Hello, self-care measures can help ease the pain of a migraine headache. Try muscle relaxation exercises. Relaxation techniques may include progressive muscle relaxation, meditation or yoga. Get enough sleep, but don't oversleep. Get an adequate amount of sleep each night. It's best to go to bed and wake up at regular times, as well. If possible, rest in a dark, quiet room when you feel a headache coming on. Place an ice pack wrapped in a cloth on the back of your neck and apply gentle pressure to painful areas on your scalp. Medication: take bakson's mig-aid tablet/ 1 tablet 3 times a day.

Had seizures 4-5 times 10 years back. Was on medicine (encorate chrono and gardenal) for next 6 years and then got normal. From. Last four years not taking any medicine and is perfectly alright and normal. Is it ok. To take CAVERTA 50 MG once in a week and if not what medicine you suggest for ED? Regards.

I used propranolol hydrochloride tablets for 2 months to cure migraine pains. Will it have an serious side effects on heart? Does this medicine is the cause of my palpitations? Thank you.

Propranolol does have side effects but it certainly does not cause a rise in heart beats/ palpitations. Side effects depend upon the dose of propranolol taken rather than the duration for which it is taken. Usually the dose taken for migraine prophylaxis does not cause side effects unless you have an underlying heart disease before starting it.

Parkinson' s disease-kampavata (a neurological disorder) parkinson' s disease is a neurological disease, or brain disorder, that leads to progressive difficulty with balance and coordination. In people who have parkinson' s disease, nerve cells in a region of the brain known as the substantia nigra become damaged or die. These cells are important because they produce the chemical dopamine, which helps to coordinate body movement-basal ganglia. When dopamine-producing cells degenerate/die, the areas in the brain that control movement can no longer function properly, and symptoms of parkinson' s disease eventually develop. Parkinson? s disease prevalence:- parkinson' s disease can affect anyone, but it most often occurs in people who are over the age of 50. Only 15 percent of parkinson' s disease patients are diagnosed before they are 50 years old. The prevalence of parkinson' s disease is nearly the same in both men and women, and recovery rate is more in men. People with a family history of parkinson' s may have a higher risk of developing the disease, but parkinson' s disease is rarely attributed to genetics alone. Parkinson' s disease symptoms symptoms of parkinson' s disease usually develop after about 80 percent of the brain' s dopamine-producing cells are lost. The main symptoms of parkinson' s disease include? tremors(kampam)- tremulousness (uncontrolled shaking or trembling) of the hands, arms, legs, face, body is often one of the first indicators of parkinson' s disease? rigidity. Profound stiffness or an inability to easily move the arms, legs, and trunk, pain and stiffness on neck muscles is another hallmark of parkinson' s? bradykinesia:- describes the unnaturally slow movements that are characteristic of people with parkinson' s disease? poor balance- parkinson' s disease affects balance, leading to difficulty walking and impaired coordination. The symptoms of parkinson' s are generally mild at first, but become more severe over time, until they eventually interfere with your daily routine. This is usually the point when treatment is recommended. The outlook for people with parkinson' s disease parkinson' s disease is a chronic, progressive condition, which means it is a lifelong disease that worsens over time when it is not treated properly. Each individual' s situation is different, but in general, the first symptoms of parkinson' s disease usually don' t require treatment and may be restricted to one area or one side of the body. Movement of symptoms to the other side of the body? tremors that become more pronounced and interfere with activities? bradykinesia, or slow movement, that becomes disabling? difficulty with hand writing? impaired swallowing and chewing? speech that becomes monotone? poor balance and repeated falls? slow, shuffling gait (manner of walking)? stooped posture? facial expressions that become stiff and blank? chronic constipation? poor bladder control? sleep disturbances this progression is gradual in most people, but it may happen faster in some than others. Understandably, stress caused by the progression of the disease can lead to anxiety and depression. Ayurveda treatment: there is cure for parkinson' s disease with ayurveda treatment, with ayurveda medicines and treatments we can relieve symptoms, slow down the progression and then we can completely arrest further degeneration of the of the cells, thereby we can completely control and cure the disease. Numbness in hands especially numbness that is relieved by shaking hands vigorously or wringing hands can suggest carpal tunnel syndrome. If, in addition, she really has tingling in the legs then other conditions including thyroid problems, b12 deficiency, and paraneoplastic problems etc need to be ruled out. In my experience usually these turn out to be two different problems (carpal tunnel + back arthritis, neck + back arthritis etc)

