I was addicted to smoke n alcohol for almost three years. Bt now I decided to reform myself and overcome everything. Today was the first day of my running exercise. But After running I felt pain at the centre of my chest for 10-15 mins till I get normal. Is it something serious?

Not at all, but do not exert yourself all of a sudden. Initially, when you start any exercise program after a long gap, you will have aches and pains because those muscles that have remained passive for some time are suddenly being strained and therefore they will feel the pain for some time. But if you persist with a lower intensity until the pain eases up, you will find it better over time. Congratulations on your decision and keep it up under any circumstances.

130/80 bp is not an indication for starting antihypertensives. Consult a physician before continuing medicines. As such masturbation will not seem to cause problems in your case.

You've probably heard that high blood pressure is a problem. Sometimes blood pressure that is too low can also cause problems. Blood pressure is the force of your blood pushing against the walls of your arteries. Each time your heart beats, it pumps out blood into the arteries. Your blood pressure is highest when your heart beats, pumping the blood. This is called systolic pressure. When your heart is at rest, between beats, your blood pressure falls. This is the diastolic pressure. Your blood pressure reading uses these two numbers. Usually they're written one above or before the other, such as 120/80. If your blood pressure reading is 90/60 or lower, you have low blood pressure. Some people have low blood pressure all the time. They have no symptoms and their low readings are normal for them. In other people, blood pressure drops below normal because of a medical condition or certain medicines. Some people may have symptoms of low blood pressure when standing up too quickly. Low blood pressure is a problem only if it causes dizziness, fainting or in extreme cases, shock. Certain medicines and substances can lead to low blood pressure, including:     * Alcohol     * Anti-anxiety medicines     * Certain antidepressants     * Diuretics     * Heart medicines, including those used to treat high blood pressure and coronary heart disease     * Medicines used for surgery     * Painkillers Other causes of low blood pressure include:     * Nerve damage from diabetes     * Changes in heart rhythm (arrhythmias)     * Not drinking enough fluids (dehydration)     * Heart failure You can do a few things to prevent low blood pressure     * Drinking more fluids     * Getting up slowly after sitting or lying down     * Not drinking alcohol     * Not standing for a long time     * Using compression stockings so blood does not collect in the legs Get these test done to find cause of blood pressure problems tests include Thyroid functions, ECG, ECHO. My blood pressure remains low and I experience black outs occasionally. What should I do?

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine

When your bp goes down you can take coffee. And go for test to confirm hypotension. Test. Echo. Blood pressure is a measurement of the pressure in your arteries during the active and resting phases of each heartbeat. Here's what the numbers mean: systolic pressure. The first (top) number in a blood pressure reading, this is the amount of pressure your heart generates when pumping blood through your arteries to the rest of your body. Diastolic pressure. The second (bottom) number in a blood pressure reading, this refers to the amount of pressure in your arteries when your heart is at rest between beats. Current guidelines identify normal blood pressure as lower than 120/80 mm hg.

Hello The symptoms need to be assessed in details to understand the problem better. It seems to be indicative of health anxiety. Try consulting a clinical psychologist for psychotherapy. Try meditation and deep breathing exercises along with physical exercises to calm your nerves and mind.

I feel heat and constant constant pressure in my eyes from last one week. I checked my b.P and it came to be on higher side. I have no other symptoms of higher b.P. What should i do. Please tell me?

MBBS, DOMS
Ophthalmologist, Hyderabad
Depending on your profession, your eye condition may get altered. Eye problems arising due to high BP usually get reversed after proper and complete treatment for high BP is initiated. It is better to get a complete eye evaluation done to make sure that some other condition is not missed.

The choice of anti anxiety drug to be used depend son severity of the anxiety, it's type, duration and relation with any stressors or biological problems like heart diseases, headaches, hormone imbalances etc. I would advise you not to make any wild guesses about treatment options and consider visiting a psychiatrist personally. Amixide h is used for anxiety but may not always be useful.
