Undergo scaling. If you are not satisfied with that then you can undergo bleaching with which you can increase your colour upto four shades.

After root canal it's better to have a crown capping of the particular tooth to avoid such kind of situations No worry if part of crown of tooth remains somewhat it can be restored using capping of tooth. It is safe don't worry.

Sir I have a dental problem that one of my front tooth is broken before five months what can I do for correcting it.
Hi lybrate-user. Firstly, you may need to take a radiograph to ascertain there is no fracture extending to the root. From your explanation, I am assuming you do not have any pain or discomfort associated with the tooth. That being the case, you may consult an endodontist of a cosmetic dentist to resolve your problem. It may require a crown of porcelain veneer or bonding with composite material, with or without root canal therapy. Wish you the best.

Hello, Bleeding could be because of deposits on your teeth or food lodged in your teeth. Visit a dentist get your scaling and polishing done. You can also go for bleaching or whitening. Brush twice daily, maintain proper brushing technique, floss regularly and rinse after every meal.

My dentist said to take diclomol pain killer one hour before initiation of dental flap surgery. I read a pain killer could induce heavy blood flow if taken before surgery. I am seeking for a second opinion regarding this. Is it fine to take diclomol pain killer 1 hour before surgery? Thanks doc.

My dentist said to take diclomol pain killer one hour before initiation of dental flap surgery. I read a pain killer ...
Don't worry, pain killer are primarily used only for relieving pain. Yes they can cause increased bleeding but not in just single dose. There are multiple side effects of pain killers but they are primarily related to prolonged use. Asking patient to take a pain killer before any surgery is usually a routine procedure or you may call it a protocol. It helps reduce pain during the procedure, alleviate anxiety and relax patient. One more suggestion, it's nothing wrong in taking second opinion but it is also important to trust your doctor and discuss with him/her your fears and questions instead of doubting his/her decisions. I am sure your doctor will be very happy to answer all your questions. All the best for your surgery, wish you a speedy recovery:)

I m suffering from mouth ulcer from 4 days. What should I do to cure it. What are its causes and treatments.
ulcers occurred due to sharp edged tooth or some overhanging margin of a filling or crown.....we need to find the right cause before we can start over the treatment........for pain relief, you can apply a topical oral ulcer gel containing choline salicylate and lignocaine hcl..aslo start warm saline rinses

To lessen the degree of pain or soreness in the mouth during the orthodontic treatment, you can gargle with 8 ounces of lukewarm water with one teaspoonful of salt dissolved in it. Swish it around your mouth and then spit it out. It will dull the pain and provide relief.

How can I clean my teeth or which toothpaste should I go for? I have yellowish teeth.
There are several causes of tooth discoloration, including: foods/drinks. Coffee, tea, colas, wines, and certain fruits and vegetables (for example, apples and potatoes) can stain your teeth. Tobacco use. Smoking or chewing tobacco can stain teeth. Poor dental hygiene. Inadequate brushing and flossing to remove plaque and stain-producing substances like coffee and tobacco can cause tooth discoloration. Disease. Several diseases that affect enamel (the hard surface of the teeth) and dentin (the underlying material under enamel) can lead to tooth discoloration. Treatments for certain conditions can also affect tooth color. For example, head and neck radiation and chemotherapy can cause teeth discoloration. In addition, certain infections in pregnant mothers can cause tooth discoloration in the infant by affecting enamel development. Medications. The antibioticstetracycline and doxycycline are known to discolor teeth when given to children whose teeth are still developing (before age 8). Mouth rinses and washes containing chlorhexidine and cetylpyridinium chloride can also stain teeth.
