Hi you have condition achilles tendinitis. You may be having severe pain for the initial few steps after getting up from bed or after being seated for some time. You require rest, avoid stressful activities like running, jumping, heeled shoes/ slippers all the time, hot fomentation morning and night, physiotherapy and medications. May be you haven't provided adequate rest. It will take time.

. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – Lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hello Lybrate user. As you mentioned above your wife is suffering from listhesis of l4 over l5. Well regarding ceragem massage I am not very clear whether it is useful but as a physiotherapist I can assure you that there's term core stabilisation mean exercise done for stability of core muscles wou definitely help in this situation, must be done regularly and avoid extension of back (bhujangasan. Back ache can be due to several reasons. It can be muscular, related to disc degeneration or prolapse, joint irritation or nerve pinching. Most common is muscle pain due to tight and weak back and abdominal muscles. Keep a positive attitude, focus more on keeping good posture especially when sitting for long hours, use lumbar support. Take frequent breaks and stretch in between. Try changing sleeping habits. Try hot or cold therapy as tolerated. Wish you speedy recovery.

Hello. You know the reason of your problem. So have a habbit of unfixing your long sittings/standing. Do switch between your posture. Kindly opt for some spinal nd core muscle exercises :) proper diet + routine exercise is all you need! Regards!

Hi = relax and stay positive. = increase fluid intake. = eat seasonal fruits for natural vitamins = do stretching of hamstring, quadriceps, and calf muscles. = if you are overweight, reduce weight by cycling or swimming as it gives low impact on joints. = do check your calcium and vit. D = apply moist heat pad to affected joint and muscles. If still you dont get relief see a physiotherapist as there are various causes for leg/ joint pain and some test may be required for further investigation. Best wishes.

Hi it is possible to prevent neuropathy in your feet. Here are some tips to help you live a healthy lifestyle and prevent damage to the nerves in your feet: +rule out diabetes, vitamin b12 +eat plenty of whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and lean protein. +exercise regularly. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption. +be aware if you are sitting or standing in a cramped position; move around or shift often. +avoid repetitive motions; if possible, change your routines. For example, swim one day and run the next. +discuss new diets and exercise programs with your doctor first. Best wishes.

I am 33 years male, from last 10 years I have backpain, in early morning on bed it becomes more, even I can't hold my 1 yrs child. Now I feel that pain is moving upside towards my neck.

This could be due to lumbar spondylosis with nerve root compression. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated. Do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

Body joints makes noise because some of your cartilage wears away as part of the normal aging process, Then these surfaces get a little rougher and so you get more noise as they rub against each other. And joint sounds can come and go, depending on how you position your body when you sit and sleep, and how you use your body when you move, One way to avoid creaking joints is to move as much as you can during the day the more your body lubricates itself, the sound will decrease. If it is associated with pain or swelling then its a point of concern. Otherwise its normal.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.
