If on medication for bp, the pulse is lower. 95 at resting? is on higher side. Do get bp checked and controlled again with medicines. Yoga & meditation also reduce the pulse, so does walking and other exercises according to constitution.

It may be due to acidity and flatulence. Eat less spicy and less fried food items. Always have a walk after meal. Do not lie down immediately after eating. Take antacids two times daily.

Dear lybrateuser, - The heart rate is controlled by the electrical activity of the heart originating from the SA node & travelling through other parts of the heart - any abnormality or disorder in the conducting system can lead to slow heart rate or sinus bradycardia - follow the advise of your doctor as after finding the cause the further management of the problem will be possible, so do not worry go ahead as advised & you will benefit from it.

My father has 90% blockage in one vein. It is detected by angiography done 3 days ago. Now I am in doubt that which process should we adopt angioplasty or bypass. And second thing what are merit or demerit in both.

One blockage can be cleared by baloon therapy(angiography) Merits are that there is no need to do heart surgery + it serves as a warning for rest of life to take care of heart by eating well , exercise and taking stress in your stride with no negative feelings. Good Luck. Bypass surgery should be done if there are Diffuse Blockages all over the heart / blockages are more than 2 , because getting fitted with more stent is not beneficial in the long run compared to one time heart surgery , Aftercare after 2 months is same in both.

She requires change a slight change in medications, a combination of medications, hopefully she may have already had echo, ecg, kidney function tests etc to find any causes that may be leading to this hypertension. Also please ensure she is taking lifestyle measures like salt control in diet, daily 30 mins of walking and eating a healthy diet (you can take detailed diet precautions for the same)
