First of all bad breath may be due to acidity / constipation. So for your problem a lft blood test must be performed, start daily walk esp at night after dinner, do not take onion at all, take aanwla churna with cocconut water two times a day after meals, take one chapati less at night, take smaal meals, add salad to your diet, relieve constipation at all, your problems will be solved, otherwise some medicines can be prescribed to you after you consultation.

Detailed description on Tooth decay

Hi I'm Dr. Vikash, an Endodontist and Senior Consultant at Ethical Dental and Health Care, Sector-1004, Noida. Today I'm going to discuss about the most common disease in the world, that is Tooth Decay.

Inside everyone's mouth there is a war going on. Our tooth is under attack by various bacterias. These bacterias grow a layer called plaque. It is an invisible battle because bacterias are of same color as our tooth and they hide in hard to reach areas of our mouth like gum line and between tooth. Plaque bacteria attack on sugary tooth. They turn sugar into acid and acid into enamel. This is where our body fights back thanks to saliva. Saliva is full of minerals that replaces the tooth structures dissolved away by plaque acids. It takes about 20mins for the minerals to get back in balance after a meal. But if more minerals are taken away than replaced then enamel collapses and bacteria can get into tissue below. This causes cavity and the tooth is in trouble.

Bacteria will start rotting the dent in the enamel causing tooth decay. WHen decay hits sensitive area you get tooth decay. By now enamel is completely undermined. Although only a dentist can remove bacteria from cavity but you can play your own part in the battle. If you cut off in between meal snacks and regularly remove bacterias with brush and floss, then by this you will be helping your body win the war against tooth decay.

For more information about dental problems you can contact me on Lybrate or walk into my dental clinic, Ethical Dental and Health Care, Sector-1004, Noida.

How To Deal With Headache & Facial Pain?

How To Deal With Headache & Facial Pain?

Nagging headaches or facial pain is a common issue faced by many. They can be mild or severe that and can disrupt your routine to a significant extent. If you are experiencing a disturbed vision, an upset stomach, feeling nauseous or vomiting along with the pain, you must consult your physician to identify the cause and avail proper treatment.

What are the factors that cause the issue?
Several underlying problems can be the reason for a facial pain including oral infections, a toothache, facial injuries, a skin abscess, nerve disorder or even an open sore. Sometimes constantly annoying headaches or sinusitis may also lead to facial pain. And some of the more commons issues that result in a headache are tension, anxiety, excessive stress, sleeplessness, migraines and sinus problems. A headache can also occur due to more severe causes such as tumor or cancer in the brain, neck issues, abnormalities of any kind in the blood vessels and muscles of the brain, etc.

When to seek medical help?
The symptoms of facial pain may vary depending on the factor that's triggering the pain. From swelling to open sores, redness, rashes on the skin, etc. are often associated with facial pain symptoms. People usually describe the facial pain to be an achy feeling or stabbing or cramp-like sensation on the different facial parts.

Headaches usually occur alone. However, some of its associated symptoms are blurry vision, difficulty in walking straight, confusion, trouble in speaking correctly, excessive sleepiness, neck pain, and neck stiffness. Sometimes, developing increased sensitivity to noise or light is also a symptom of headaches. Headaches can be mild to moderate to very excruciating. When the pain in the head becomes severe, it leads to vomiting and nausea.

What are the pain management strategies for this issue?
When it comes to headaches and facial pain management, the treatment options also vary depending on the causes of such pain. From stress reduction to, pain managing medications, elimination of particular foods from one's daily diet and biofeedback training are some of the most common ways of pain management. Regular exercise can also help in dealing with pain in some cases. However, if the cause of a face pain or headaches lies in some severe health diseases, prompt medical attention may be required for treating them first.

Remember, the moment you think that your quality of life is in some way impacted by head pain and facial pain, don't hesitate to look for medical assistance. Because, until unless, you do not consider undertaking proper methods of pain management suggested by a doctor, getting back to a healthy pain-free life and concentrating on your daily works may be impossible.

How can I keep my teeth shiny white? As now they are pale yellow. Please advise.
Here is home remedy for brighter teeth--- mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse, so as to avoid the acid effecting enamel. If you are using just water you can leave it on for up to 3 minutes. For faster result you can go for teeth bleaching from dentist.

Get laminate or crown done depending upon amount of tooth structure lost. You may need root canal treatment for that tooth. Radiograph and check up will decide final treatment plan.

You have got infection in your gums which is why it's swollen and also receding from your teeth. The best course of treatment is to go to the dentist and get a scaling done. This will help eliminate your infection. Besides maintaining oral hygiene is of prime importance if you don't want your gum infection to recur.
