Fever and local sight pain could be a symptom due to vaccine but that too is very rare with the vaccine you have mentioned. So may be child is having some other infection i, e. Developing common cold or cough! wait for a day--> as if vaccine is the cause, symptoms shall disappear in a day.

flu is usually not worrisome unless causing LRTI and lung injury which is rare. but to prevent this recurrence is advisable to get yearly vaccination done. regards

Normally after any febrile illness, babies may refuse feeds for a while. Try ors or fruit juice to avoid dehydration. Things will be fine soon.

Please tell about general line of treatment for loose motions in paediatric patient

M.D.( Pediatrics), DCH
Pediatrician,
Keep the child well hydrated by adequate replacement of lost fluid by WHO recommended ORS and routine home diet with little added salt.If child is taking breast feeds continue with that. And wait patiently unless he is dehydrated( In that case visit hospital he might need IV fluids). It takes time to get well.Hope this helps

If you want to save your money than all the government centers are very well equipped with vaccination OR take a bill and get your work done from your child paediatrician who should be nearby your locality

I have a kid for 2 years. Suddenly one morning on 08/12/2017 she started vomiting. Vomiting was continuous say 7- 8 times. She was admitted to hospital for 24 Hours. Now she is okay. During hospitalization she was given drip and various injections. Before discharge doctor has prescribed Ondem syrup and Rantac syrup. The same problem i.e frequent vomiting occurred during the month of June 2017. At that time she was admitted to ICU for 24 hours. I am not able to make out the reasons behind vomiting. Please come up with answer.

Your child could be severely allergic to a particular food item. Can you think of anything that was common in these 2 events. It could be egg, any sea food, any frozen snack, any new food item, some jelly/candy. Such severe bout of vomiting could also result from gastric infection. During such bouts, the body tends to reject anything that is taken orally including water which is why the vomiting continues and situation improves after the fluids and medication is given intravenously. Please think carefully and note down everything that she took in the last 48 hours before she started having vomiting. You might figure out the cause. Take care.
