Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

According your age avoid toward bending of neck and do stretching exercise of neck if it work then ok otherwise mri must.

Hi I am from south India, aged 60, now I suffered by shoulder pain and unable to lift the left hand and restricted movements only, so I go physiotherapy, 20 times is not cure, so, I go a doctor he recommended to anesthesia and injected an injection in shoulder, after that I relief from 90% pain, but the hand not come as regular, I give instruction to lift it not obey and not lift, but I lift it by other hand it comes, like that unable to come down, its pain, so, I slowly down it with the help of another hand. I know the hand not lift as per instruction by me about fear for pain. What I do, I go physiotherapy again. Last night I get another type pain, in bone I think or in muscle, I am suspect the physiotherapy persons handle rough I think. [they wrap a rubber band and tie with in their hip and pull, and do movement by hands,]

Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

Lybrate-user ji looking to your height you should have a maximum weight of 57 kg. All your problems are because of your overweight. You need to reduce your body weight by minimum 25 kg. In addition do some strengthening exe for your quadriceps.

My mother has severe n continuous joint and back and also frozen shoulder. Many doctors said dis is vit. D deficient that's y she had a pain. Her tests r done many a times but no arthritis found. Now she is taking cholecalciferol granules and seacord tab. But no relief. Day by day pain is aggravating. Please advice me what to do.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned joint pain and back pain with frozen shoulder as a problem. I need to understand details about her back issues and which joints are involved with pain? also tell me the duration, and investigations done and treatment received till now. Also frozen shoulder is an issue in which shoulder movements decrease with attending pain, commonly seen in diabetics but association with other conditions is also present but frozen shoulder has got no link with vitamin d deficiency, it needs intensive physical therapy. Apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha yograj guggul 1-1 twice a day after lunch and dinner. Take maharasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Avoid tea. Coffee. Junk food. Spicy food. Fermented food. Take green vegetables. Drink juice. Eat fruits. Drink 7-8 glass of water in a day. Lybrate-user ji you did not mentioned weight of your father. If he is overweight ge need to reduce it. Use only western toilt nd not indian toilet. Do not use staircase. Do not bend your knee more than 90 degree.

Dear Kusuma.. You need weight reducing diet chart. Primarily avoid salts, junk foods, fried foods, butter. Do not skip breakfast. Do not be at fasting more than 3 hours.Do brisk walk at least 45 min at any time in a day. Regards..

Naturally I am light brown skin. But due to lack of awareness in past years my hands legs I foots. Have grown more darker. As I drive daily in two Wheeler for about 30 kms. Though I use cloths. First of all pl stop all parlour treatments. Start taking light food and clean gut by herbals for three days, then once a week. Eat salt restricted diet. Start smearing raw cold milk on face with cotton balls and massage in circular motions. Let dry and wash with cold water. Do twice. If you get time pl wash with pure rose water in between once. After one or two weeks, get next tip which will be according to response you get. It's slow but effective and safe and economic. Definitely working.

Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Neck is always after sleeping some sort of muscle problem. It take 1-2 hours to normal. What should we do? It generally occur in winter season.

If it's restricted to neck only then may be due to some risky habit like the pillow/bed cushion, type of sofa used while watching tv for long duration, height of tv from seating level. If any of these factors are there try to avoid these it will be solved. Better use a matte over hard floor for sleeping during night, at least for a month.
