which you are giving to your child. Avoid unjust use and abuse of antibiotics, they are the only weapons with us to fight the deadly organisms, frequent use makes their susceptibility less, and they dont work when definately needed.

Head is always warm in children. If you apply oil on it then it can cause sneezing, running nose due to smell of oil and accidental touching of nose with oil soiled hands. If you can check axillary temperature and find above 99.5°F then it's fever. Otherwise nothing is needed. Avoid putting oil on head as body looses heat by sweating and oil wool reduce it which in turn will raise the heat.

Her wt at this age should be about 13 kg. She is definitely under wt. It is better to consult pediatrician. Add fibrous food in her diet and increase quantity of water to drink, that may resolve her constipation.