I am Suffering with severe migraine. Used naprodom 250mg for pain relief every rummage it used to work but this time it did not work.

Migrane is characterised by one sided headache which is pulsatile in nature and with a throbbing pain usually with an aura and its a clinical diagnosis and we need to take tablet propranolol after examination and For headache take tablet paracetamol

Am suffering from migraine. From past one year. I couldn't bare it. I took medication from doctor. But I couldn't bare it when m exposed it sun, journeys and stress.

You have not mentioned which medicines you have taken. You should take preventive medicines to stop your migraine attacks on exposure to trigger , in your case sun,travel etc. In many patients one medicine may not work well , in such cases different medicines have to be used. Follow these lifestyle changes to avoid migraine headache 1. Maintain regular sleep wake cycle, even on holiday's. 2. Don't skip meals. Take regular healthy diet with adequate fluids 3. Do not consume excess caffeine / carbohydrates / alcohol or smoke. 4. Exercise daily ( aerobics and cardiovascular) 5. Identify your headache trigger and try to avoid it.In your case use an umbrella when in sunlight, use sunglasses and hats etc. 6. Do pranayam daily. 7. Acupuncture treatment has shown some benefits in migraine. You can consult a pain specialist for therapies like dry needling or botulinum injections for your problem. Consult again for further queries.

There can be many causes of a headache such as physiological changes in the head, constriction of blood vessels, abnormal neuron activity, genetic causes, excessive smoking, excessive drinking, lack of water in the body, oversleeping, overuse of pain killers, eye strain, neck strain, and others. Ginger ginger can help reduce inflammation of the blood vessels in the head, thus providing relief from a headache. Mix equal parts of ginger juice and lemon juice. Consume it once or twice a day. Another option is to apply a paste of one teaspoon of dry ginger powder, also called sonth, and two tablespoons of water on the forehead for a few minutes. You can also boil ginger powder or raw ginger in water, and inhale the vapor. Chew one or two pieces of crystallized ginger candy.

These adverse effects may be .Transient (7-10 days) like Blurred vision, raised intraocular pressure or headaches, which can be controlled by some analgesic, rest,meditation or some pure nutritional supplement can be advised if asked for .

Kindly show me digital x rays of ls. Spine sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od do neck, back & shoulder exercises it may have to be further investigated you will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Sleep Paralysis...
Waking Up And Being Unable To Move
Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night terrified and been unable to move?
Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon that occurs when a person wakes up from a sleep being unable to move, speak, or react.
It usually occurs as a person is about to fall asleep or as they are about to wake up out of sleep, and is usually accompanied with breathing difficulties.
This may not sound like a big deal for those who haven?t experienced it, but it can be terrifying at times.
You are totally paralyzed and unable to wake yourself up.
When you are in a state of paralysis,it is the brains natural response to think that you are under attack, so your brain naturally enters into a state of ?flight? mode.
Sometimes, sleep paralysis is accompanied by hallucinations or the feeling that there is an intruder in the room.
Some people even claim to sense the presence of demonic entities that sit on their chest, or aliens that stand over top of them.
In fact, the Chinese used to call this experience ?Gui Ya? which means ?ghost pressure?, and they believed that a ghost would come sit on your chest as you sleep and paralyze you.
What is the scientific reason reason this is happening?
Well, there isn?t any confirmed theory out there yet.
The most plausible scientific explanation is that it is thought to occur when the mind wakes up out of REM sleep while the body is still in a state of atonia to prevent sleepers from acting out their dreams.
I would agree with this for the most part, but who have experienced sleep paralysis with eyes open as one was sitting up in bed after waking up from a sleep, so one know for a fact my brain was not in a REM state of sleep because one could already been awake for several minutes.
In this notification, we will look at what to do to stay calm during sleep paralysis, how to prevent it from happening, and how to use it to your own spiritual advantage.
What to do when you can?t move
I have had a great deal of experiences with sleep paralysis, and have now reached a point where it no longer bothers one anymore.
The first time it happened to someone, One can tried to fight it and forcefully wake myself up from it.
This only caused by ones fear and anxiety and was completely ineffective.
If you wake up and realize you are in a state of sleep paralysis, don?t resist it.
The minute you resist it, you will start freaking out.
Accept it, and treat it as an opportunity to practice patience and peace of mind.
Conscious breathing really helps keeping your mind from entering freak-out mode.
Breathe in slowly and consciously, and exhale slowly and consciously.
Don?t panic.
Make it your mission when you are in sleep paralysis to be as calm as you can, and treat it as a chance to be fully present within your body.
Enter a meditative state of mind, and it will shortly pass with time.

