Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You sustained this injury to your left shoulder while doing bench press exercise. It could be just a soft tissue injury but it has to be carefully evaluated and managed. As a general management way, if you have only mild shoulder pain with no associated swelling or any instability, then you should start with activity modification, gentle anti inflammatory medications, physical therapy and wait till your pain and associated symptoms subside. Subsequently start gradually with proper pre activity warmup and a slow increments in physical activity everyday as per pain tolerance. Kindly show me x-ray of affected part. Most probably you are suffering from oa of knee. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, in our hands. We have well equipped center in delhi. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to take benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Kindly show me x- rays before a final decision can be taken. You will be thoroughly investigated before surgery is under taken. I am 50 years old house wife. And last one year I am not able to lift my right hand up to my head. It gives lot of while lifting my hand. I have consulted a orthopedic doctor he suggested combiflame tablet with some physical excersice. But gives relief for 2 or 3 hours after allowing the tablet. Can any doctor or physiotherapist suggest permanent remedy for this pain.

What you have described is very classic history of rotator cuff muscles tear. There is definitely cure for it. First confirm the diagnosis by checkup of shoulder and mri of shoulder at 3 tesla mri machine. After mri reports, I can tell you treatment.

This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

Back Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

It happens because of the calcium deficiency. Start taking its supplements like bananas, milk, sitaphal etc. And take Calc Phos 6X three times in a day for 1 month. It will be alright. Take care. :) And if you have any other query. Please ask.

My husband got hurt jst below his knee (on his right leg), around 3 months bck. He got hurt by the sharp edge of a table. And even till today he has lot of pain. But at the look of it, thrs no swelling as such, but when we feel the painful area, it pains and also feels like a bump. Tried applying all kinds of pain relieving sprays, but its of no use. Kindly suggest us the best home remedy which can reduce the pain, since he is walking with quite difficulty. Thank u.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting Contrast bath- Fill two buckets/ tubs with Very Hot Water and Very Cold water. Immerse your legs into the water for 3 minutes and then switch to cold water for 1minute. Repeat this 3 times once a day.

Kindly show me the x-rays of feet & knee. You may Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. Hi and what about vitamin d? you can start physiotherapy treatment to strengthen the muscles around the joint, stabilize the joint, and improve your range of motion. The therapist will use techniques such as ultrasound, heat or cold therapy, electrical nerve stimulation, and manipulation. Was hospitalised last week for stomach infection. . Came hone on sunday . Med. Given for next 10 days. Ct scan and sonography report normal. Good bowel and urine . Eating good now. Recent checkup to the doctor. Told that still infection is there and so there is swelling in the intestine because of the infection. Pain is lesser than before. So when the pain will go.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Hi * stop running completely or decrease your training. *apply ice to reduce inflammation. *gently stretch your achilles and your calves. *consider cross-training for a while swim, run in the pool or ride a bike. *when you return to running, increase your mileage slowly, no more than 10 percent weekly. *make sure you wear the correct running shoes do reply for detailed treatment plan. : keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 ra factor, crp, urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor.
