Hello lybrate-user, first thing you have to do is notice that the blood is actually coming from your mouth or it is coming from throat. When you spit means whether it is forceful or normal because if you are forcefully spitting and then the blood is coming it means it is from throat or other sit and not from mouth. But if it comes with your saliva that means there is any gum infection. Notice all these things and tell your doctor.

I have a large ulcer on my tongue from 1 week. Difficult to eat and drink & Painful.

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
there are so many causes of mouth ulcers like- -Stress or tissue injury is thought to be the cause of simple mouth ulcers. -Certain foods, including citrus or acidic fruits and vegetables (such as lemons, oranges, pineapples, apples, figs, tomatoes and strawberries), can trigger a mouth ulcer. -Sometimes a sharp tooth surface also trigger mouth ulcers. -Some cases of complex mouth ulcers are caused by an underlying health condition, such as an impaired immune system; nutritional problems, such as vitamin B-12, zinc, folic acid, or iron deficiency and heat in stomach. . Usually ulcer heals by itself only within 1 week. You can take 'Becosule capsule' once in a day for 1 week for faster recovery. Temporarily you can apply mucopain gel over ulcer for relief..

We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning, root canal treatment & capping. Until then apply clove oil on the decayed tooth. Rinse frequently with mouth wash.

I have fone fillings in ma tooth. I can feel sensation since the fillings are deleted. I am scared of drilling. Whether the same can be done through laser method. How much does it cost per teeth?

BDS, Basic Life Support (B.L.S)
Dentist, Pune
Laser is not more effective than drilling. A good dentist who genuinely cares about the patient and has a good hand will really put you at ease. You can put local anesthetic usually that helps too.

I am male 46 yr old and have halitosis. What should I do?

Advanced Aesthetics, BDS
Dentist,
Hi, there are various reasons of bad breath (halitosis), like impurities in blood, inefficient digestive system, dry mouth (lack of saliva production), gum disease, cavities, plaque and tartar formation around teeth and gums, kind of diet, improper brushing / cleaning of mouth etc. I would advise you to get a thorough physical and dental examination to rule out the cause of bad breath and to solve it permanently.

Dear Don not self medicate. Its very harmful. You never know why you have pain. Visit your dentist and see why you have pain. Medication will only help you avoid pain but not the cause of your pain.

Suffering from mouth & toung ulcers frequently. Please help

BDS
Dentist,
Please take multi vitamins and use some gum paint on d ulcers. Also try to observe if some kind of food or habit is acting as an irritant and increasing the ulcers. Kindly stop that and most importantly avoid stress if any because that is also one of d causes of ulceration.

Seems it may be a case of a nerve exposure. You need to visit a good dentist a. S. A. P & get an x-ray done to access the damage already done & get treatment done on that tooth. Self medication will result in more tooth damage & bad for tooth survival in your mouth. Take care, god speed!
