My mother is suffering from arthritis and have leg pain and back pain while sleeping.

My mother is suffering from arthritis and have leg pain and back pain while sleeping.
If you could tell me status of uric acid, ESR, RA Blood reports and X-ray of LS spine repirt, it would be easier to comment correctly. If leg pain is radiating from back, it proves intervertebral disc involvement. You cannot depend on pain killers for life. Physio, Yoga and herbal approach is must for safe management. Pl inform for proper advise or consult any Ayurveda doctor near you. Till then pl arrange for Nycanthes leaves and boil these daily sip warm by adding pure turmeric. For other medicines pl consult me or any Ayurveda doctor for medicine part.

•If your cavity in the tooth is caused by decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection.

Causes and Symptoms of Avulsion Fracture

MS - Orthopaedics, MBBS
Orthopedist, Hyderabad
Causes and Symptoms of Avulsion Fracture

A small piece of bone is known as a fragment and it is very common that an avulsion fracture also tends to damage the protrusions of bone to which the tendons attach. This basically means that the tendon or ligament will come away from the bone and it will take a small piece of bone with it. It is sometimes very hard to find out what type of injury you have and this is why knowing the causes and symptoms of an avulsion fracture are very helpful in determining exactly how severe the injury is.

Here are the causes of an avulsion fracture.

Causes:

  1. Explosive Landing: Athletes who tend to jump or land with great impact tend to get these most commonly. Therefore, it is crucial for your health that if you participate in such sports, you do follow the correct method of jumping.

  2. Explosive Extension: Similar to how an athlete landing ferociously can get an avulsion fracture, someone who is extending the legs very violently and explosively during an exercise can also get an avulsion fracture. This is because the bone getting extended could very well damage the protrusions to which the tendons are attached.

Symptoms:

These are the two main causes of an avulsion fracture. There are not many symptoms of an avulsion fracture. This is because an avulsion fracture can only be determined by an MRI or by an X-ray scan. Therefore it is nearly impossible to diagnose that you have an avulsion fracture without looking at the results of the tests performed on the part of your body. However, the way you got the fracture and especially the details of it are very good indications of whether you have an avulsion fracture or not. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.

Hi! Seems that you have injured yourself a lot. Ligament injury is graded into 3 degrees. 1st is complete tear of the ligament, which solution is Surgery. 2nd and 3rd grade injuries are partial tears which can be managed with immobilisation of the involved joint, no weight bearing, rest, Cold packs and definetely PHYSIOTHERAPY. No other alternative other than exercises. Meet an orthopaedician to the earliest.

Your calf muscle may b tight. do stretching exercise. For that u have to learn from good physiotherapist. wear comfortable footwear, I mean which have comfortable sole. For example sports shoes. Avoid prolong standing. Try to do your majority work in sitting position. This problem start with continues pressure on sole muscles. so u have to take couple of more physiotherapy sessions. I am 65 yrs old and an accident one year before. There were fractures in my pelvic bone. I was advised bed rest and physiotherapy. But now since last two months I am unable to sit at one place not more than half an hour. All my muscles are paining. I get tingling in the morning. Also suffering from fever which is 99 to 100, my routine is disturbed. I have done blood tests and on vit b 12 and d 3 injections. Almost now more than a month but no improvement. Kindly suggest what must be the reason and what medication I should take.

DNB, MBBS
Orthopedist, Delhi
If u have fever, we have to find the cause of fever and site. Get hb, tlc, dlc, esr and pcr for tb and uric acid levels (blood tests). X rays of the painful joint will have to be done. Treatment will depend on the cause of fever. Get your bone density 3 sites. Done too, maybe pain is due to weak bones. The above scan will be done when you' re off calcium for a minimum of 3 days. Vitamin d and b12 supplementation will continue.

i think your posture may be the problem. check your posture: *both shoulders are at level. *both elbows are at level. *your hip curves at level. *the gap between your hanging upper limb and hip curves are equal. *your knees at level. * your ankle joint is at level. * your feet placed properly at ground with V shape. it should be done before mirror. then monitor your walking style: * bending to one side. *placing irregular steps with irregular length. if not try to correct the wrong segment. if everything is correct, consult a qualified physiotherapist for more findings.

Hello you are suffering from the back pain that might be caused by long continuous sitting posture and sedentary life style. you are advised to take 10 minutes break after every 2 hour sitting.Start a morning walk for at least 30 minutes.Regular walking is also very helpful as it is a wholesome exercise of the body, improves blood circulation and helps lose weight.Try to maintain a correct sitting posture. Take homoeopathic medicine Rhus tox. 200, 5 drops twice daily for 10 days, then revert me with feed back.

A person is suffering from arthritis, in that situation what type of food she or he used to take in their daily diet.

MBBS
General Physician, Faridabad
after the menopause. Many people with arthritis also have a risk of developing osteoporosis. The best sources of calcium are: Dairy products such as milk, cheese, yogurt (low-fat ones are best – skimmed and semi-skimmed milk contains more calcium than full-fat milk). Calcium-enriched varieties of milks made from soya, rice or oats. Fish that are eaten with the bones (such as sardines). Arthritis Research UK recommends a daily intake of calcium of 1,000 milligrams (mg), with added vitamin D if you’re over 60. Iron Iron Iron is important in preventing anaemia and many people with arthritis are anaemic. Anti-inflammatory drugs to help treat arthritis help the pain and stiffness of arthritis but may cause bleeding and stomach ulcers in some people, leading to anaemia. The other main cause of anaemia in arthritis is anaemia of chronic disease, which often occurs with rheumatoid arthritis and similar conditions and doesn’t improve with iron supplements. Good sources of iron are: Red meat Oily fish e.g. sardines, salmon, mackerel etc Pulses e.g. lentils and haricot beans Dark green vegetables e.g. spinach, kale and watercress. Your body absorbs iron better if you take it with vitamin C, so have fruit juice or a good portion of fruit or vegetables with your meal. It’s best not to drink tea with your meal as this reduces the amount of iron that your body can absorb.