There have been times where one have heard voices in ear while being paralyzed, but One remained calm by meditating and practicing conscious breathing.
It?s kind of like taking psychedelic drugs.
You can give yourself a bad experience by what you choose to think about and where you allow your mind to wander.
It can only have power over you if you give it your power.
Keep your attention inside your breath.
Pretend that you chose you would experience sleep paralysis at that time, and full embrace the experience with peace of mind.
Prayer has also brought many people peace during scary experiences of sleep paralysis, so if you feel comfortable calling out to God, that will only help bring you more comfort.
Preventing sleep paralysis
There are several factors that have been identified as increasing your chances of experiencing sleep paralysis.
Some of these include physical fatigue, under-sleeping, and erratic sleep schedule,stress, and an overuse of stimulants.
For me personally, oversleeping is what has caused most of my sleep paralysis experiences.
Most of the happen when one choose to go back to sleep even when one can rested, or when one take a nap throughout the day.
So a big way to prevent paralysis from happening is to have a proper sleep schedule.
Healthier sleep habits is the best thing you can do to avoid this experience.
Another big way to prevent sleep paralysis is to not sleep in supine position.
This is what supine position looks like:
When you sleep flat on your back in supine position, your soft palate is more likely to collapse and obstruct your breathing.
This causes you to wake up out of deep sleep while your body is still in a state of atonia from REM sleep.
Sleeping on your stomach (in prone position) or on your side is a good way to prevent this from happening.
Using sleep paralysis to your spiritual advantage
Sleep paralysis can be a burden for some, and an opportunity for others.
Not only can you treat it as a test to see how present and calm you can become,you can also use it a chance to try to initiate an out-of-body experience or a lucid dream.
Remember, some part of you remains in REM sleep while your waking mind is alert and attentive.  What if this REM atonia is a sort of toolbox that enables you to use your will, intention, and visualization to leave your body and enter into new worlds?

Affirm to yourself that you are going to have an out-of-body experience, and visualize yourself hovering over top of your own body.
Feel yourself starting to leave your body, and stay calm in your mind knowing that you will soon be outside of your body.
Many people claim that they try to induce sleep paralysis on purpose as one of the beginning stages of astral travel.
Don?t think if yourself as a victim to a scary experience.
Think of yourself as a pioneer on the edge of a world of lucid dreams and astral travel and create the experience you want for yourself.  Science tells us that we are literally at the brink of the world of sleep and dreams and the world of waking life.
Why not use it to your spiritual advantage and experiment a little bit?
The truth is, there is really nothing to be scared of.
Nobody has ever died or been injured from being in sleep paralysis,and it usually doesn?t last for more than 30 seconds.
Work with it, practice presence, clean up your sleep schedule, and if you feel like you?re up to it, use is as a launching pad for the exploration of other dimensions.
