Psoriasis is an auto immune disease and itching with white scales present in the lesion are few symptoms of psoriasis and treatment protocols can be given after clinical examination.

You seem to be suffering from lipomas which are benign tumors of fat cells. They are harmless but are a cosmetic concern for the patients. There are no medicines or diet management plans that can remove them. The only treatment to get rid of them is to go for surgical excision of these lumps. You can upload picture so that I can have a look at it let you know further. I hope to have answered your query and would be happy to clarify any further doubts.

MD - Dermatology, MBBS
Dermatologist, Mumbai
Hello, wear loose cotton underclothes. Keep the private parts dry. Change underclothes regularly. Ringworm or a fungal infection thrives in hot humid, wet environments. Apply k-z cream twice a day on itchy areas for 6 weeks. If no satisfactory improvement, please see a local dermatologist for further assessment.

Eczema: Causes & Prevention

MD - Dermatology, MBBS
Dermatologist, Bangalore
Eczema: Causes & Prevention

Eczema is a very common skin condition that can be identified by reddening of skin, feeling of itchiness in the infected area, appearance of scaly and dry patches of skin. This disease is mostly caused due to skin inflammation or irritation. If a person is suffering from chronic eczema, he or she would experience recurrent skin rashes.

Causes:

The factors that play a role in causing eczema are:

  • Genetics is one of the factors that may affect the proper functioning of your skin as a barrier against harmful substances. Therefore, if either one of the parent or both suffers from the condition, it is very likely that their children too will suffer from it.
  • Abnormal functioning of your body's immune system can also lead to this skin condition. This is because it's your body's immune system that fights off infections as well as harmful intruders.
  • Dry skin brings down your skin's ability to fend off irritants as well as allergy causing substances from entering your skin, resulting in an inflammatory condition.
  • The presence of the bacteria called Staphylococcus aureus, which brings about sweat buildup, inflames the skin considerably, leading to this condition.
  • Even environmental factors like pollen, cigarette smoke lead to the flaring of eczema.

How can you prevent an eczema outbreak?

It is very common for this skin condition to flare-up from time to time. But you can avoid such outbreaks or reduce their severity by following these very simple ways:

  • Sudden changes in temperature can cause the skin condition to break out. So, when the weather is hot, keep yourself cool but during cold weather, use a humidifier to prevent the skin from drying out.
  • Keep sweating in check as it can cause an outbreak very easily
  • Keep your skin well-moisturized so that it doesn't dry out causing further irritation.
  • Avoid the use of harsh detergents and soaps, woolen materials as well as the consumption of foods that may lead to flare-ups.

Hi. The most important point is the type, pattern and stage of hairloss in your case? In male pattern hairloss of initial stages of 1-2, homoeopathic medicines can arrest the stage where it is already in. But in advanced stages of hairloss of 3, 4, 5 - one can have homoeopathic medicines (3 & 4 stage) along with hair transplant. Hair transplant is a procedure where one's own hair follicle from the back side of the scalp (donor area) is taken out from the root and is placed on his own required area (because of DNA reasons, we can't donate hair follicle to each other, not even to our own kids/ siblings/ parents). And in the whole lifetime, we can only take to around 12000 to 14000 follicles from the back (depending on the condition of the donor area) - it's one day procedure. Go to any renowned hospital, clinic or firm which deals only in hair (they may cost little more from you, but will give you a quality results ultimately. And they only allow plastic surgeon to perform this)! cost differs from one doctor to another (from Rs. 40-50 per follicle to Rs. 80-90 per follicle). No. Of follicles depends upon requirement of your scalp and capacity of your donor area (back side of the scalp which is never ever affected by dht) as well. For eg. For stage 1 - may be 2000-2500 follicles are needed, so you can calculate accordingly.
