My eyes is suffering from squint and my eye bal keep shaking. Can this be treated? How long and what is the price for surgery?

My eyes is suffering from squint and my eye bal keep shaking. Can this be treated? How long and what is the price for...
Greetings lybrate-user, Squint means deviation of the eye which is treatable by surgery with very high success rate. Small minority of cases may be corrected by wearing spectacles. If eyes are shaking constantly, that's a separate condition called Nystagmus, which is not possible to correct in most patients. If vision in one or both eyes is poor, squint may reappear after few years. Price varies from place to place, anywhere between 15,000 to 30,000 depending on type and complexity of the squint. In case you have further queries, feel free to connect with me. Regards Dr. Manik.

Hi. Get your eyes tested. Usually eye fatigue can be prevented or reduced by making simple changes in your work habits or environment. Make changes to your computer screen, such as: Place the screen 20-26 inches away from your eyes and a little below eye level. Regularly clean off dust and fingerprints from the screen. Smudges on the screen can reduce contrast and increase problems with glare and reflections. Choose screens that tilt and swivel. Consider using a glare filter over your screen. Make changes to your work environment, such as: Change lighting to reduce glare and harsh reflections. Use an adjustable chair. Place a document holder next to your computer screen. Can wear anti-glare spectacles during using computer. Make changes to your work habits, such as: Try the 20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes, look away about 20 feet in front of you for 20 seconds. Post a note that says "Blink" on the computer as a reminder. Take regular breaks from computer work. Take care of your eyes with these steps: Apply a washcloth soaked in warm water to tired, dry eyes (with eyes closed). Use artificial tears to refresh your eyes when they feel dry. To help prevent dry eyes while working indoors, use an air cleaner to filter dust and a humidifier to add moisture to the air. Medication: Instill 2 drops of Euphrasia eye drops twice daily.

My right eye vision is getting too much low please give. Me some important tips to improve my vision please.
Hello anant. If the vision loss is in just one eye, it would be a better idea to get a complete eye assessment done. There could be different reasons associated with the vision loss. All the same, let me suggest a few tips to improve your vision on the whole. Let me enumerate the diet necessary for healthy eyes. (1) green leafy vegetables including spinach, sprouts, cabbage, beetroot. (2) fruits-blue-berries, black-berries, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi fruit, grapes, pineapple, pomegranate, grapes, guava. (3) dry-fruits: almonds, walnuts, apricots, dates. (4) cereals: oats, barley, millets. (5) drink a cup of green tea daily. (6) drink a glass of milk daily. Don't take your eyes for granted! protect your sight with these six tips: 1. Eat for good vision 2. Quit smoking 3. Wear sunglasses / helmets to shield your eyes from dust, sunlight, pollution 4. Wash your eyes 3-4 times a day 5. Look away from the computer screen at regular intervals 6. Avoid rubbing your eyes with fingers/ cloth/ shirt/ dupatta, etc. All these suggestions may take a while to sink in and imbibe in your routine. Once followed, they are sure to work wonders for you. Everyone, even young children, should get their eyes examined regularly. It helps you protect your sight and see your best.

Lasik surgery done before 3 weeks halos and glayer are disturbing so much at night and vision is not sharp and stable.

MBBS, DOMS, MS - Ophthalmology, Fellowship In Phacoemusification, Senior Consultant Surgeon
Ophthalmologist, Patna
Lasik surgery done before 3 weeks halos and glayer are disturbing so much at night and vision is not sharp and stable.
LASIK is refractive surgery to correct myopia, hypermetropia & astigmatism, refractive surgery also include intraocular lend procedure. For  LASIK your eyes must be healthy, if you have persistent dry eyes, LASIK surgery may aggravate this condition resulting in burning sensation & blurring of vision after LASIK.  For LASIK cornea must have sufficient thickness because in reshaping of cornea, you loose the thickness of cornea & if your cornea is too thin, you are not fit case for LASIK.   -1D of myopic correction  consumes 35 micron of corneal thickness.  Average thickness of cornea in Indian is 450 micron to 500 micron& after LASIK there should be around 300 micron thickness of cornea for safety of eye in future.  Pupils are usually large in myopic people who undergo LASIK resulting in side effects such as halos, glares especially when driving in night.       LASIK for the treatment of high retractive errors are less predictable, because very high amount of myopia may require removal of too much corneal tissue putting at high risk of vision complications.  LASIK should not be undertaken before 21 years in male & 19 years in female because myopic power increases by that age, you must have stable vision before LASIK.   There is no upper age limit but one should keep in mind that once you are 40 years old, you may still need reading glass due to presbyopia changing every two years till you develop cataract in old age.     Contraindication for LASIK is degenerative disease, sjogren syndrome, type 1 diabetes etc. People who are taking immunosuppressive must think 10 times before undergoing LASIK.  One must go LASIK  screening before taking decision for LASIK.   One who undergoes for LASIK should be fully aware of potential LASIK complications & should not hide anything from operating surgeon about health.

Sir I have headache when I study. Sometimes my eyes got red also. What shall I do?
I hope you have checked your eyes for any glass power. Because common cause of headache is having a glass power and not wearing it. Get your eyes checked for glasspower. Meanwhile take frequent breaks in your studies. Take a clean handkerchief and dip in cold water and keep it over closed eyes for 2 minutes. You will feel better.
