Please do not feed your baby that is sealed in a packet but you are not completely aware about the nutritional values. Give your baby simple home based food and breastfeed regualrly.

Hello doctor .normal range of body temperature in 6 months old baby. If fever what is temperature to give medication....
A temperature reading isn't the only indication of whether a fever is serious. Age is a factor: Fever is more serious in babies under 3 months. Behavior is another factor: A high fever that doesn't stop your baby from playing and feeding normally may not be cause for alarm. Keep in mind that everyone's temperature rises in the late afternoon and early evening and falls between midnight and early morning. This natural cycle of our internal thermostat explains why doctors get most of their phone calls about fever in the late afternoon and early evening. So yu have to treat the cause of fever and and not the temperature .if the baby is active and playful the temperature is not an indication ofr giving paracetamol and is harmful .It need to be given only if there is infection and a doctor can decide it after seeing the baby.

Eosinophil count can increase because of worms / allergy, deworm him, maybe repeat a count after 15 days.

It's called as growing pain. Many children of that age have that. You can give some analgesic like paracetamol if it's unbearable.

My baby has gastroenteritis. Doctor has said not to give her fruit juice and milk at all. Are there any other restrictions on food? She loves to eat tomatoes in her curries. Can I use the same? She is 2 years 3 months old.

Definitely she can have tomatoes in curry, give ORS (WHO formula) instead of fruit juice, you can give raw fruits. Raw fruits have fibres which helps to hold water in intestine, so improves the consistency of motions and decrease frequency. She can have all natural foods.

Hi My baby is 14 days old. He is having a mix of Nan excella pro and my breast milk as my milk is not sufficient at times. Since yesterday after each feed he passes gas and has been passing very little poop (very little). We usually give him 50-60 ml during each feed (both formula and breast milk if pumped out). Could you kindly tell me if my baby is gassy and what should we do?

Always SIT and breastfeed. When feeding formula make sure the bottle is propped up to prevent air swallowing. Burp the baby after every feed. Gas problem is common with babies. Try some lactagogue to increase breast milk.

Your son is already in hospital so I can not make any comment. however, usually greenish yellow stool are small in quantity but may pass frequently and may be during feed. 4 months child be exclusive on breast feed. Stop if he is on top feed. Look for redness around anus. If it is present take care of it. I don't think of any role of Antibiotic. Otherwise Hospital doctors are best judge.

Most likely he may be sleeping for long hours in day so he is alert in night. Keep him busy in play or activities & avoid sleep more than 1 hour in day.

Hi lybrate-user, It is usual for babies to take out some saliva after vaccination with rotavirus. Do not worry the vaccine has entered his body. Even if the child vomits there is no need to repeat the vaccine. Thanks.
