This is a general strain due to excessive walking or standing and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes. One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain. The reason why you cannot walk more than an hour is because your muscles have become so weak and it becomes tired very easily. To break that fatigue it is advisable to drink or eat protein and mineral food which would be a reservoir for you to store the energy.

I m 29 year old man. Last one year I have realized that my body parts bubbling any time. Like some time my biceps twitch some times below the eye area twitch. Some times my body specially my hand & hand finger shivering. I feel like powerless my body. Like paralysis

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Inform after 10 days.

I have lower back pain and I see a orthopedic surgeon after diagnosing my spine xray he said that there is a partial slip on disc (L4) due lifting weights in the gym. Exercise is the only way to re leave pressure over lower back. Exercise should include moderate walk and leg raising exercises by lying on back. Avoid bending forward and lifting heavy weight as it increases the pressure over back causing more problem. Consult privately for any other query.

Wht is the growth rate of the bone. After fracture. How long will the full recovery take.

It depends on the type of bone, location, age of the patient and also whether its a closed or open injury, nature of the soft tissues around the fracture, associated medical problems like diabetes. So there is no straight forward answer to it. However a rough guide is 6-12 weekds for upper limb bones in adults and upto 24 weeks for lower limb bones.

Go for blood investigation. Paracetamol will only decrease fever and pain. The actual cause must be treated. Blood investigation to be done. Cbc Esr

Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Foot exercises. Do the following exercises barefoot: •1. First write digits 1 to 10 using your toes raised up in the air. •2. Sit on a chair, raise your toes and curl them •3. Pick up a small piece of cloth off the floor using your toes. •4. Still in a sitting position, point your toes and circle your ankles in a slow counter and clockwise motion. •5. Stand up from the sitting position and go on tip toe for 5 seconds.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi I am 69 year old complete paraplegic having sp. Cord cut by d 5-6 in an accident 5yr ago. My spine is fixed by operation putting some screws etc. I can only sit by spport for some time. I cant balance my body. I have regular pain in back. I am eger to do all my work independently is it possible if yes then how. Managing bladder by cic & bowl by my son. Tacking medicine 1- synoptal & duzzela-20 for pain. Pl. Advice me how can I increase my mobility to do all my daily work by self. I would actually need to understand your current neurological status but it seems a complete spinal cord injury because you are taking care of your bladder and bowel as well. Unfortunately there is no scientifically proven remedy for complete spinal cord injuries as yet, mainstay remains intensive physical therapy, wheelchair mobilization and supportive medications. But you can be independent for sure for most of your jobs, there is a centre in new delhi by the name of indian spinal injuries center which gives training for this. For pain apply hot water and cold water fomentation thrice a day for 12 days of 15 minutes duration each time and still pain continues do consult musculoskeletal physiotherapist or orthopaedician asap to rule out nerve deficit or ls lesions if any best wishes

Rule out high blood pressure or any other kidney problem do hot fomentation keep a pillow under the legs at night &/when resting. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days caldikind plus (mankind) 1 tab odx10days do knee exercises it may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. You will need other supportive medicines also. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Don? t ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation.
