Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Running is only cardio exercise output only kegel exercises may give good pelvic floor muscle strengthening work out.

1) stop running for 4 days 2) Do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min., afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 3) if its muscle spasm or twisting this will gives you complete relief .give feedback after 4 days .

You hve to do both upper and lower back strengthing exercise followed by breathing exercise like deep breathing.

-ankle pumps -avoid long time sitting to avoid swelling -keep pillows below the legs while sleeping to get proper blood flow. - inversion eversion, flexion extension of foot in warm water will help to get relief from pain

Avoid long standing and keep equal balance on both legs di heat fermentation and gentle massage tk muscle relaxant medicine and rest. If it work then ok otherwise tk physiotherapy treatment tens and ultrasonic therapy.

Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Swing 20 times morning and evenings. Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

I am 30 years old, I have pain in left foot (in the thumb). I have appeared for the uric acid test once it was 7.2 and second time it was 6.1 normal. But even then I felt a pain twice after. Now I am thinking to consult to orthopedics? Some one have told me to go for homeopathy! What should I do exactly? Its been three months to this problem.

Your serum uric acid is slightly raised. It should be less than 6 Follow the advice given below 1. Avoid protein rich diets like mutton egg, fish, mushrooms, sea foods, cauli flower, spinach 2. Take fruits like apple, banana, orange, lime etc 3. Drink plenty of water 4. Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks 5. Take medicine after consulting physician

I had undergone a forearm surgery in left hand above the wrist my both bones got broken and they placed a plate in the bone how can I get recovered and it takes how many days to become normal.

It usually takes around 10 - 12 weeks for the fracture to unite completely. Depending on the instructions given by the surgeon you will have to start moving your elbow and forearm. It takes an average of 4 - 6 months for you to become funtional to a reasonable level.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Limb transplants are still in experimental stage. Below knee prosthesis (artificial limbs) are very successful, particularly ptb prosthesis.
