Cold & cough often means low immunity. Start putting anu tailam 2-2 drops daily on nose. Start taking siva syrup 10 ml bd. This will improve the immune system & you will bot get frequent infections. Take 1 amla everyday.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Kindly show me digital x rays of ls. Spine sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od do neck, back & shoulder exercises it may have to be further investigated you will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I met with an accident on Dec 2013 and my femur got fractured so I have a rod in my right leg. Till now I did not removed the rod do any problem persists in future?

Hi lybrate-user. It is not necessary to get the rod removed until and unless you face with the problems of difficulty in walking due to presence of rod, infection of the rod, breakage of the rod due to re trauma or in cases of re fracture of the bone itself. I'm saying this because removal of the rod itself is another surgical procedure and sometimes can be very challenging. Hence get it removed only if you have problems related to the presence of rod in your femur.

You just do gentle stretching of whole body, do bhujang asana and in morning daily take a long walk. That might not give stress to your body and warm up and cool down is must.

Try doing stretching exercises for leg muscles daily and use heat ot ice on painful area three times a day for 10 minutes. If pain is still there then see a physiotherapist.

Hi pain or soreness in the foot, that eases with time during the day, is generally indicative of plantar fasciitis. The first step you take generally after sitting or standing for a long time or when you get up from the bed is painful. As you start walking the pain clears up. Plantar fascia is a ligament that connects your heel bone to your toes. Other causes of foot pain can be rheumatoid arthritis, faulty arch, ligament tears, fractures, and gout. +wear soft padded footwear. +do stretching of calf muscles +learn strengthening exercise of ankle +take contrast bath at physio clinic. Hello lybrate user, yes in some cases osteoarthritis is a part of aging as the intervening ligaments and cartilages that separate the knee joint start to degenerate and the underlying bone starts getting exposed and rubbing each other causing pain with simple movements like squatting. Rest avoid sqautting and sitting cross legged hot water fomentation twice daily knee caps use quadriceps strengthening exercises (available on google image search) weight reduction if possible obviously prevention is better than cure so aim for a healthy lifestyle and exercise regularly god bless you.

Her head is spinning every time since last 2 days when she starts continuing this medicines. She is diabetic. Due to joint, heel pain nd diabetes doctor has prescribed these. Tell me if anything wrong wth this medicine or give some advice. When the sugar level was around 170 (fasting) her head was not spinning. Nw frm 2 days its happening.

If she is taking diabetic medication without having food or reduce quantity from regular intake it may end up in low sugar which may create such head spinning. So ask her to avoid taking low amount of food or skipping food. Joint pain is common in diabetic regular exercise and walking will help.

I have pain 2 to 3 inches above and below knee and back side of knee. It feels like muscular pain. Muscles get tired on climbing stairs but get better after 10 seconds of climbing. Is the related to muscle, ligaments or nerves? Which specialist shall I consult? My age is 33 years.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold). Standing calf stretch stand away from a wall and. Put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day.
