Hello lybrate-user, as you are suffering from psoriasis problem, psoriasis is genetic disorder triggered due to stressful conditions and irregular life style. We are treating psoriasis using ayurvedic medicines. Psoriasis has three stages. First stage is when disease remain on skin and there are scaly patches. Second stage comes when there is pitting on nails and in last stage it enter the joints and there is pain in small joints. Generally patient use steroidal application on patches which give temporary relief and disease reappear after 2/3 days. In severe cases methotrexate is used which is not a safer option and is liver toxic. Ayurveda has got a complete remedy for psoriasis. It is a safer option and can be used for longer duration without any side effects. Ayurvedic external application give very quick results with sun exposure in clearing the scales and internal treatment does not allow the disease to re appear. Psoriasis is a manageable disease and can be managed with ease and effectively using ayurveda. You should use 3 gms of haldi with milk helps in psoriasis patients. For more info you can contact clinic. At present more than 4000 patients suffering from psoriasis are under my treatment and we are getting very good results.

Mr B A Kumar, Most patients with T2 DM some time later in disease have to shift on to Insulin as beta cell function progressively reduces. This may happen after 10, 15 or 20 years of having diabetes. You have mentioned that glucose levels are in control, if so then the level should be : Fasting closer to 100 mg and PP should be 150 to 160 mg and HbA1c% <7. If that is achieved then general health will be invariably good. Plus daily exercise for 1 hour and properly planned diet which gives exact amount of calories based on sugar levels, ideal body weight and extent of daily exercise. If you want any specific suggestions please come back with details like fasting and PP sugar levels, HbA1c%, dietary pattern and any other doubt that you may have.

You can help yourself the best. Please start yoga postures, deep breathing and meditation for about 35 minutes a day. You will start getting tranquillity by nature. Do not take sleeping pills but withania somnifera herb preparations will do wonders for you. For wt shedding also, yoga will help. Some herbal compounds also slowly optimise the wt if taken with warm water. Negative caloric intake is must in food. Do not starve. For detailed solution please converse privately.

Dear Doc,My wife's ears continue to remain blocked after a flight last month. She has tried puffing and exhaling air, saline water gargles but no releif. Can you please suggest some decongestant/other medicine which can be of help.

M.S(ENT),DNB,D.O.R.L, Laryngology fellow
ENT Specialist, Mumbai
She most probably has fluid behind the ear drum. She can take T. Relent o.D once at night time for a week. Also use Otrivin nose drops followed by steam inhalation twice a day. If the problem persists, see an ENT specialist.
